I am at my highest weight since being pregnant 10 years ago. I am 14 stone and 5ft 6.
I just couldn't stop eating/ bingeing and saw myself go above 12, 13 and now at 14 stone. All put on in a year - a stressful year.

I've resorted my fitbit, got the app and walked 5k yesterday and today with an aim to eat 1200 calories. But food is my mental comfort. Gah
I need new clothes now I'm too fat for everything I own.

Good work on the walking and cycling, drspouse.

Hope you had a good time away Rafals, and you're also ok Mostly.

Am full of cold but just need to push through one last day of writing then I'm on the home stretch.

Happy Tuesday everyone.

drspouse · 11/12/2018 10:39

Really busy day today but need to fit in odds and sods around meetings, lunch with a friend (I usually have a toastie!) and then DD's nativity - I did cycle but school is up a horrendous hill so I'll cycle home and dash out.

With not being well earlier in the autumn I didn't get into cycling much and my bum really ached after one return trip but I think I've got a harder bum (well, you know what I mean) as I'm fine after 3 single trips, this morning!

ThrownMuse · 14/12/2018 05:11

Amazing cycling drspouse!

How is everyone do8ng?

I have been the walking dead this week, floored by a cold, a bad back and a deadline. So not eating much (yay) but no running (boo). Will do Week 6 of c25k starting Sunday, so will get those runs in before family arrive for Christmas.

Not weighed yet as only me awake!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 14/12/2018 20:56

Back at work so 12k steps today. Got home too late for running. Need to get back on that tomorrow.

Not sure about weight. Think I only put on 0.5kg while away. And I’d guess another 0,5kg in cake since I got back. Did forget to have lunch today so it might balance out.

drspouse · 14/12/2018 21:26

12K steps today and have just about stayed under my count this week so I'll see if I've lost anything tomorrow.

MostlyHungryAgain · 15/12/2018 12:34

hello all!
sorry for the lack of clocking in. Had a crazy week last week! But this also resulted in grabbing of fast food etc, argh. I even to my shame had a mcdonalds!

Panic mode now! T minus 5 days.

today:

B: 2 x slices of toast/honey
L: greek salad
D: greek salad & vegetarian patty.

tomorrow it will be:

B- oatcakes/honey
L: sweet potato/kale salad
D: cottage pie

(I know I shouldn't have honey but I have decided life is not worth living without it!)

drspouse · 15/12/2018 13:09

There's no should or shouldn't.
1/2lb on but I'm counting it as staying the same, it's down on my previous high anyway.

ThrownMuse · 15/12/2018 16:58

Well done to those who are hanging on in here, just!

I stayed the same this week, so will just aim to be the same again on 20/12, my last weigh in, before having a week off.

Still run down but on the mend. Will try and run tomorrow. Weather is FILTHY, though!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 15/12/2018 18:01

It seems to have stopped raining at last and isn’t cold. Might chance a run but a reasonable chance of getting blown away.

drspouse · 15/12/2018 22:10

Oops just posted this on the wrong thread!
Managed my 10k steps, again I'm hoping for another week of proper logging and exercise and no gain and a week off sounds just right!

Did it. Week 5 run 2 completed. Last minute was a bit of a struggle but managed. Going to do it a couple more times then go for the 20 min run in the new year I think. Takes me to 15k steps for today.

Also 70.0kg this morning. Not sure that’s staying the same over Xmas.

drspouse · 17/12/2018 10:26

Didn't quite manage my 10K yesterday but I have to nip back to school later plus I'm going out to my Pilates class this evening so I'm fairly sure I'll make it today.

ThrownMuse · 17/12/2018 16:17

Congrats, Rafals, well done! Are you having a final weigh in day before Xmas?

I did Week 6/Run 1 this morn and found it tough as had last week off due to my cold.

Glad I went as weather lovely today.

You sound like you are doing well, Drspouse, with your steps. I've never done Pilates, is it enjoyable?

Submitted my draft chapter today, so I am now officially finished for Christmas!

drspouse · 17/12/2018 16:45

Pilates is great, it's very relaxing, and can be a little bit hard work (but not too bad) and is very good if you have a bad back or are stiff in any way.

ThrownMuse · 17/12/2018 17:06

I may take that up in the new year!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 17/12/2018 18:05

They do Pilates at work. I did think about doing it, but they’ve been running the group for a year now and I don’t know if I want to be the only beginner.

Might see what classes they start in the new year. There’s usually a c25k so might start doing it with them.

ThrownMuse · 17/12/2018 18:30

I swim and now the running, but may do a You Tube session on pilates first!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 17/12/2018 18:35

I’ve only tried swimming once since the asthma attack last year. It wasn’t a great success. Might try that again, hopefully will make it more than 3.5 lengths.

drspouse · 17/12/2018 22:00

I'd really go for a teacher for Pilates as it's important to get feedback if you are doing it right.

ThrownMuse · 18/12/2018 06:29

Rafals I think 3.5 lengths is good! Swimming is hard.

Good point drspouse. I'll have a look and see what's around.

Finished wrapping last night and I may have had a couple of large Bailey's. Ah well.

Seeing a friend this morning then last few stocking fillers and bits of housework...sounds stormy outside!

What are others up to?

drspouse · 19/12/2018 09:51

Well despite not losing much weight I seem to have lost a couple of inches - I ordered some new bras and I'm in the smaller band size again - so I'll send back the larger size and see if I can dig out the old ones I think I kept, too!
Cycled to work today but didn't manage my steps yesterday.

ThrownMuse · 20/12/2018 06:53

It happens like that sometimes with clothes! Well done on cycling!

I did run 2 of week 6 C25K yesterday and it was fine! From now on though all the runs are continuous, no walking breaks at all. Yikes! I'll do run 3 tomorrow then whatever I can over Christmas.

Anyway! Weigh in today is 14.6 stone, so total lost since end of Aug: 1 stone 7 pounds. Had aimed for 2 stone, but I'm not going to stress.

Going to have a week off now as my mum arrives today, then back on it on 27/12. Need to work out next milestones and dates, but 2 and half stone by end of April seems realistic.

So seasons greetings everyone, enjoy yourselves and see you all in a week!

drspouse · 20/12/2018 10:49

I have a very slight cold today so I'm going to stroll into town rather than do a DVD. However, I suspect doing 20 mins DVD at home over the holidays is going to be a bit, er, challenging so I think I might try the start of C25K instead (not really planning to run long term, just a bit of light running/walking to keep myself active).

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 20/12/2018 17:11

well done on the lost inches and the 1.5 stone.

Off work til after Christmas so had a nice relaxing day, other than weird calls from the GP surgery.

Might go for a run later. Not sure if I’ll do run 2 or 3. Will be the last run until after Christmas now. Not sure I’m dedicated enough to take my running stuff with me.
