FluffyCharlotteCorday · 26/08/2006 17:13

I think you will have to define rabid before I can respond articulately!

Spidermama · 26/08/2006 17:14

Oh Pruni. Who's rattled your cage?
Don't pick fights.

misdee · 26/08/2006 17:14

foundintranslation · 26/08/2006 17:20

Hi Pruni

What makes me pretty passionate about bf is the bloody struggle I had to establish it and the (more or less) sabotage of it I had to deal with from the health professionals.

Wouldn't say I was rabid though

moondog · 26/08/2006 17:21

Er..why are so may of you {of whatever leaning} blind to the facts around and consequences of feeding babies weird processed stuff??

iota · 26/08/2006 17:22

so Pruni seriously thinks breastfeeders are suffering from hydrophobia ?

ScummyMummy · 26/08/2006 17:22

Are the majority of pro breastdfeeders rabid, pruni? Have you done a reliable rabidness check? I'm serious- i think that we maybe just notice rabid posts we disagree with more than the majority of more balanced ones we either agree with or don't care about one way or other. Then we conclude that the rabidity we disagree with is widespread and entrenched. I honestly thought, having watched and read every single answering post on 4 websites as they appeared, that my internet research on social workers would come back overwhelmingly negative. I would honestly have put money on the negative views being more numerous than any other. But in fact by far the majority of views were neutral. I thought about it and I can only conclude that it was just that the negative answers hit me in the stomach more because it's a subject i care about- I really really don't want to be a shit social worker- and made me fail to notice the positive and neutral messages even as I read them.
