I am at my highest weight since being pregnant 10 years ago. I am 14 stone and 5ft 6.
I just couldn't stop eating/ bingeing and saw myself go above 12, 13 and now at 14 stone. All put on in a year - a stressful year.

I've resorted my fitbit, got the app and walked 5k yesterday and today with an aim to eat 1200 calories. But food is my mental comfort. Gah
I need new clothes now I'm too fat for everything I own.

This time I’m using an app that doesn’t have music, so I have my own playing in the background. The app just lowers the volume of the music when it needs to speak to me.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 07/01/2019 08:36

Hope you’re feeling better soon drspouse

MostlyHungryAgain · 07/01/2019 15:22

Get well soon drspouse x

ThrownMuse · 07/01/2019 20:32

Oh no, drspouse, sorry to hear you are under the weather - get well soon and hope your day was restful.

I also use the NHS podcast but no music - I like the peace and quiet!

I'll post more tomorrow, still working but at home tomorrow so a bit more relaxed.

MostlyHungryAgain · 08/01/2019 12:09

How are you feeling Drspouse?

How's your day going Thrown? Hope you are managing to stay away from the biscuit tin ;)

I have had a bit of a carb filled day but it is comfort eating - just feel like it today. hopefully tomorrow will be a bit better!

drspouse · 08/01/2019 12:23

Still feeling awful. Sofa day.

MostlyHungryAgain · 08/01/2019 13:27

oh no, is it flu?

Heinz tomato soup...?

drspouse · 08/01/2019 13:44

It's definitely flu-ish. I had my jab as I have asthma so I may have a mild dose.
Lentil and bacon actually!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 08/01/2019 18:54

There’s a couple of quite nasty bugs going around. Quite a few people at work have had it. Don’t know if it’s flu or not.

Hopefully if you’ve had the jab it’ll give you a bit of protection.

I’m definitely off the wagon today. Turns out not being rushed off my feet at work means a) I sit down more and b) I have easier access to the biscuit tin.

Was supposed to be going running. But not really feeling like it. Tomorrow is going to be better.

MostlyHungryAgain · 09/01/2019 01:23

73.9kg

hope you are feeling better today Drspouse.

I felt like that yesterday too Rafals, maybe there was something in the air.

I had the most delicious lunch yesterday which had beetroot homous in it, might try and make it at the weekend!

drspouse · 09/01/2019 17:01

Feeling quite a bit better today but not completely up to scratch. Need to get my cough under control and then going to try and get back up to 10k steps before trying running again.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 09/01/2019 20:15

I’d say it’s too cold to run, but really it’s just making excuses.

I am going to have to do it because I somehow agreed with my GP that I would run 3 times a week.

Glad you’re feeling a bit better drspouse. Beetroot hummus sounds lovely.

MostlyHungryAgain · 10/01/2019 02:15

74.1kg

:/

Too much beetroot hommous, or possibly chocolate biscuits!

Where is Thrown?!

ThrownMuse · 10/01/2019 08:30

I'm here, I'm here!!! Just been a busy few days on the work front! But I'm here!

Just dropping of DS to school and running, then will read through posts and catch up.

Sorry!!!!

ThrownMuse · 10/01/2019 12:58

Hello! Honestly, this week! All good but the busy-ness!

Most importantly - drspouse - how are you feeling? I hope you are ok, and are resting, not running, and taking it as slowly as you can?

Mostly - are you also ok, and what is this beetroot hummus of which you speak? I am a big beetroot fan, and I think I need this in my life (though probably can't be trusted with it!).

Rafals - did you get out and run? My mojo is also a little lacking on the food front, but I managed run 2 of week 8 this morning, and I'm feeling a bit stronger. Still the speed of a sloth, but as Michael Johnson (my C25K coach) assures me, it's stamina, not speed that matters.

I'll weigh in tomorrow (not expecting any loss, not after the spag bol I ate last night ffs), but it's a start...

ThrownMuse · 11/01/2019 08:18

Friday 11/01: 14.10, so a couple up since Christmas still, but not too bad.

My goal is 10 pounds in 5 weeks (Fri 15/02), if anyone wants to set a challenge, too? Am hoping the running will nudge it along, though of course it's mostly about the food.

Hope everyone is feeling ok today. I managed a very early swim at work this morn, and am now at my desk, thinking about my lunch...

MostlyHungryAgain · 11/01/2019 11:12

hello all!

Ok so I have decided my target is 1kg a week, and 1000-1200 cals a day. Enough messing around and eating rubbish now, hols are over and it's time to get serious. Blush

I'm starting on Sunday.

I'm going to try for 3 x 300 cal meals a day, and a couple of snacks.
Going for a bike ride today, it's lovely weather here, yay.

ThrownMuse · 11/01/2019 20:42

Sounds like a solid plan, Mostly.

How was your bike ride?

I am shattered, back to back meetings and teaching so shortly off to bed with a mint tea and a book - no wine tonight! Too tired to enjoy it (I really must be tired!).

drspouse · 11/01/2019 21:45

Still coughing.
May chance a weigh in tomorrow as I've not had much appetite.

ThrownMuse · 12/01/2019 07:06

Oh no drspouse, sorry to hear that. Take it easy and slow.

We're just having a quiet weekend, a walj down to the beach and a few things around the house.

What is everyone else up to?

MostlyHungryAgain · 16/01/2019 01:17

Hello all, sorry for silence. I have been very annoyed with myself as weight is going UP and I seem to have entered a self-destruct phase, just eating junk and more junk.

Saw a couple of people the other day that I hadn't seen for a few years and I could tell they were thinking that I had put on so much weight :(

I need to really think about sensible eating and how to get through the 10am doom zone at work, that's when I go overboard and eat/order food/etc. I know what I should eat but just don't do it. Gahhh.

I'm the heaviest I have ever been :(

Sorry for doom/gloom!
how is everyone else doing?

drspouse · 16/01/2019 09:11

Oh dear, not great here either. Total weight gain over Christmas 2lb but still ill (have been to GP, no chest infection) and can't walk/climb hills/run.
I'm trying to fill in MFP daily to get a handle on things.

drspouse · 16/01/2019 09:12

Bother. Just remembered I meant to bring snacks to work.

MostlyHungryAgain · 16/01/2019 14:01

we are probably all in the same boat, after christmas etc.

I've had an ok today but mostly because I didn't have time to eat until lunch time (!) and then had a nice salad. i've now made sweet potato patties for dinner with salad, so apart from a mini bounty bar it's been a good day!
