Due October 2010 - anyone else??

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Evening ladies, mind if I join you?

Just got a BFP yesterday but period not due til Friday...I just had a feeling something was up. DH's reaction was "f*ing hell, we only did it once!" which was a bit different from what I'd been expecting

I'm not making any big plans yet as it's such early days; we have a 2yo DS, but I've had 3 MCs in the past, the most recent one last September. I'm hoping my GP will refer me for an early scan, if I make it that far!

Tentative due date is 16/10/10, so a bit behind the rest of you! I would love to have it on the 10/10/10, how cool would that be, but it's my sister's birthday and she'd hate me for it, heh.

Anyway, congrats all of you and here's hoping I'm here for the long haul!

Meanbeansmum · 03/02/2010 09:58

Hi, welcome to the newbies!!!

My sickness is here girls!!! Eurgh and yay all at once lol! How's everyone else feeling? 6 weeks tomorrow!

Meanbeansmum · 03/02/2010 10:00

Just noticed we have some teachers in here. I'm a physics teacher. Blissfully out of work since dd arrived. I will start looking for work when this littley is about 12-18 months.

dippingbackin · 03/02/2010 10:29

Three Science teachers already!!!

Ofsted just arrived - been working until 1am last two nights and will be same again tonight. Not good for stress levels. Still no sickness but will hit 5 weeks tomorrow so will see.

Ninthwave - welcome.

bloomingbex · 03/02/2010 10:44

Hi everyone

Hope you don't mind if I join?? I got my BFP on Sat and EDD is 10/10/10 This is my first pg but if I'm anything like my Mum was with me and my sisters this baby will arrive late!

Still finding this whole thing very strange. Am absolutely over the moon but I just can't quite believe there is a baby growing inside me!

Have no real symptoms as yet, feeling a little nauseous on and off and have a few cramps but nothing I can't cope with...yet . I'm waiting for worse to arrive!

Does anyone else feel like their brain has left the building?? I'm really struggling to concentrate on anything more taxing than getting dressed in the morning

tiredfeet · 03/02/2010 10:57

bit scared by all the science teachers

welcome new people, I don't know about you but each day that goes by I am a little bit more able to believe this is really happening

had cramps for the last week or so, very mild, but they seem to be going, and so far only slightly painful boobs and slightly nauseous. Feels crazy though that even so early on pregnancy can even cause any physical sypmtoms, I don't think I believed people when they said they knew even before ttheir period was due, but I sort of suspected.

and yes, brain has totally left the building, possibly the country...

tiredfeet · 03/02/2010 10:59

ps managed to resist testing today, for first time since Sunday. After all the months if trying, and at times not believing I would ever see a bfp, I just loved seeing that line come up

bloomingbex · 03/02/2010 11:15

Let's hope they don't set us a quiz anytime soon

tiredfeet - I can't believe how quickly the physical symptoms start either. My period wasn't due until the Sat just gone (TMI??) but I had an inclining that something was up by the middle of last week. Amazing how nature works! My dp thinks I'm making it up as he can't believe you can have symptoms this early

From what my friends with kids tell me, the brain may never fully return

Raahh · 03/02/2010 11:38

Hello- have just Louey's link on the similar thread.
As i put there- this is DC 3- have a ds(7), and DD (3.5). I am 38 and my due date is 2nd October.

Gutted becuae I very recently got rid of the cotbed

Despite being my 3rd. i think I am far more nervous this time round, and really won't believe it until i see a scan!

Good luck to everyone!

Raahh · 03/02/2010 11:42

And tiredfeet- there is something very addictive with pregnancy tests, i think- I have done 4, despite having a digital one that says IN WORDS that it is positive, i still can't get to grips with it!

(i did 8 with ds- 3 with dd-dh wouldn't let me get anymore!)

tiredfeet · 03/02/2010 12:09

snap bloomingbex (on period being due on Sat and due date of 10/10/10), and I think it was weds when I started to wonder. It meant DH was way more stunned than me when I got a +ve on Sunday!

hello Raahh - how annoying about the cotbed! but congratulations

right, I better go and do some work and stop thinking about the pregancy...(well, thats the plan anyway...)

