That's taken the piss, would you ask to someone's face "Do you think you have given birth properly by having a c section"...someone who wanted badly a natural birth but ended up having a c section because of the baby being distressed ???

I have reported this as it serves no purpose and is only going to cause upset to those who have had sections and desperately wanted a vaginal delivery.

Hello. Nice to meet you. I 'gave birth' by E c-section. So, um, no I'm not a 'proper' mother. The 28 hours I spent in labour were just for fun.

My SIL had a c-section and thats exactly what she said to me,

and I think its awfully sad

I suppose you think that forceps and ventouse and not being able to breast feed would mean I hadn't done it properly too

On the other hand, if you are asking this because you had a CS and are feeling like you didn't do it 'properly' then I think you'll find that most women go through that. Being a mother day-to-day soon makes you realise that you did give birth, even if it was in a different way to most other mothers. You did all the hard work, the surgeons helped you out at the end.
