I know there's a petition up for people to sign if they don't agree with the new Equality Bill being proposed, but if you'd like to do something more physical then watch this space!

We're hoping to do this on the 21st July, to coincide with the recess of Parliament for the summer break. We're also going to be organising regional events this time, as I know that a lot of people would have liked to be involved but couldn't get to London!

More news as I soon as I know what we're doing - but your support will be invaluable.

Solo, hope you have a better today tomorrow and you can come - if not, wish us sunny weather!

solo · 20/07/2008 13:22

Thank you! I wish you sunny weather - whether I'm there or not.

Morgan - I was just going to come and post a link to that.

May I say how lovely the models' hair is, and how delightfully cute that toddler is?!

Well, the weather's looking promising and the Standard have phoned me again (at 7am ffs!!) so i'm hopeful that we'll have a bit of press coverage. Just about to phone the BBC London news desk and confirm they got my press release on Friday!

UD, I just had my interview with bbc radio oxford, the presenter is so onside he's great! Keeps saying how inoffensive some one breastfeeding is and just said your choice is to not look or not go out

There is going to be a phone-in in about 20minutes you can listen online www.bbc.co.uk/oxford/news/

The whole thing will be available for listen again once they put the breakfast show up, it was at 7:30am, so half an hour in to the show.

DP said it was good and thinks I managed to sound reasonable rather than a loony lactivist.

The presenter asked me to play 'Devil's advocate' and asked if I could understand how a couple would feel if it was early evening in a restaurant and a family came in with three children, being noisy, playing around, breastfeeding etc'

I said that if it wasn't a family restaurant and was inappropriate for children to be there then I wouldn't take my children anyway and that I'd be more concerned about making my other children sit down and not disturb the other diners than stopping feeding my hungry child

theSuburbanDryad · 21/07/2008 08:52

Just listening to the phone in now!!

VictorianSqualor · 21/07/2008 10:05

solo, I think you have to wait until the programme is finished, but it's www.bbc.co.uk/oxford/news/ on listen again, probably in a few hours.

solo · 21/07/2008 10:20

thanks VS!

TinkerBellesMum · 21/07/2008 18:31

Ow Ow Ow, I can't believe we were worried about the weather!

How did everyone's picnics go?

Haylstones · 21/07/2008 19:46

I came to Birmingham and couldn't find anyone
I'm pretty sure I found the right place but walked around a few times and couldn't find anything that looked like any of you so we just sat on our blanket, ate our picnic, let dd run about blowing bubbles and I fed ds in solitude
Had a fab day out anyway. Glad all the picnics went well
