I am at my highest weight since being pregnant 10 years ago. I am 14 stone and 5ft 6.
I just couldn't stop eating/ bingeing and saw myself go above 12, 13 and now at 14 stone. All put on in a year - a stressful year.

I've resorted my fitbit, got the app and walked 5k yesterday and today with an aim to eat 1200 calories. But food is my mental comfort. Gah
I need new clothes now I'm too fat for everything I own.

70.1 this morning, which will be the last weigh in before Christmas. Another 5kg will get me back into a normal bmi. I’d like to lose 10 really. So that’s the goal for next year sorted. That and being able to run far enough to do park run.

What’s everyone’s plans for today?

drspouse · 22/12/2018 10:54

Another 1lb off! So well set up for a week off, let's see how much I put on!

ThrownMuse · 23/12/2018 06:40

Nice one drspouse! It all helps! As you say, let's see what damage this week does!

Rafals, 10kg is a good round number, and I'm sure you can do that!

My mum is here now until 27th, so we're mostly pottering about. Took DS ice skating then cinema yesterday. I did week 6, run 3 first thing yesterday and felt really good! Slow, but good! I'll do Week 7 run 1 tomorrow.

Pouring down here so probably soft play morning...but we'll see....we normally swim but DS is quite sniffly and I don't want to risk an ear infection...

Everyone else Ok?

ThrownMuse · 26/12/2018 08:18

Happy boxing day everyone. Hope everyone is full of festive cheer still and well rested.

Last day of indulging for me, then back to it tomorrow. Family leave then which has always v sad, but it's also nice to have the house back.

What are people up to today? DS wants to go into town and spend his vouchers, and we could all use some fresh air!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 26/12/2018 11:03

I’ve got 3 new running tops, then my mum gave me a load of running gloves/socks/hats that she has spare. So I guess I’m keeping going with the running next year.

Big lunch with family and friends today, then flying home this evening.

ThrownMuse · 27/12/2018 06:33

Hope you had a good journey home Rafals. And you've got a good haul there!

Easing back into healthy eating today. We have so much unopened food, but it'll keep. Didn't even have an Christmas pudding!

My family head off today and DS has a play date, so looking forward to getting the house straight. Might go for a run later as want to start week 7.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 27/12/2018 13:21

71.3 this morning. Might get a chance to try out the running gloves tonight. It’s freezing outside.

ThrownMuse · 27/12/2018 15:48

Good luck if you go out if it's cold. Is 71.3 ok ish?

I failed to get back in the wagon today and had cheese for breakfast...

Fri has always been my weigh in day so no excuses, will step on the scales first thing, then run before DP goes to work. And back on MFP too!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 27/12/2018 17:49

It’s about a kg heavier than I was this time last week, but 2kg lighter than I was about a month ago. It’s not a disaster and I suspect most of those extra calories were consumed in alcohol.

Don’t fancy running tonight. Need to give myself a bit of a kick tomorrow.

ThrownMuse · 27/12/2018 17:59

Ah, ok...I always get confused with kgs!

I'll def be running tomorrow, so we can encourage each other if you like!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 27/12/2018 18:37

That sounds like a plan. Once I’ve started again I’m sure it’ll be fine. I just need to get going after 10days off.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 27/12/2018 20:26

So I kicked myself and it turns out I can run tonight. Grin. Did week 5 Run 2 again. Not quite brave enough to try Run 3 yet. Took the whole of the first 8 mins to get into it but the second wasn’t as bad as the last time I ran.

ThrownMuse · 28/12/2018 06:46

Well done Rafals. I'll do Week 7 day 1 later once DP back from work.

Weighed in at 14.12 today - eek! But with the running and 1300 cals a day I'm hoping to be nearer 14 by the end of Jan.

Need to sit with my diary today and work out my mini goals!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 28/12/2018 09:07

I’m thinking of doing 52 small steps next year. Although might start on Sunday rather than New Year’s Day.

In terms of weight goals, I think my first will be to get to 67kg.

ThrownMuse · 28/12/2018 09:30

I like the small steps approach! Do you mean weight loss as well as other things?

My first goal is to get to 14 stone by 8th Feb.

Long term goal is 12 stone by 1st June.

Fitness is to keep up the running 3 times a week and swim once a week.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 28/12/2018 09:50

Yeah it’s weight loss as well as other things. I think it’s 52 small steps to change your life or something similar. So it covers things like diet, exercise, sleep etc. One new change a week for a year.

I’m probably doing some of the exercise ones already. Sleep habits could definitely do with a rework.

ThrownMuse · 28/12/2018 10:36

Sorry about your sleep but hopefully you can improve things.

I'm sat at an indoor skate park with DS, not looking at the coffee, toast, chips...just a mint tea and banana for me!

Lunch will be a small quorn cottage pie and salad. Then jacket and beans for tea. Really need to keep away from the cheese mountain!

ThrownMuse · 29/12/2018 08:05

Morning anyone who is still here!

Just repeated week 6, run 3 and despite a week off, felt good. Now back on schedule for 3 runs next week, starting week 7.

Yesterday was a food failure of epic proportion. Cheese, crisps, a glass of port, Christmas pudding, all gobbled up...ah well. Today will be better!

What is everyone up to today? Not sure yet here...

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 29/12/2018 09:19

I need to brave the apple store to get my phone fixed. Then a run at some point.

I need to do Week 5 Run 3. I think the fear of doing it might be worse than actually just getting out and doing it.

I think yesterday still counts as Christmas, Thrown. So epic food failures are allowed.

drspouse · 29/12/2018 09:35

Still in Christmas mode but I told DH last light wanted to go and try running shoes this morning (apparently he wasn't listening but I'm trying to persuade him to take the DCs to the park while I do that)

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 29/12/2018 16:10

Any luck on the running shoes, drspouse?

drspouse · 29/12/2018 16:12

Yep! But all very wound up after a trip out this afternoon so I'll have to see if DH can spare me.

drspouse · 29/12/2018 18:09

Yesss! C25K run 1, now going to get a Chinese takeaway!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 29/12/2018 20:23

Week 5 run 2 attempted. Was more like a 12minute run and a 6 minute run with a 2 minute walk in between. But was closer than I thought I’d get.

Well done drspouse. How did you find it?

drspouse · 29/12/2018 21:11

Not bad, nice shoes, I've done C25K before but then did my back in.
