I'll start by stating I couldn't give two shits about two people I don't know.

However, I am finding so much humour in the 'non racist' vitriol from people that don't know them, and who seemingly don't care, yet can't get them out of their mouths!

I can't wait for this Oprah interview (that I might not even bother to watch) because I'll find the obsessive thread after thread on this absolutely hilarious.

To start us who have had a lifetime of this shit off, I thought I'd add to the frothing with this gem!

Being sheltered does not just mean one thing. It can be plethora of arreas.

Yes, but if we're going to extend its meaning like that then each and every one of us is sheltered from something. So it becomes meaningless.

100% I started a new job not long ago. And for the first time in my life, worked with majority non- white team that weren't black. I was in position where I could hear conversations happening around me that did not involve black or white people. In that moment I felt sheltered. The politics was different and yes I learnt a thing or two and it was really interesting.. and now when I am looking for information, I will put in that extra effort I thought I had, but actually didn't. I tried to change my algorithm on different social media platform inorder to widen my view. So yes, we can all make the effort. Before that, I thought I was inclusive.

To conclude, the moment you learn or experience something new, it unshelters you in that area.

Can’t believe Piers Morgan said on live TV “I’m sure many mixed race couples have a chat about what colour their child is going to be”. I don’t find the comment offensive, just absolutely ridiculous - hilariously stupid and ignorant. But it perfectly summarised that he’s usually full of shit and you’d get as much wisdom off any random down the pub. I actually quite liked that that woman he was interviewing wouldn’t shut up, gave him a good taste if his own medicine and he looked pretty rattled.

I'm old enough to remember Fergie when they got married. it was what she was known by - probably coined by the press originally but it's what people called her.

I do this too, to look outside my bubble, think everyone should follow people they don't really see in RL, to see other ways of lives etc - may lead to more understanding

I didn't realise how badly racist this country still was. It's sickening and shameful. I quite liked having a monarchy until this. Now, I want rid of the whole damn lot of them!

Journalists/ serious presenters are so fed up talking about racism and being racially attacked they have clearly refused interviews.

I'm part of a mixed race couple and we definitely did discuss this. Same as hair type, nose shape & eye colour. Same with my first child who is not mixed race. We also discussed which elements of our family members personalities might come through and which accent they may adopt.

Why are other threads being deleted on this?

I was not a fan of H&M before this but I get the sense there is truth behind some of these claims.

This is unfair on Gina. She has been explain to the American from the begining what the press means when they are being racist. Lots of videos of her on talk shows. It is not just now that they invited her out..it does not take long to google simple facts. She has been fighting our corner on almost every America TV show she has appear in when being interviewed. Americans didn't understand the meghan hate.

If you really are part of a mixed race family you should know the difference between 'concerns were raised' about the colour of the baby's skin and innocently trying to imagine what your baby will look like.
