Hi, I'm a fatty and can't stand the self conscious feeling anymore. I tried sw but it's not working for me so I've downloaded mfp.

I've got about 3 stone to lose and would love a chunk off by October. Though I know it will take longer to hit target...anyone else just starting? Or just need a bit of company along the way?

I've been feeling really good since I hit my 2 stone weightloss... until I caught sight of double chin in a silly video I made. Sad Still got so much to lose...sigh

FluffedIt · 04/06/2017 09:37

Right everyone, time for a kick up the butt!

I am back on it (tomorrowGrin) and will be taking no prisoners, no more excuses and self sabotage. I'm back to work after mat leave and too close to my target date to have any more days off. I'm going to have a look at the 30 day exercise challenges and go for a beginnery one. Anyone else game?

NightWanderer · 04/06/2017 10:50

Yes! I've been putting too much stuff off in general. Exercise plus MFP every day, no excuses!

Just made a huge pot of veg soup that will do for lunch next week. Bring it on!

gttia · 04/06/2017 10:52

I'm in, went to a wedding yesterday and it made me realise how close my own is and how I do not want to get married at this weight!!

Lollyb86 · 04/06/2017 10:59

Late to the thread but I've got around 3st to lose I guess to get to a better weight for my height but im.not a fan of BMIs.Grin I run a few times a week and am training for a half marathon so it's not the exercise that the problem for me. I think I just eat too much so this last week I've cut my portion sizes down and stopped any snacking or biscuits with tea etc. I'm 4.5lb down already. Feeling motivated to keep it up now 😁

FluffedIt · 04/06/2017 11:05

That's great lolly!

I had to buy a off the rack dress the week before my wedding as I stress ate and I couldn't breathe in my beautiful dress!! that's something I was never going to tell anyone! Lol so don't do it @gttia put down the cookies! 😂😂

NightWanderer · 07/06/2017 11:05

Doing much better this week. Hoping for a better weigh-in on Friday.

PastysPrincess · 07/06/2017 16:34

Are we supposed to be weighing in on Fridays or does it not matter?

gttia · 07/06/2017 19:49

I weighed in today at a loss of 4lbs according to the body scanner at the gym, mfp says lower when I input it but it's still a loss!!

, It's 10lbs loss since I tried my wedding dress on and it didn't do up, shall I try again??

PastysPrincess · 07/06/2017 20:47

How close are you to your goal weight?

gttia · 07/06/2017 21:07

I'm a stone off yet at least really.

Tried it on, it does up!! Albeit tightly but that's a huge improvement on four months ago when the zip didn't meet lol

PastysPrincess · 07/06/2017 22:52

Ooh yay. That's brilliant. As long as it does up thats the main thing (sorry I couldn't resist the picture)

Anyone just starting? I don't think I can do it alone!
gttia · 07/06/2017 23:19

That picture is so funny!! That's what it currently looks like Grin

Lollyb86 · 09/06/2017 13:08

I'm 4kg down since about 10 days ago. Very happy with that 😁

PastysPrincess · 11/06/2017 10:21

Well done @Lollyb86 that's really good progress.

I'm really struggling today as DS was up at 04:30 and I'm knackered. Just want to eat everything in sight. I've been really good this week and my weigh in is tomorrow so don't want to waste this weeks efforts.

MollyHopps · 11/06/2017 12:22

I'm a touch late to the party but may I come in?

I've put on a stone over the last 3 or so months due to sitting around and snacking whilst on sick leave. I am now back working full time and ready to lose it all again. I am bridesmaid in 2 weeks and need to lose a couple of pounds to fit back in the dress Blush although it's not stupidly tight thankfully.

As of tomorrow - no carbs, no choccies and cakes, and lots of salads and water. And 10-15 mins in the exercise bike in the evenings.

persianpeach · 11/06/2017 23:07

I'm late joining too but do you have room for a little one? I have 3 stone to lose. I have subscribed to Nutracheck and will be on 15,000 calories a day.
Tomorrow will be day one eek! 😬

FluffedIt · 13/06/2017 21:25

There's no time limit to join, feel free!!

How is everyone getting on? I'm hoping to lose 2lb a week from now til October...I've just eaten half a pack of Jaffa cakes!

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 14/06/2017 19:10

I'm doing well this week as I've been under my target all week. I've got a work conference tomorrow which is fully catered so I'm going to struggle tomorrow with biscuits being readily available.

FluffedIt · 15/06/2017 06:25

I don't know how to stop stress eating...

MardAsSnails · 15/06/2017 07:21

I'm here

I decided to put battteries in my scales yesterday. I hadn't weighed myself since April 2015. I knew I'd put weight on, I knew it was a bit, but I hadn't realised it was over 8kg

At one point using MFP I got to 79.9kg. Last weigh in was 93.7kg (April 15). Yesterday was........ 101.9kg.

I'm mortified

So, yesterday, I logged back in to MFP.

As it's Ramadan and no eating or drinking in the office is alllowed, it's easier as I can't snack.

Yesterday was a 1180 calorie day. That included a massive fillet steak salad for tea as we had got the steak out of the freezer the night before.

My issue is I've developed a fish allergy since last one I lost weight calorie counting. I used to only react to shellfish, but now oily fish are causing me to have an anaphylactic reaction. As it's escalating, although white fish is only causing minimal reaction, my allergy guy has recommended no fish at all.

My downfall is cheese. And portion size. But I know this and will adjust accordingly. No more blocks of cheese - just sliced cheese so that there is a set calorie amount in each slice. Better than grating and trying to weigh, then adding a bit more.

I'd like 6kg in 6 weeks. I can easily do that, starting from so high. If I stick to it, I can do it.

My aim is 1200 on non exercising days. 1500 on exercise days. Min 3 days a week exercising. More is possible, but definitely 3. I can't definitely do daily.

As for portion size for me, involves huge packaging waste but the only way I can do it is using single serve things, like the Stoats instant oats. More expensive, more packaging, but 199 cals per pot and I can't just add an extra spoonful of oats and 'forget' to log.

I know I can do this. I've done it before and lost 12kg. I just need to get my arse in gear.

Howlongtillbedtime · 15/06/2017 07:30

Morning all . Can I jump in ?

I have 2 stone (at least) to lose and started cal counting and mfp logging yesterday (again)

I have upped my excercise over the last few months but now I need to really sort out my good intake.
I eat when happy to celebrate
I eat when sad to cheer myself up
I eat when pissed off
I eat when bored

You get the picture Grin

gttia · 15/06/2017 08:10

I've not lost anything this week, I think I may actually be eating too little as I've been skipping lunch, well having a bag of crisps some days.

So I may have a fruit lunch today and I was listening in at the gym water water water he was telling her. So I'll up my water!

A1Sharon · 15/06/2017 23:23

Haven't been on here for a week or more, but so happy as today I hit my stone off! Yay.
That was my original goal, and I've hit it early as my holiday isn't for another two weeks. So hoping to lose another couple of pounds before then.
Just tried on my fav pair of trousers and they fit me again!Grin
