I've just been woken up by crampy pains. They're coming every 15 minutes or so, I'm getting niggles.in between too. Are there any 'tests' i can do to see if this is it? I've been up to the loo, no show, no waters etc. drank water and had a little walk around the upstairs. anything else I can try? just to make sure it's not my silly cervix just doing its thing etc. also if it helps I was a miserable irritated bitch all day and kept crying too. Thanks all :)

Good luck bag !!! Flowers

JugglingLife · 08/02/2015 15:46

Don't worry Zsa, you won't hijack it, it'll be nice to have another birth to look forward to after bag. Hopefully she'll have a better time of it than ravioli.

Zsazsabinks · 08/02/2015 18:08

Can't wait for some snakey news!

To be honest, I feel like absolutely nothing at all is happening anywhere, except that I'm getting really upset and frustrated that nothing is happening! Trying to be patient and laugh at myself but it is annoying! Updates from me would be "Today in the Zsazsabinks house: nothing is happening". lol.

JugglingLife · 08/02/2015 18:16

I'm gonna say it again, calm before the oh so painful feels like it will never end storm! Bag has been deliciously quiet for the last 3 hours, it pleases me whilst slurping wine, god I'm a bitch but I've been there seen it done it!

Zsazsabinks · 08/02/2015 18:58

I know, I can't wait for labour to start but I know that the second the first contraction hits....... There was a 4.5 yr gap between my first two so I'd completely forgotten what it was like between them. This time DD2 is only 23months and it's still so fresh in my mind!

Every evening I feel like "maybe this will be it" and I start looking out for labour signs and every little twinge, it's so SO boring. I think that's the bit that's annoying me the most, myself looking for any tiny little sign!

JugglingLife · 08/02/2015 19:19

And every single time you ask yourself how you could have mistaken all those little twinges for the real thing, but we all still do it.

Zsazsabinks · 08/02/2015 20:16

It's that self preservation thing I think, is that a real contraction? Nononono, can't be.... THAT's how you know when it's labour, when you think it isn't! Ridiculously frustrating!

Oh well, at least call the midwife is on tonight and bad of snakes is probably going to have a lovely little announcement for us soon!

JugglingLife · 09/02/2015 10:12

Come on bag!! Hopefully you're just far too busy cuddling. xx

bagofsnakes · 09/02/2015 12:07

Hooray! Baby Elliott was born at home at 5.02pm yesterday after a short labour (4.5 hours). He is a perfect 6lbs15 and he's just beautiful. Birth went well but had to transfer to hospital after for stitches as I had quite a bad tear. All happily at home now.

Thank you for the support ladies. Waiting the last week for this baby was tricky and so it was lovely to have people out there cheering on. Look like all those BHs were doing something as I went straight into active labour, no messing around!

geeky those quick births of small babies really mess up your nether regions don't they? Eek!

bagofsnakes · 09/02/2015 12:09

binks hope you don't have to wait much longer.

Zsazsabinks · 09/02/2015 13:17

Woohooo! Congratulations! Flowers

Me too. Today in zsazsabinks house: not even a twinge! lol

JugglingLife · 09/02/2015 16:06

Oh bloody well done bag, hi Elliott, welcome to the world, I love that name. Come on Zsa, your turn now.

RavioliOnToast · 10/02/2015 12:39

any news zha? come on baby binks !! Ah elliott, what a beautiful name for what I bet is a beautiful boy!! How are you all doing? I'm sat here with my ravioli on toast (really) and my two little angels wondering how I managed to produce such beautiful children! Haha. Hope all are well! Grin

Had a sweep today, and some lovely 'tightenings' that my husband could feel last night. So that's good. Cervix news is (tmi, I have no filter) 1-2 cm dilated, still quite high but easy to pull about a bit, thinning but not completely there yet, mw could get in to do a good sweep around baby's head.

Will take the dog for a nice walk this afternoon and drink lots of raspberry leaf tea too. MW told me that sex is probably the best thing I could do right now but I don't look or feel my most seductive right now! Blush

JugglingLife · 10/02/2015 13:45

Go on Zsa, get it out of the way.

bagofsnakes · 10/02/2015 18:57

Ha! That was juggling's advice to me and it may well have done the trick Smile I really didn't feel like it either but it actually really lifted my mood... And I went into labour the following lunchtime. I say it's worth a try.

Zsazsabinks · 10/02/2015 21:32

I've had some really super mild crampy tightenings, passed a little show too. Think this might go on for a few days though, they don't seem to be developing into anything, they're just too mild. So tired I've can't even be bothered to sit on the ball! Gone to bed with netflix.

JugglingLife · 10/02/2015 23:06

Thank you bag, I am the voice of reasons and that gorgeous bundle in your arms prices it. Zsa, really! you daft mare Netflix is not going to cut it unless you have an illegal copy if me grey. Over to you my sweet. Time to take one for team Zsa. WinkSmile

JugglingLife · 10/02/2015 23:07

Clearly had a fat finger moment or three.

Zsazsabinks · 11/02/2015 10:01

I went to sleep at 9pm! This tiredness is awful! I don't know how women used to do it back in the days where it was normal to have ten children running around. Nightmare!

My Mother is texting and phoning twice a day now and it's driving me MAD! Should have lied about the due date again like I did last time...

I'm so boring for this thread, is there nobody else due?! Such a let down for everyone. Come ON BABY!

JugglingLife · 11/02/2015 10:26

Calling all mummies at due date, come and entertain us with your woes. Tmi essential.

Zsazsabinks · 11/02/2015 14:26

How much TMI do you want? If lots.......

Just lost a massive chunk of mucous plug and it was so vile and slimey looking it made me gag. Normally I'm fine with any bodily secretions, especially my own. But that? Bleurgh! Pregnancy and childbirth is just so unglamorous it's not real! Still no contractions or anything though. Sad

dm86 · 11/02/2015 14:51

Me me can I join lol!

I was due yesterday and utterly fed up already! This is dc3 and my other two were both overdue so you would have thought I'd have learnt by now but I was still hoping this one would buck the trend lol!

How you doing Zsa zsa I've loved reading through the thread! When is your due date?

I'm sick of over analysis every twinge, emotion, bowel movements and secretions lol tmi! But nothing yet. Had twinges on and off for about three days and they come to nothing so giving up now!

Tried everything with my older so not bothering this time as it'll only come when it's ready! Can't even pester dh into dtd anyway as he's away this week. I might drag a stranger in off the street I'm that desperate lol Wink

Glad it's half term next week as sick of everyone asking why I'm still here. I wouldn't be if i had a choice lol! I wish I'd have lied about my due date now then I wouldn't have all these questions everyday!

Good luck zsa zsa hope your baba comes soon Smile

Zsazsabinks · 11/02/2015 18:09

And to you dm86! School run really is the worst, all the Mums who are so sympathetic but everyone waiting on some news! "yeah, still here, I'm still here and I'm STILL pregnant!"

Dragging in a stranger could be an interesting experiment, I'm sure DH wouldn't mind, this once would he? It's an emergency!

Just had a few tightenings, earlier than they have been in the past, about every 15mins for the past hour?? Still feel like they're going to peter out into nothing but...it's news no??

JugglingLife · 12/02/2015 06:37

Zsa, that was lovely information, practically sporn worthy. I never did that whole plug thing, god knows what happened to it. Hi DC, good to see you here. IMO your DH wouldn't mind in the least about a random stranger, pregnant brain and all that. Are you both prepared for a new babe and the kids being off at half term?
