Anyone just starting? I don't think I can do it alone!

Hi, I'm a fatty and can't stand the self conscious feeling anymore. I tried sw but it's not working for me so I've downloaded mfp.

I've got about 3 stone to lose and would love a chunk off by October. Though I know it will take longer to hit target...anyone else just starting? Or just need a bit of company along the way?

Getting on well here, never had two mins to myself though so no exercise. Kids off tomorrow and Monday too, so may not be able to exercise everyday but will do my best!

NightWanderer · 26/05/2017 07:30

Friday morning weigh-in was good

Start weight 97.0kg, last week was 95.0kg and this morning 94.2kg, so really pleased with that. I was not so good today/ I was busy so grabbed a cheese roll for lunch, then had a bar of chocolate, then an iced bun Blush I did resist the cinnamon rolls at the bakery though and I had such an excellent breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast, yoghurt and salad. Yes, salad for breakfast! Halo

I do feel slimmer, even though it might all be in my mind. Last week a little girl told me that I had a big tummy and asked if I was having a baby. I told her no I just have a big tummy. Grin

Good luck for the weekend folks!

mrszebrastripe · 26/05/2017 08:30

Can I join? I need to loose a stone and a half. I keep self sabotaging and starting again. Peri-menopausal so every bloomin pound off seems to take twice as long!

FluffedIt · 26/05/2017 09:34

Course you can join!

I'm weighing everyday atm, not going to put much stock in if if it goes up as it's bound to but but it's helping me to stay on track.

Thank you! Perhaps daily weigh ins will help me stay on track. I'm going to take measurements too!

FluffedIt · 26/05/2017 13:28

I don't think it's recommend as your body fluctuates naturally and then people find it disheartening, you can also get a bit obsessed too! So bear those in mind and see where it takes you.. I might be brace and measure myself too!

Daily weigh in is a sure fire way for me to give in, it just seems so slow/no loss/stagnant...I'll just get fed up.

NightWanderer · 26/05/2017 23:31

I usually hop on the scales most mornings but only "officially" weigh in on Fridays. It keeps me focused.

FluffedIt · 27/05/2017 11:10

Well my nn is correct coz I ended up with KFC for dinner last night! And now I just want to scoff cake and go for a fry up!

DragonNoodleCake · 27/05/2017 14:44

I need a kicking - I've not counted in days.

DH was a grumpy fucker last night and I ate a whole bag of microwave popcorn and half a bottle of wine 🍷

FluffedIt · 28/05/2017 07:44

I didn't think the non toffy popcorn was that bad?

FluffedIt · 29/05/2017 17:52

Slight gain, boo! Mat leave finishes this week so at least from next week I'll be walking everyday and not at home to eat!!

PastysPrincess · 29/05/2017 21:37

I forgot to weigh myself today. Oops. Oh well. DH is trying to be healthy now too but seems to have bizzare ideas about what is healthy and what isnt. He has a real hang up about bread being bad for you but decided to replace our DS breakfast of toast with a little jam with Cherrios???? Which have a shit ton of sugar in them??? He has swapped bread for jacobs crisp bread which are twice as colorific and 17% fat!! He is very sensitive about his choices too.

gttia · 30/05/2017 14:08

I've gained too and am very despondent. Four months to my wedding and I'm heavier than before.

Been looking up no sugar diets as I am literally addicted. I know it will be hard at first but I wander if that's the way for me?

PastysPrincess · 30/05/2017 14:39

I lost 6lb this week but Aunty Flo visited me 11 days early last week so I don't think it's true weightloss.

A1Sharon · 31/05/2017 06:40

The scales never lie PastysPrincess, well done!

BlondeB83 · 31/05/2017 09:12

Day 1 is today for me! I have become such a fatty!! I've never been slim but I was happy at around 10.5 stone. Since being with my DP I have gained around 4 stone!! Confused Just done 40 mins on the treadmill and diet starts today! I have my inlaws visiting in 8 weeks and I know she will comment if I haven't lost any!

gttia · 31/05/2017 09:32

I'm going to get motivated again today...

A1Sharon · 31/05/2017 17:07

I'm still plodding along here, had a bumpy weekend, but life is for living and don't beat myself up over it.
I really need a poo though (TMI, sorry Grin)! Need to drink much, much more. Better do it before Friday!!Blush

sunshinel · 31/05/2017 19:08

Is it ok to join too? I managed to lose 2 and a half stone last year after having my DS and put 1 and a half stone back on!! I'm doing MFP at 1200 calories and it was going well for the last 2 and a half weeks. However today I got home from work and scoffed half a pack of biscuits after having my low calorie ready meal! I just feel starving today. Will try again tomorrow. I lost 5 lb in the first 2 weeks which I'm really pleased about but don't want to mess it up now, will be good to be on this thread to keep me motivated Smile

NightWanderer · 31/05/2017 21:59

I had an awful weekend as it was a family BBQ. Then an awful Monday as someone gave me chocolates and then there was the Daim bars yesterday. Just drawing a line under it and starting over today.

gttia · 31/05/2017 23:25

I managed to stay under calories today!
Lots of stress at work, tmrw they are providing lunch so I need to be careful.

NightWanderer · 01/06/2017 23:00

I gained this week

Went from 94.2kg to 94.8kg. It could be worse though. Better try harder next week. Will try and get under 94kg next week.

FluffedIt · 02/06/2017 03:46

I'm being good with my steps..not so good with my food..

I can't even be bothered though, im back to work on Monday so I'm giving up until then. I'm too tired, I need energy!

OP posts:
BlondeB83 · 03/06/2017 08:12

I'm doing ok, aiming for 5k daily on treadmill and so far keeping it up. Not getting weighed though as I know it will depress me!
