I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Hellooo all you lovely people! Sorry I have not been online for ages, I've had no access and also have been away for work. Just in case PFJ and QA are still perusing this- I am so sorry to hear your news- I know how you feel and its particularly pants to lose a fallopian tube PFJ- ym heart goes out to you and I hope you are feeling better.

I'm 9 weeks today! I rang the docs the other day to sort out my first midwife appointment and the earliest they could fit me in was at the 12 week point! Fortunately they gave me the mw's mobile number and she called me back and is referring me for a nuchal fold scan and bloods for some point between 11-13.5 weeks and is able to see me at the 11 week point, which is better. So we basically had a phone appointment. She was going to try and see me yesterday afternoon, but I'm glad she didn't as she had a stinking cold ! I was very pleased to hear that the scan is available here because last year when I was unsuccessully pg up north, nothing of the sort was available.

Nymph- I think you're in the same boat I was and it was ligament pains, but the scan was very useful in allaying my fears esp as I'd had some spotting. I hope you get a resolution. Wierdly, the pains went away after the scan...

I'm still feeling pretty fine, except my boss has just gone through something with me and the whiteboard marker has made me want to hurl!! x x

Not sure how I've done it but I don't get the first post stickied at the top - I'm on Mumsnet muted and have all the posts load on one page (if you go to customise you can have a play)

Well what a saga of this morning am now having a celebratory grapefruit!

Pain started again after I had taken the kids to school

Phoned Xray at 10am - please phone back in half an hour when they are all out of a team meeting

Phoned back- no record of me, she then looked at todays in pile to check , no again. I burst into tears. She gives me fax number to get GP to fax referral.

Phone GP cry again -nice lady this time says she will get a new form from a different GP (yesterdays not in) and will fax it asap.

Whilst I am on the phone the other phone rings and X ray say come before 12:30.

phone dh leaving a message as he is in a meeting.

Phone rings again and Gp has said to go to EPU. I said I didn't know we have one and receptionist said 'neither did I, new apparantly'

Start getting ready to go and GP calls again and says before 11:30 (now 11am and its about half an hour away with crap parking)

Rush to hosp.Wait for 10 mins in huge queue to say I'm there and get seen straight away.

Nurse took some details, forcefed me water and took me for a scan.Scan found baby in the right place and saw the heart beat. Nice scan lady produced wad a tissues for me as I bawled(bit of a theme now)

Saw the nurse again who said that for now we'll have to assume its my scar as thats where the pain seems most concentrated and not to do too much (with my energy levels ?)

Came out of the hospital switched my phone on and had a text from dh (11:30) saying his meeting has just finished AT THE HOSPITAL and where was my appt ( guess what happened next .....)

So thanks everyone who has been putting up with my moaning and I'll try & behave now !

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 11/03/2010 13:27

salander · 11/03/2010 13:33

ksal - my first proper appt isn't til 6th april also - think will be exactly 12 weeks then. it does seem like eternity though.

MummyLovesSadie · 11/03/2010 13:37

IlooklikeGrotbagstoday · 11/03/2010 13:50

Elsa123 · 11/03/2010 14:10

whoopee Nymph! well done x x x

Hermya321 · 11/03/2010 14:12

Great news Nyphm which EPU did you end up going to?

KSal · 11/03/2010 14:49

Nymph that's such good news... such a releif for you to know that its all good in there!

Nymphadora · 11/03/2010 14:57

hermya B. It doesn't show up on the epu website and you can only be referred and loads of people don't know about judging by this week! But at least I'm sorted now ,sort of!

loobyboo · 11/03/2010 14:57

Had to book an urgent appointment to see gp on the advice of my mw due to painful calf, have been having cramp like pains in it for the past week or so, but yesterday & today it is constant.

so the mw thought with my history (having had dvt and the blood clotting disorder) even though i am having daily injections to thin my blood, to go see gp and then she can refer me for a scan to be on the safe side or it might just be one of those things, we will just have to wait and see.

i don't need this right now if it is any thing bad what with my family goings on, latest update from last nights post, my mum has told my brother not to come home after is small op this afternoon and has been throwing things out the window at him. ( i don't know where he will go as he needs to have bed rest on his front for a few days), i don't know whether to intervene and get caught in the crossfire as its got nothing to do with me.

seeing gp at 3.50. report later.

tiredfeet · 11/03/2010 16:06

thats wonderful news nymphadora, I'm so glad you got the scan finally and I'm so so pleased everything looks good. well done for making it to the hospital on time!!

loobyboo poor you the cramps sound horrible, hopefully the gp will get you sorted. Sorry you're having to deal with family dramas too, wish I knew what to advise but family things are so complicated... do you have anyone close who knows about this who could help you figure out what to do? is there someone your brother could stay with?

I'm having an ok day today not been sick and actually fancied food rather than just bland carbs, so DH took me out for lunch, just a nice sandwich shop placey but it was sooooo good to eat real food for a change! I'm hoping its a sign the morningwell cd does really work, rather than a sign of anything being wrong, as I thought 9 weeks was too early for symptoms to be easing. but for now I'm going to try and stay positive and enjoy not feeling totally horrible for once

DillyDora · 11/03/2010 16:13

Hi All,

Congrats Nymph that's lovely news - phew!

loobyloo I'm really sorry about all the horrible family stuff. Mine are fairly um...'challenging' with several diagnoses of major psychiatric disorders between them so I know how very hard it can be. Hope things get better, hope your bro can find somewhere to be to recover from his op.

Glad you're having a good day tiredfeet there haven't been too many of those.

Floozie sorry about the nuchal scan thing, that's very very rubbish.

Not feeling too bad today though yesterday was better! Just had to teach and had to do some of it sitting down (hey, it's better than falling down!) and now German class till 9 pm which is normally my bed time...hmm....

xx

jennimoo · 11/03/2010 17:38

Nymph - so glad for you, even welled up!

I think we only have 9 messages left on the thread, I vote for the pumpkin one...

Nymphadora · 11/03/2010 18:51

Thanks everyone!

loobyloo how did you get on?

floozie we don't have nuchal either.

I like the 10/10 one but it may get mixed up with the 10/10 fruit veg & exercise people!

MummyLovesSadie · 11/03/2010 19:10

How about a compromise:

10/10 babies - pumpkin smugglers form an orderly queue

Vikks · 11/03/2010 19:12

Nymphadora So glad it went well today.

Loobyloo How are you now?

NinthWave · 11/03/2010 19:50
