Due October 2010 - anyone else??

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Looks like I'm out, started bleeding this morning

dontstopmenow · 28/01/2010 11:44

Woo Hooo!! I am so very excited. Just tested this morning as 1 day overdue and I have lines in all the relevant places! I am so excited I can't concentrate on anything else. Due date 4th October according to mumsnet.
Congratulations to everyone else too!

loueytbg · 28/01/2010 12:02

Meansbeans - GL for scan, hope you see the sac and all is well - I think you are the first to have a scan??

Thirdtime - I'm so sorry - hope its just a bit of a bleed and nothing more although I can see why you are worried given your history.

dontstopme - congratulations - how on earth did you hold out testing until 1 day overdue

picc - its ages to wait isn't it, and the days reallly drag at this stage.

jenimoo - 10/10/10 would be very cool. Almost worth me going for vbac to get to that date (due on 2nd).

I went to Drs on Tuesday to confirm and have an antenatal appointment (with same dr) on 10th Feb. I'm not at all sure whether that is the booking in appt given that its with a Dr and not a midwife, but hey - every practice does it differently.

I'm not feeling as sick at the mo but still have times during the day when I feel quite rubbish. Its probably just as well as really busy at work and it would be difficult to hide if I had to keep running to the loo. Boobies have definitely expanded tho which DH is over the moon about

Ok scan news...had a long chat with the sonographer who wasn't keen to scan me as I'm less that 6 weeks (5 weeks today) but we went ahead on the principle of the cd5 BFN being potentially dodgy (I had a bfp last month)! She took ages and I was so scared I was borderline hyperventilating! She said she found a sac consistent with 5 weeks of pregnancy and only showed me a very zoomed out image. I had to probe her for measurements and then got an approximation of 1cm for sac size. She said she didn't want to scan me in a week as there won't be enough change, so to make it a fourtnight.

Consultant wanted me scanned in 7 days, we compromised on 10 days but that falls on a sunday so it'll be 11 days!

Interestingly dh said he definitely saw a white bit in the sac and he 'reckons' he saw 2 sacs that she measured both horizontally and vertically. But surely if she'd seen 2 she'd have said and surely she was just remeasuring from a different angle?????

I'll pass out if their's two little beans in there!!!! Surely she'd have said but then maybe she wouldn't if no heartbeats yet??? God my husband is a git!!! I'm going with she saw one and measured it twice, not saying I disbelieve Chris but well ya know he's a man and all lol!

So I'm on course for 5 weeks today and I have another scan in 11 days, praying to see a heartbeat then.

I feel a bit better now, it's at least in the right place even if nothing progresses I implanted an egg in the right place, phew!

Meanbeansmum · 28/01/2010 15:13

Thirdtimelucky, I am so very sorry, thinking of you. I know how much it hurts.xxx

picc · 28/01/2010 15:23

Thirdtimelucky, so so sorry.
I have no idea how you must be feeling.
But wishing you lots of strength now.

picc · 28/01/2010 15:28

dontstopmenow, congratulations!

meanbeansmum, wow! that's amazing, isn't it? I mean, nature is just amazing! We've all only just implanted the little beans, and still stuff just happens day by day at such an amazing rate.

loueytbg, smae here. Sometimes I just feel a bit crappy. Sometimes I just feel a bit sick. And I get a really horrible metallic taste quite often.

But it's still at the stage where I wonder if I'm imagining it.
However, judging by last time, there's no way you can be 'imagining' it once nausea kicks in properly. So I'm just enjoying being able to 'imagine it away' while I can.

Definitely feeling rubbish today, anyway, as DS woke up... er... 5?.... times last night. OUCH!

picc · 28/01/2010 15:29

did I just say amazing 3 times in one line??

StrictlyKatty · 28/01/2010 15:56

Hi! Can I join? I think DC2 is due 25/09/10 but DS was a full 2 weeks late so I'm pretty sure it'll be a Oct one

DH has said said he doesn't want it to be born on his birthday on 6th cos he doesn't want to share I bet it will be just to annoy him!

picc · 29/01/2010 18:42

Congrats, Strictly!

DS managed to miss DH's birthday by 3 days last year. But I keep giving DH's birthday when I'm asked for DS's!

You must be a good few weeks pregnant now...

dippingbackin · 29/01/2010 19:59

Anyone else missing a Friday night glass of wine?? Went completely off alcohol with first two but really fancy a glass of vino tonight - maybe will go off it when a bit further down the road.

Going out with some friends tomorrow night so will have to produce yet another lame excuse for not drinking - am sure they will see straight through it!!!

Didn't mention in previous posts - am due 5/10/10 according to Mumsnet so still early days.

Thirdtimeluckypleasexx · 29/01/2010 20:15

Hey all, don't have time to read all the posts but will do later. Just thought I'd update:

Went to the docs today, orginally to tell him I was pregnant but thought I'd still go so he could log the MC - he wasn't happy and sent me to A & E. They did an internal exam and took some bloods, cervix is still closed and the blood is 'old' blood so I am not 'actively' bleeding. They are concerned about ectopic given my history and wanted to keep me in until Monday - I have discharged myself because they can't actually do any further tests until Monday.

