Anyone just starting? I don't think I can do it alone!

Hi, I'm a fatty and can't stand the self conscious feeling anymore. I tried sw but it's not working for me so I've downloaded mfp.

I've got about 3 stone to lose and would love a chunk off by October. Though I know it will take longer to hit target...anyone else just starting? Or just need a bit of company along the way?

My weigh in is Monday too. I've been over my calories most days this week so I'm not expecting it to be good.

Dottydoodoo · 29/07/2017 22:22

I'm not expecting great things either. I did have soup for dinner and surprisingly I'm under my calories for today, but I feel fat. I don't think my twix and chocolate button binge in the week has helped, and yesterday I decided baking cupcakes was a great wet weather activity for my one year old.........

Oh well! I'm at work tomorrow so should be able to stay on track, whatever Monday's weigh in brings for us it is a new week!

Ollivander84 · 30/07/2017 11:32

Just a random suggestion but it sometimes is worth weighing every day in case it's a heavy day. More motivating for me

Take a week and a 200lb person
Day 1 weighs 200
Day 7 weighs 200

But swap to weighing every day
Day 1 200
Day 2 200
Day 3 199
Day 4 198
Day 5 198
Day 6 197
Day 7 200

Morello444 · 30/07/2017 22:38

Can I join in please? I'm 3 weeks in, on 1800 cals - was eating way over the 2k! so 1800 is a start! Not really eating 1800 most days though. Have lost 11lb so far, 40lbs to go Shock thats my first target anyway but I'm a yo yo dieter as i get massively bored of healthy food very quickly!

FluffedIt · 31/07/2017 07:59

I'm not sure how I managed it but I was expecting a huge gain and I got a 0.2 loss!

I will be doing it again in the morning as feel like it's not right, I've not been posting as I've been totally crap.

I'm toying with the idea of meal replacement shakes for a week or 2 as I'm nowhere near where I wanted to be and target date is looming big time!

Hi all can I join in too please?
Downloaded MFP a while back but have gotten out of the habit.
I found it really helpful to notice what I'm consuming.
Also have 3st to loose Confused

PastysPrincess · 31/07/2017 09:01

Another one here expecting a gain but I've lost 4.4lbs. I even checked it again at the wellness machine at work. This means I've hit 3st weight loss. Shame I've still got 5 more to go.

@Ollivander84 don't weigh yourself everyday. Your weight naturally fluctuates without it meaning you've gained or lost weight. You'll drive yourself nuts doing that.

Veterinari · 31/07/2017 22:15

Ugh! At 80kg despite a pretty good dieting week. I feel like I gain and lose the same 4kg over and over. My goal is 73kg - feels impossible!

Dottydoodoo · 31/07/2017 22:42

I have been so bad today 😩 work was completely hideous and it was too busy to go for lunch, so I ate loads of biscuits instead. I feel so fat now! Tomorrow is definitely a new day and I'm going to really try and be good again from tomorrow. I can do this!

Have lost 0.3 of a kg this week, I think it's just under 3/4 of a ib. I'm surprised actually, I didn't expect to lose anything after the kfc and twix disaster. I'm 13 stone 1 ib and I'm so desperate to get into the 12's!

Dottydoodoo · 31/07/2017 22:47

PastysPrincess I've just noticed that you have lost 3 stone in total. That is amazing, well done!

I've just looked on mfp and I've actually lost 9.3 ibs since I started this just over a month ago, so I'm actually not doing as bad as I thought I was. Definitely no more biscuit binging for me, we can do this Grin!

FluffedIt · 01/08/2017 10:48

So I've just weighed myself to check yesterday's was right..and it's even less!! Wooo!!

I normally do SW and 52 but I'm on an awkward residential week which is catered, so mfp and cal counting instead.Calories so far:
Sunday - 766
Monday - 739
My aim is 1000-1200 but my appetite has been weird

caremummy · 01/08/2017 11:16

I'm 159.5 lbs and aiming to lose another 29/30lbs bc I'm short and fat

Ollivander84 · 02/08/2017 13:05

Hit below the weight I've always got stuck at (15st 5)
Now 15st 4 down from 16st 10. Next goal is under 15

PastysPrincess · 02/08/2017 14:19

That's brilliant @Ollivander84 well done!

gttia · 03/08/2017 15:01

Hi everyone, I'm still here reading. Not really lost any weight but with gym work outs and cutting cola out my wedding dress not only now does up but I can move my arms! So I'm making some progress.
I too considered using shakes for two weeks but I'm worried I'll put it all back on holiday in three weeks, do I think I'll stick to what I'm doing and use shakes the month of the wedding if I'm struggling. I'm motivated though which is good.

Well done to all who have lost!

PastysPrincess · 03/08/2017 22:09

It's great about your wedding dress

FluffedIt · 04/08/2017 00:28

I had to buy a new dress the week before my wedding BlushBlushConfusedGrinGrin(only funny now!) I could get it done up but I couldn't sit down!

Well done on everyone's losses and staying on track, I'm doing well on the shakes, having 1 binge day a week so if I'm struggling I can count down the days til I can have what I'm after and it seems to stop that deprived feeling

Hi everyone,
Can I join you? I have 15kg to lose post baby no 1 and no2 and would love to have made a good start before going back to work after mat leave. I've downloaded MFP and will start tracking. Has anyone downloaded the paid version and is it worth it? Thanks!

Dottydoodoo · 05/08/2017 05:45

Are shakes milky?! I'm tempted to try them but I really don't like milk!

I did loads of walking yesterday and this morning my legs are super achey. I'm at work today so goodness knows what that will bring for me being good, it will either go really well or horribly wrong!

crazyhorses3 · 05/08/2017 06:13

Can I join too? I need to lose 3 stones It is making me incredibly miserable I actually don't eat the wrong things, just seem to pile on weight . I will download MFP again, but I am not sure about fitbits etc, not sure how they work? I tried weight loss resources a few months ago and stuck to it for a few weeks and lost some weight, but it was targeting me for a one and a half pound loss a week which is not enough to motivate me. i need to lose at least 2 pounds a week for it to be enough of an incentive.

FluffedIt · 05/08/2017 10:52

Welcome mimosa and crazy horse, feel free to add me on mfp I'm FluffedIt on there too Smile

You can get the shakes you can add water too instead of milk-they are probably all as bad as each other unless you pay through the nose! I'm pretty sure the Asda one is either milk or water but they may have changed it since I last looked..I'm using the Tesco ultra slim ones ATM

3lbs off 🍋🍊🍐🍓 plan this week is 1200 cal a day combined with slimming world. Possibly two 600ish days. Today has been slightly over but a really good week should make it up. Aiming for another 3 lb 💥

Dottydoodoo · 06/08/2017 20:18

caremummy well done! Fingers crossed for another good week Smile

Thank you Fluffedit, after thinking about it I don't think shakes are for me, I think I would struggle to get them down!

Tomorrow is weigh in day for me, eeek! I feel as if I've done well this week so I'm keeping everything crossed!

PastysPrincess · 07/08/2017 07:37

I've gained 2 1/2 lbs this week. It's not a surprise I just need to get back on track now.
