dirtmonkey · 05/10/2007 12:43

With or without the best of intentions are you trying to start a fight?

Fimbo · 05/10/2007 12:44

Fantastic, supportive OP.

colditz · 05/10/2007 12:46

No.

Summerfruitfullofscaryworms · 05/10/2007 12:46

And the point of this question is...????
That's taken the piss, would you ask to someone's face "Do you think you have given birth properly by having a c section"...someone who wanted badly a natural birth but ended up having a c section because of the baby being distressed ???

Your question is stupid

pyjamagirlgotbitbyvampires · 05/10/2007 12:47

do you have pink hair

LaDiDaDi · 05/10/2007 12:47

No.

MaryAnnSingletomb · 05/10/2007 12:47

ridiculous question

NAB3 · 05/10/2007 12:48

I have reported this as it serves no purpose and is only going to cause upset to those who have had sections and desperately wanted a vaginal delivery.

Ignore her and she may go away.

HonoriaGlossop · 05/10/2007 12:48

You can always safely assume that anyone who prefaces their post with "with the best intentions and no disrespect" is thinking something with NO good intentions and much disrespect, otherwise they wouldn't feel they have to say that.

That's why I won't answer the question.

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 05/10/2007 12:49

Had 2 "real" births and one caesarian.

Felt just as real to me

PrincessAfterLife · 05/10/2007 12:49

Hello. Nice to meet you. I 'gave birth' by E c-section. So, um, no I'm not a 'proper' mother. The 28 hours I spent in labour were just for fun.

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 05/10/2007 12:49

and am only answering the question in case someone is reading this thinking the worst, btw.

scattyspice · 05/10/2007 12:50

What utter bollocks!
(to the OP, not squonk)

kitsandbits · 05/10/2007 12:51

My SIL had a c-section and thats exactly what she said to me,

and I think its awfully sad

MaryAnnSingletomb · 05/10/2007 12:51

I suppose you think that forceps and ventouse and not being able to breast feed would mean I hadn't done it properly too

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 05/10/2007 12:52

oh hang on, if forceps and ventouse aren't "real" either, then I've only done it properly once

Cappuccino · 05/10/2007 12:52

oh god you are right

I had one c section and one natural birth

and now I realise that dd1 is actually a figment of my imagination

katierocket · 05/10/2007 12:53

THis is a piss take right?

PrincessAfterLife · 05/10/2007 12:53

On the other hand, if you are asking this because you had a CS and are feeling like you didn't do it 'properly' then I think you'll find that most women go through that. Being a mother day-to-day soon makes you realise that you did give birth, even if it was in a different way to most other mothers. You did all the hard work, the surgeons helped you out at the end.
