Anyone just starting? I don't think I can do it alone!

Hi, I'm a fatty and can't stand the self conscious feeling anymore. I tried sw but it's not working for me so I've downloaded mfp.

I've got about 3 stone to lose and would love a chunk off by October. Though I know it will take longer to hit target...anyone else just starting? Or just need a bit of company along the way?

I did manage 15k steps though!

DS is tired today, and it's been a very testing day! I really want to get under the duvet and stuff my face with chocolate and crisps when he has gone to bed. I won't, because I don't have any!! I might have a milky way though.......

fluffed it certainly is, I looked like a tomato by the time I had finished yesterday! I didn't do day 2 today, after running around after DS all morning and keeping him happy I just couldn't face it! Wow well done with 15k steps, that's loads!

sweetbitter · 14/07/2017 19:24

Nice bubble bath dotty? That did wonders for me as a substitute for a stuffing-my-face-under-the-duvet session the other day!

FluffedIt · 14/07/2017 19:35

Crap I fell off and ate a chicken burger with cheese and a magnum... now I just want to crack open the wine and make a night of it! Lol x

I have been stuffing my face all day. I'm hoping to be back on track Monday bit I think something hormonal is going on and I'm so tired I havent the will power to fight it.

FluffedIt · 15/07/2017 05:57

What's causing the tiredness? It certainly makes a difference when you are knackered to what you crave x

It's my DS- he has never slept well since he was born. He is much better now but I've never had chance to recover from the sleep deprivation. I can just about cope with his usually routine now but lately he has been getting up really early. I just crave sugar but to be honest I'll eat whatever is in front of me.

FluffedIt · 15/07/2017 06:42

It sucks doesn't it! We've been up since 4.30! She's just fallen back asleep but I can never fall back to sleep once I've woken up enough to feed her and sort her out. Drives me bonkers!

I also need to lose 3 stone and have just stumbled onto your thread, I haven't RTFT yet but what is MFP?

PastysPrincess · 15/07/2017 07:00

Hi Lizard MFP is MyFitnessPal. It's an app a lot of us use to track our food and exercise.

mrszebrastripe · 15/07/2017 07:13

Hi everyone, I have a stone, ideally two to lose and would love to join you. I will download MFP ~again~ although I tend to try it for a day or so and then stop! Last night was the last straw when I felt my tummy hanging over my jeans!

Lizard202 · 15/07/2017 10:03

Ok downloaded it, my username is lizard20202 if anyone wants to link with me. Not sure my two cream scones was the healthiest breakfast ever 😩 so diet starts now!!!

Dottydoodoo · 15/07/2017 22:07

Hi Lizard and mrszebrastripe!

Today has been a really bad day 😩
I had a terrible nights sleep last night and have been so tired today that I just wanted to stuff my face with anything and everything, so I did Blush! Gave up logging it on mfp as it was just getting silly (6 cheese straws anyone!!)

Hey ho. Tomorrow is a nice new day. I am weighing myself on Monday after starting this three weeks ago, so tomorrow has just got to be good!

Lizard202 · 16/07/2017 07:11

Dottydoodoo we have all had days like that, I hope you had a better night's sleep last night and today will be better 😘

Veterinari · 16/07/2017 07:38

Hi all
I've sent a few of you friend requests on mfp - feel free to add me - username is Veterinari.

I've been losing and regaining the same 3kg for 6 months now Hmm Wine and carbs are my downfall.

Ideally need to lose 10kg... could def use some moral support

Veterinari · 16/07/2017 14:24

Well, over my calorie goal already and don't feel as if I've eaten much Sad
Nice to see you all on mfp. Determined to crack this!

PastysPrincess · 16/07/2017 14:46

DH and i have totally lost the plot today. He went to get a subway cos we bad nothing in healthy to eat and came back with 12 cookies cos they were on offer. No one forced me to eat three already though.

Lizard202 · 16/07/2017 15:45

What's everyone's go to healthy snack? I always find myself at the crisps/sweets 🙄

Dottydoodoo · 16/07/2017 20:06

Hello veterinari!

Pastys I absolutely love the cookies from subway, they are amazing! Oh well, tomorrow is a new day!

Lizard thank you I had a much better sleep last night, and I have been back on track today. I've got 200 calories left so I'm going to have a fudge bar in a bit and eat it really slowly!!

I'm trying not to snack if I can help it as I find if I have something it sets me off and then I can't seem to stop! I do like snack a jacks though, and 100g of red grapes is 69 calories and I find them quite filling. Also sugar free jelly is a good one, I can't get enough of that at the moment!

Lizard202 · 16/07/2017 20:09

Glad you had a better night x Ooh I love jelly! My problem is I get to the evening and crave sweets/chocolate 😩 I will crack this!!!

PastysPrincess · 16/07/2017 20:53

@Dottydoodoo tomorrow is a new day. But it's also weigh in day. Eek.

PastysPrincess · 17/07/2017 06:45

Gained 3.8 lbs. I'm hoping some might be hormonal but it's a new week so going back on track.

Dottydoodoo · 17/07/2017 21:13

Wow, 4 ibs off! I started three weeks ago, but there was a weeks holiday in the middle of that where ice cream was consumed daily!

PastysPrincess hormones have a lot to answer for!

I've been at work today and there were quite a few goodies lying around. I had two quality street and half a blue riband bar but it's a lot of calories when all added up for really not much food, it's made me realise just how much I would mindlessly pick at things.

sweetbitter · 17/07/2017 22:23

Treats brought into work are an absolute killer! The place where people put the stuff they bring in is RIGHT in front of my desk, I can literally smell them...cakes, chocolates... you're right though, stuff like that is a ridiculous amount of calories usually for something that takes two seconds to eat and just leaves you wanting more. Best thing is not to have any at all. Yet...so hard to resist, especially when it's homemade cake. I've been lucky recently people haven't been bringing much in so my willpower hasn't been too tested.

Congrats on the surprise 4lbs off!

Dottydoodoo · 19/07/2017 16:57

For some unknown reason I bought an enormous bag of giant chocolate buttons yesterday, and now I keep on picking at them! Argh, help!!
