Oh Wow!!! Sassy your little ones are gorgeous! Congratulations! What a beautiful photo with them sleeping face to face!!

I echo skye saying thanks for reminding us what this is all for. I have now moved from excitement of meeting my little man to extreme impatience of I want him out now!!

I know I still have 2 weeks til the due date and I have said throughout the pregnancy that I wanted to hang on for a september baby but jeez I really want to get off this pregnancy merry-go-round now. I sighed last night and DH (who has been an absolute saint in every way and I don't deserve him!) made the unwitting mistake of asking what's wrong - I lost it & launched into a vitriolic ranting list of all the aches, pains, ails and swellings I'm feeling, which seemed to go on for ages and then ended in floods of tears with "I just want 1 nights sleep!!" Poor DH just sat there Shock not quite knowing what to do bless him.

I know it's 'not long now' (next person who says that to me btw get's a poke in the eye Smile) but these last weeks seem to be going on f-o-r-e-v-e-r...

Sorry, moan over.

38 weeks

mellymooks · 18/08/2010 19:42

Boo I am with you totally - it does seem forever but I know from last time that as soon as my LO is born I will miss my bump and feel like it all went in a flash, time is a very odd thing indeed!!

ooosabeauta · 18/08/2010 20:04

Sassy those babies are so beautiful! I bet that's a photo you'll be looking at forever. So amazing. Grin

My pleasure Mammy - hope the bag packing's gone ok. Hope I didn't miss anything important. Think some people take a water spray. Swordfish, you're right, I wasn't specific enough about quality of snack! I've got grissini in my bag at the moment, but maybe should head down to Sainsbury's to make it something more exciting. I remember them only begrudgingly letting me have a glucose tablet towards the end of last labour and I was ravenous!!

Chathappy I'm sorry things are difficult for you at the moment. I hope there are some people around you locally who can be supportive for you and your brother.

Re. the size of hospital bags, this time I've got a huge zip-up IKEA laundry-style bag with a jazzy print on it, which is about the size of a suitcase vertically and only cost about £2. Last time I think I had about three normal sized bags which I couldn't do up.

Jay I hope all's going well for you and you're feeling ok.

Still feels like ages to go compared to others... 34+6

Monstermuncher · 18/08/2010 20:08

Boostar and Skyeplus I'm exactly the same, I'm fed up with feeling crap and just want my baby. Isn't it great that babies are starting to appear on our thread? And how gorgeous are Sassy's twins - congrats to the new mummies and best wishes to Jaysfourth and Chathappy

I second / third those who say let's get it over with! I want a September baby in principle but at this point would be very happy to have it all over & done with... and to be able to see the baby!

Im at the end of september!! And both my last two were over due (first by full two weeks, second by ten days) Im trying to be patient but am just so uncomfortable. Its awful. You wouldnt mind the wait if you were physically able to get about and do a bit. I feel like such a crock. just achey and sore and not sleeping at all. Am also in toilet training hell at the moment! Day 3 and still not going very well. He will be 3 in nov so I dont want to give up and def dont want to have to deal with it when I have the baby. He is just so easy going and it doesnt bother him in the slightest to have wet pants. trying every carrot known to man but running thin on patience.

Dixie - Im 35 weeks and just had a trip cross country (7 hour drive) with all the family! Was tired the day after we got there but everyone was. I was fine the few days we were there but my God did I pay for it for about 3 days after we got back. I was just shattered and sore. So maybe line up some help for then?

Oosa - copied down list. Have it pinned to cupboard. Now just have to manage half an hour to myself to put it together!

Jaysfourth · 18/08/2010 20:59

can we have a new thread please! i am rubbish in as much i cant even decide on a name for my baby let alone anything witty for thread!

still here still waiting, the last weeks are almost as bad as the tentative fist weeks arent they....... still it wont be long, hang in there everyone. Lady in next bed to me, had to have her twins by section today at 29 weeks.... still waiting on news :(

patito · 18/08/2010 21:08

HI

Congratulations Debs and Sassy Smile. Thank you for sharing your photo, they are so beautiful! Have to admit to shedding a tear or two as well.

Jay Hope things in the hospital are going well for you.

chathappy Sorry to hear whats happening with your brother at the moment. Hope you have also got some support for yourself.

bananastew · 18/08/2010 21:09

Jays I was thinking the same! I don't do wit!

sassy34264 · 18/08/2010 21:38

Thanks everyone. I feel sooo lucky. But i'm also a little jealous of you all. I could live through that moment over and over. It's so wonderful. :o

Not to rain on your parade but i'm still not free of the pregnancy symptoms. I was told by the midwife today that my carpal tunnel syndrome may take weeks to go (still wearing splints and waking up in pain)and also that the dragging feeling i am currently experiencing in abdominals is my pelvic floor. Need to do exercises to stop possible prolapse!

I will be keeping watch over you all, to share in all your news. And I hope we can set up a baby thread after to keep in touch with everyone for tips and a friendly listening ear and advice as the babies all grow.

skyeplusbump · 18/08/2010 21:55

sassy thats a great idea!Grin

is it just me,or are the babys movements starting to hurt?!

comixminx · 19/08/2010 08:39