JazzieJeff · 03/02/2010 12:37

Hi everyone, I'm from the other October 2010 group, mind if I join? I'm due on 01/10/10 and Raah; I had to do two digital tests with the words before I thought something might be up Thank God for the offer on them in Boots!
I felt quite stressed for the first few days about the whole thing after the initial 'oh my God!' reaction, but feeling much better today and a million miles more positive
Take care everyone
xxx

LadyThompson · 03/02/2010 12:45

Oh gosh, are there two? Ought we to merge them?

bloomingbex · 03/02/2010 13:33

Oh wow, that's amazing tiredfeet We'll have to compare progress along the way to see if we have anything else happen at the same time

Vikks · 03/02/2010 20:41

Evening all! Room for a small one (I am the moment anyway)?

I?m just moving ?house? from the conception threads where I?ve been sitting for so long I?ve got an imprint on my bum. It?s a bittersweet move as I?ve made so many good friends on there and I?m hoping they can all join me on this side of the fence soon. If everything goes smoothly, I?m looking forward to sharing the next eventful months will you.

My Story (in brief) ? TTC our first DC for nearly 3 years, with medical help for the last two. Many different drugs, 2 operations and for the past 3 cycles I?ve been injecting FSH and had IUI. The IUI worked!!!!!
I tested last night 12DPO and got my first ever BFP! I was hopeful because I knew something was different, my temp is so high and my boobs feel alien to me.
Did a Clearblue today and got 1-2 weeks. It?s sinking in more now I?ve peed on an expensive stick! Fertility Friends got my EDD at 14th Oct based on my OV day!

So that?s me, I?ve been walking on a cloud all day, I?m sure you know what I mean. Got my Doc?s appointment Friday! Good luck to us all H&H PG! Sticky Vibes x

dippingbackin · 04/02/2010 00:21

Congratulation Vikks - bet you are thrilled after the long haul you have had. I can't imagine how the past three years must have been for you.

Well done.

Vikks · 04/02/2010 08:43

dipping - Thank you. It really has been a crazy rollercoaster of time. I'm really hoping I can now just sit back and have a smooth and uneventful PG (IYKWIM).
I'm really loving not sticking needles in my legs! Ha Ha

Blimeyoriley · 04/02/2010 10:41

HELLO, I JUST NEED TO SHOUT OUT VERY VERY VERY LOUDLY OMG I JUST GOT A BFP

Haven't told anyone yet (well just my 9 month old DD that she's going to hopefully be a big sister, she didn't give much of a reaction). Am in total shock as this is the first month of trying (took 2 years and a MMC to have DD).

What made me take the test? My best friend just called to tell me she's taken a test this morning and it's positive (first month of trying for her for first child). Have had no pregnancy signs, and as my periods are soooooo irregular I don't have a clue when I'm due on, I just thought oh well take the test, and there was the little purple line. Am still shaking 2 hours later.[shaking emoticon]

Will tell DH when he gets home from work. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the news all to myself (and you guys - I've just weaned myself off mumsnet too, guess my addiction is about to start again).

Just hope when I tell my bestfriend she doesn't think I'm stealing her thunder!! It'll be lovely to go through pregnancy together though.

According to mumsnet am due on 10/10/10, but will wait for dating scan to rely on an EDD.

Well done everyone. Am now keeping fingers (and everything else) crossed for foreseeable future. Yay!

loueytbg · 04/02/2010 11:26

Congratulations and welcome to all the newbies

Vikks - you must absolutely be on cloud nine after the battle you've had. Hope the PG is totally uneventful

Blimey - that's what MN is for how exciting!!!!

Hello to Raahh and Jazzie - glad you came and joined us [waving emoticon]

Dippin - how did the OFSTED inspection go?? All the teachers I know say its really stressful. Mind you probably better to get it out of the way now than in later PG.

Thirdtime - how are you doing?? Have been thinking about you - is your scan tomorrow?

I'm 5+5 today and suddenly feel like I've been hit by a bus. MS is kicking in big time (although mainly just retching at the moment - nice). Still have over 2 weeks until my scan and time is going soooooo slowly. I also feel like the size of a house already (probably because I can't stop eating, only way to stop feeling sick).

When I get some more energy I will try and do a post with all our names and dates on it so we can (sort of) keep track. I'm supposed to be working at the moment instead of reading random threads on MN. Oops.

OP posts:
Vikks · 04/02/2010 12:25

Blimey - Congratulations from one MN addict to another! I like your due date.

Loueytbg - Thanks for the welcome! I suppose we?ve all got the ?hit by a bus? stage to come, I hope it?s not getting you down too much.
I like the idea of doing a list to keep track. Something like this?

Vikks- PG#1 Age32 EDD 14th Oct

With also DC ages adding in if you?ve got them. We could put them in order of EDD. Oh this is so exciting! x