So..... I am technically still pregnant BUT the bleeding yesterday was really heavy - Limbo again but I guess it's not over until I(the fat lady) starts singing x

loueytbg · 30/01/2010 11:53

Thirdtime - I'm so sorry - must be so horrible to have to wait and not know what's going on. I guess the fact it is old blood may be a positive sign??? Can't they scan to see what is going on? Can totally understand why you don't want to stay in hospital over the weekend. Have things crossed for you

OP posts:
loueytbg · 30/01/2010 19:44

Congratulations Strictly! You never know, you might not be 2 weeks over this time. Can't imagine waiting that long!

dippingbackin - yes I'm missing the booze too and I didn't last time until much later on. I think I am feeling better this time which might explain it. Have a stash of 0% becks and cobra beers. Ame in a wine glass makes me feel like I'm drinking wine even if it tastes nothing like it .

StrictlyKatty · 31/01/2010 21:40

Thanks! DS was 9.7 lb and it nearly killed me. Literally. After he was born I got an infection and the Doc actually told me I might die (German, v. brutal) which has made me very nervous about this one TBH. He was induced but took 3 days... I feel sick thinking about it! I'm hoping 2nd ones comes quicker and more promptly!

tiredfeet · 31/01/2010 21:50

hello, can I join please? got my first ever BFP today and feel the need to share!! We had been ttc for 16 months so very glad to finally type the words BFP.

glad to see I'm not the only one who won't stop at one test stick :-)

think I'm due about 10th Oct, feels a long way away!

picc · 31/01/2010 22:22

Thirdtime, so sorry. How are things now? Hoping it's all working out okay this time.

Strictly, wow! Do you know, I had an okay birth (although was induced and ended up with ventouse....), but the other day it hit me that I have to go through all that again and I kind of thought "noooooo!!"

tiredfeet, that is FANTASTIC! congratulations!!

well it is finally hitting me I'm pregnant. Tired, achey legs and very hormonal (aka MOODY.. but that might just be me!)
Also, had to refuse brie (i love cheese) AND wine this weekend. And I felt a little bit hard done by. Still, I guess it's worth it

Don't worry, tiredfeet, 10th Oct will be here in scarily no time.

LadyThompson · 31/01/2010 23:01

May I join you?

Had couple of BFPs, ostensibly due on 1 October but my DD is only 14 months so timing is far from ideal and it's all a bit of a surprise....

Thirdtimeluckypleasexx · 01/02/2010 09:05

Just call EPAU and they said they can make an appointment for Friday to scan me (I explained query ectopic and that I'd had 2 before but Friday is the earliest!) If I'm worried go back to A & E

Don't know what to do now, don't want to make a fus but can't stand limbo!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh

loueytbg · 01/02/2010 13:35

Thirdtime - that's crap. What would they do if you just turned up at EPU?? Has the bleeding stopped?? I can't remember when your EDD is but assuming you are around 5wks - they should be able to see if sac is in the right place at least.

tiredfeet - congratulations You must be over the moon, 16 months is a long time (I speak from experience, 1st time round it took 2 years). I kept testing until the line got as dark as the control line (took a few days ).

LadyT - congratulations to you too sounds like quite a nice age gap to me?? DD will be nearly 2 when this one arrives. I can imagine it all seems daunting at the moment though!

Picc - yep - not nice having to turn down things you love.

Yesterday I was thinking that I didn't feel pregnant at all (and starting to mildly panic). Today, I feel like crap again, plus I have a cold. Nearly puked in WHSmiths at lunchtime. MS started properly with DS1+2 at 6 weeks (which will be Saturday). I'm bracing myself....

OP posts:
Meanbeansmum · 01/02/2010 15:28

Thirdtoime, making u wait is awful, can they at least fit you in for bloods to see if yours are doubling?

All is well here 5+4 and feeling mighty nauseus which is bang on time for me, by 6 weeks I should be vomitting! NICE! Something to look forward to! ;)

Welcome and congrats to all newbies.xx

baiyu · 01/02/2010 20:11

Hello! Can I very cautiously and optimistically join you? I'm about 5 weeks gone (or 3 from conception, such a funny system!) MN puts my EDD at 6th October.
Have one DS who's 20 months. Very excited to be on an ante-natal thread again!

dippingbackin · 01/02/2010 20:15

Congratulations to the newcomers.

Thirdtimelucky - keeping fingers crossed for you.

I have now got something to keep my mind of being pregnant - found out today that Ofsted are coming on Wednesday and Thursday (am Deputy Head of Science in a large inner city Academy). No doubt morning sickness will start at 8am on Wednesday!!!

Picc - had same scenario as you on Saturday, had to turn down lovely white wine and used the classic antibiotics excuse - am sure everyone saw through it but were too nice to push me on it!!!

tiredfeet · 01/02/2010 22:44

thanks all, and congratulations to those who have joined. did a digital test today, made it seem more real somehow, especially for DH who couldn't quite believe it

thirdtimelucky- really hope everything goes ok for you

picc · 01/02/2010 22:50

Oh thirdtime, that just sucks! Limbo is a terrible place to be. Do let us know how it goes. Am hoping someone sees you sooner to tell you something.

Congratulations, baiyu!
Know what you mean. Seems so odd saying I'm 5 weeks + whatever, when we only even (ahem) did 'the deed' 3 weeks ago or so (I guess.... I don't know... I find it all very confusing!)

dippingbackin, I'm a teacher too (also Science!) but luckily we've already been Ofsted-ed this year, so it's out of the way.
Hope it all goes well for you Weds and Thurs.
