How did this happen. I am so, so ashamed of myself. I used to weigh in 13 stone, then overhauled my whole diet and got down to 9stone 8lb.

But I've put it all back on. And so much more. This is shameful and I cannot believe I have let it get this bad. I've even had to buy some size 20 tops. I have tried slimming world but that didn't really
Work for me. So I'm back to calorie counting. And 5:2. From today. I've got to stop making excuses. I am going on an amazing holiday in January with my 2 best friends and. CAN'T be the size I am now.

I am sick of feeling tired, uncomfortable and just plain shit because of what I eat. I've taken before photos (won't post them as they would scar you forever) and have stuck a photo of myself at my smallest when I still thought I looked fat on the fridge for inspiration. I can do this!!!

And apologies if I offended anyone with my post. It was intended to be self-deprecating not offensive!

khajiit13 · 05/09/2017 18:12

boos I thought it was funny!!

What's for dinner tonight everyone?

Whatshouldmyusernamebe · 05/09/2017 18:59

Chicken and gnocchi bake. Mm not sure what it will be Like!

TellysAndWellys · 05/09/2017 19:33

I had jacket potato and beans. Total of 1025 calories for today! Tomorrow won't be as good as I'm having the cake (I've decided life's too short to not have the cake) but will have soup for tea and skip dinner!

OP posts:
Whatshouldmyusernamebe · 05/09/2017 19:52

Was ok bit bland. Enjoy your cake!

khajiit13 · 06/09/2017 00:48

I've been easy on myself today. Same story tomorrow as I'm i off work but another 5:2 on Thursday

TellysAndWellys · 06/09/2017 06:21

Thanks username! Is it wrong that my first thought this morning was 'yessss I get to eat cake today'

Khajiit, are you finding it difficult? It took every ounce of my willpower not to go get something from the chippy last night. It's quite pathetic to feel the inner battle with myself over whether to get a bag of chips.

Boosiehs · 06/09/2017 07:57

Hey team! #shortiesonamission

I had roast chicken and jacket pot and veggie for tea, then an apple then I went to bed! At least I didn't eat anymore.

So far this morning I am at work (less temptation) and have had a glass of squash and an apricot. Fingers crossed for lunch for us all.

TellysAndWellys · 06/09/2017 08:11

Welcome to team shorties bungle!

I wish they would put all the junk food on the top shelves so I can't reach them. That would be really helpful for my diet! Although to be honest, I'd scale the Eiffel Tower for a slice of dominos pizza (extra cheese) right now!

I've got the day off for ds's first day back at school. Having a small sandwich for lunch. Usually have to have a bag of crisps with a sandwich but trying to cut this habit and will have some more Greek yoghurt after with a few blueberries.

Still looking forward to the cake this evening though. Then have got soup for after to try and limit the calorie damage then another 500 calorie day tomorrow. Still feeling positive but I just know I've got such a long way to go.

Your tea sounds really filling and heathy boosiehs! Just what you need to keep you full.

Does anyone else find that even though you're full/not hungry in the slightest, you still eat for the sake of it? Or because your mind is telling you you need it? That's a habit I'm really going to struggle to break Sad

T&W yep - eating for the sake of eating.

My worst habit is "treats". I deserve something sweet at the end of the day - chocolate/biscuits/cake etc.

Also food shopping. I just need to not buy junk in the first place!

lampert · 06/09/2017 08:45

telly eating for the sake of it is my problem too. Hunger doesn't even come into it. I crave big plates of carbs (ahhh would kill for a big pile of noodles / pasta / rice) but I have no self control and eat too much. The diet battle is very much with my mind and it my stomach.

I'm planning to just have dinner today again, salmon fillet, veg & cauliflower cheese. Looking forward to it already!!!!

Yes! That really disappeared, once, when I did a high protein diet. Nut butters, although you have to factor in the calories, I find are pretty filling. An oatcake with peanut butter and black pepper on actually feels like a mini meal! Other than that distraction, distraction, distraction.

TellysAndWellys · 06/09/2017 15:57

Can't tell you how big this slice was, the picture doesn't do it justice. It was like half a full cake. Only ate half though, couldn't finish it. It was beautiful. And worth being fat for

Omg telly!!!! That looks incredible! Not what I needed to see while I'm sipping my sparkling water and trying to ignore my rumbling tummy! 😂😂😂. I'm glad it was as good as you expected though. Did your DS enjoy his cake treat too?

TellysAndWellys · 06/09/2017 16:41

It was BEAUTIFUL. But now it's put me on the path of 'oh shall I just go grab some chips'.

Sorry to rub it in! Hope the rumbling tummy stops soon.

He went for a milkshake instead, he said he didn't like the look of the cakes. Strange child like his father

OP posts:
lampert · 06/09/2017 16:52

Ohhhh if only I were the kind of person who didn't think cakes looked appealing!

Steer clear of the chips!!!!

Salmon and stir fried veg again for me tonight. I am gonna have to be really really strong not to steal some of the delicious amazing can't stop thinking about them carbtastic noodles I will be making to go with DH's portion. Sigh.

TellysAndWellys · 07/09/2017 11:21

Had the chips last night :( my sister came round and we had a chippy tea. Only had a cone though. But feel so dissapointed in myself!

Back to work today, and I'm starving. Trying to resist the call of the vending machine :( I'm in one of those moods where I could eat a small child if someone dipped it in chocolate and put some sprinkles on. Need to stay strong.

How's everyone else? Did you manage to resist the noodles Iampert?

OP posts:
lampert · 07/09/2017 13:39

Hope the vending machine hasn't beaten you telly? They are such devil temptresses!

I did resist the noodles (except for the large forkful I stole before dishing up - just to check they tasted ok of course!).

I'm in the office again today and find it much harder to be good here. Sigh!!

DH and I are out for dinner and drinks tomorrow night so I will let loose a bit then which is helping me stay motivated today.

TellysAndWellys · 07/09/2017 16:23

Nope, I stayed away. I did get up twice to go to them and sat back down. I'm the office weirdo.
Just got home from work, jacket potato for tea (I eat a LOT of them).

Have fun tomorrow, it will be that bit more enjoyable because you've been so good all week. I'm away for a the weekend with a friend so will relax a bit as well, but just try not to buy the whole of m&s food section for the train journey!

OP posts:
lampert · 07/09/2017 17:01

Well done!!

DH is texting me trying to get me to meet him for a drink after work. I reeaaaaallly want to but I know if I have a drink my willpower will be shot and we will end up eating out. Then it'll be two nights in a row. :-/

But then the other part of me thinks aaaaaah we have just started TTC and so hopefully, if we are lucky, we won't be able to do that kinda thing so we should make the most of it while we can.
