Hi, wanted to start a new thread to be accountable. Plan to start with small changes and progress to calorie counting. Happy for anyone else to join. My first ever thread so hope I do this right.

@KAMi3240 , I think you have fallen off the wagon, you are not losing weight and starting to go up again. I know you posted here to keep yourself accountable so get started again, you are lovely to everyone that wants to join your thread.

Start to look after you. I need to lose 3 stone so love reading peoples progress, I hate posting but I think you need a wee jolt back into action.

Keep going, keep posting your weekly weight and take accountability. You can do it.

No weight loss last week 😞. I had one bit of a blow out, going out to lunch unexpectedly and I left the restaurant feeling stuffed but ate a normal dinner... then had a snack and cracked open a bottle of wine! Ugh. The next couple days I was eating pretty much at maintenance or just under, but I find one day of indulgence takes several days to correct the spike on the scale. So back on it hoping for a result this week.

mondaytosunday · 17/09/2023 15:11

Awww I feel people are losing momentum on this thread! Very small weight loss for me, ounces. I've been up and down in my eating but I'd still say under generally so disappointed I haven't lost more.
Anyone else want to post an update?

NeonHalo · 17/09/2023 18:24

Hi, my weight loss has totally plateaued despite being pretty good and sticking to 1700 calories a day. I’ve decided to ramp it up and go down to 1500 calories a day for a while to see if that pushes things in the right direction. When I plateau I lose momentum so I need to do something before I lose interest.

@mondaytosunday sorry it’s been a challenge your end too. I need to make a change to make things interesting!

GingerLiberalFeminist · 17/09/2023 19:09

I just checked and ive only lost 3lbs this month despite being oh so good with celery and protein shakes!

However I generally believe it's perserverance, just gotta stick to the plan and keep going!

Keep up the hard work everyone!

KAMi3240 · 18/09/2023 08:19

@JustbackfromHols thanks so much! I have had a crazy couple of weeks and will post my last couple of weigh one below! I had a crazy last week of summer hols and then everyone caught COVID! You're right it's definitely not been my priority to focus on my food and look after myself. One good thing I have done for myself is restart couch to 5k. Love the call out and I will weigh tomorrow morning as this morning I was rushing us out to catch a train.

It is frustrating! I showed a .5lb loss the other day - pathetic! And today we went out got lunch from the sushi bar at Sainsbury's then had pasta and garlic bread for dinner - whoa! I live with my 18 year old daughter and she just started treatment for MS and was feeling poorly (it's kind of like chemo you feel dreadful for a bit after the injection), and it's what she wanted after not being able to eat yesterday. But excuses! I didn't have to eat it too! Back on it tomorrow!

Lovehearts82 · 21/09/2023 15:20

Well haven't updated since the end of August, as you know i had covid for the 3rd time at the beginning of August and now ive got the usual post covid extra long period that has made me feel so yuck it's unreal. Of course that means I've snacked and put on another 3lbs which took me up to 16st 4lbs last week. Happy to say I've been keeping to MFP daily calorie target and I've lost 2lbs this week so...
LW 16st 4lbs
CW 16st 2lbs
GW 13st
Hope everyone is doing better than me 😀

PieFaceAndLovingIt · 21/09/2023 15:29

Hello! I'm also on the September Weight Loss thread, I needed to lose 7 stone (from May) 18 st 9lbs and started seriously on 1st September
1 Sep: 17 st 10
today: 16 st 13
TW: 11 st 7
I'm doing 16;8 intermittent fasting until 24 November, and have cut out all carb 😰
I also write my current weight and target weight on my arm, just in case I'm tempted to have a "day off" 🍰😜

GingerLiberalFeminist · 21/09/2023 18:30

My browser won't let me add a photo, but MFP told me I'd lost 41lbs today. I'm now 14.5st (was 17.5st, goal weight 11.5st).
In fairness though I only had a baby at Christmas so a lot of that will be natural baby weight shedding and less to do with my diet!
However I'm trying really damn hard, barely a carb passes my lips!

KAMi3240 · 21/09/2023 19:00

Ahh @mondaytosunday sometimes we need comfort food, just don't let it turn into all or nothing thinking

Well done everyone sticking with it. I am 6lb down from last time I checked in which was a while ago. Got my size 14 clothes from 10 years ago out of storage and determined to be wearing them by the end of the year!

KAMi3240 · 26/09/2023 07:40
