Due October 2010 - anyone else??

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Congratulations on your BFP. I'm from the October 2009 group and it only seems like yesterday that I started the Due in Oct 2009 AN thread last January. Had baby no3, a boy on the 1st October. Am sure you will get more joining you very soon.

Just got a faint BFP, v early days and my recent pg history has not been that happy so keeping everything crossed x

picc · 25/01/2010 08:03

hello.
Congratulations, you two.
And thirdtimelucky, am really crossing everything for you.

Yes, BFP on Friday, and due 2nd of October from LMP date.

DC2. Very excited! And itching to tell everyone. But trying not to hold breath and get too excited, as it's very early days.

Difficult not to, though isn't it!

Thirdtimeluckypleasexx · 25/01/2010 11:32

Did another test this morning (at 4am!!) and got a stronger line, feeling really sick which is totally mad!

Hope I get to say on this thread x

Thirdtimeluckypleasexx · 25/01/2010 11:33

Sorry - welcome picc and yes v difficult!

picc · 25/01/2010 13:18

erm... I did another one too! and got a stronger line. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't imagining it.

I thought I was feeling sick last week, but I'm feeling better today. And DS (11 months) has been projectile vomiting over the weekend, so I'm wondering whether it was just that. Maybe we both had a bug.

Agh! It's so difficult to stop thinking about it. I keep telling myself it's really early days, and anything could happen.
But I'm so excited too

dippingbackin · 25/01/2010 13:58

Hi...

Not been on the site for years but thought I would dip back in as have done test this morning and got BFP. Will be DC3 - already have DD(7) and DS(6).

Agree that tricky to keep quiet.

picc · 25/01/2010 15:46

congrats, dippingbackin!

that's where this site comes into its own: you can come an shout about things that you can't in real life!

how did you find the gap between DD and DS? Looks like it'll be similar (if not even smaller) to the one I'm loking at.... (DS will be 20 months if all goes well after this BFP!)

dippingbackin · 25/01/2010 16:02

My gap was 14 months - was bloody tricky at first but is great now. Back to back school years makes life a lot easier. They fight like cat and dog but I think that would be true of any age gap.

I think 20 months is a lot more sensible - I sometimes feel DD missed out on some quality time on her own with me.

Mrsshuvel · 26/01/2010 14:46

I'M PREGNANT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry - wanted to join in the secret shouting.

Congrats to everyone

I think i am due on the 1st according to my LMP but DS1 (2) was a week early so we'll see. I think i knew as soon as the sperm hit the egg (sorry to be so graphic) even though i had two neg. tests. My boobs were killing me.

Haven't been on MN since i was last pg. It was a great way to pretend to be working before maternity leave

loueytbg · 26/01/2010 15:53

Congrats to everyone

Mrsshuvel - I think 1st october this year is a great day to be born on (01/10/10) Shout away

Thirdtime - crossing everything for you too - I felt sick from the moment the hcg hit my bloodstream and have been retching ever since, so you're not mad.

Picc - yep I'm v. excited too and resisting the temptation to tell everyone. I managed last time to avoid telling partly because I was on holiday from weeks 6-8 (which was when MS really kicked in last time).

Dippin - quite an age gap - I bet its all changed since you had your first 2.

Tests are getting darker (must stop peeing ) and have been to Drs today to confirm it. Antenatal appointment in 2 weeks. I've booked an private scan for a months time because I'm bloody impatient and can't possibly wait 8 weeks for the NHS to get their act together send me an appointment. I wish I could fast forward to 12 weeks though...

dippingbackin · 26/01/2010 19:21

Loueytbg - I booked an early scan as well. Really don't feel pregnant (no morning sickness yet) so keen to check everything is going well.

Congratulations to everyone else.

jennimoo · 26/01/2010 20:43

Hello, got my first ever BFP today (12dpo)! Although we were TTC it is still a shock, especially as first cycle.
EDD 07/10/10, although I think it'd be cool to be 3 days late!
X

Mrsshuvel · 26/01/2010 22:59

Congrats Jenimoo. 10/10/10 would be cool. DS1 is 09/08/07 which I like, although DH is always getting it the wrong way round.

Think it's lovely having early scans Loueytbg and dipping.

You are very brave Picc with a 20 month gap. Not sure i could have coped when DS1 was that age. He will be 3 when DC2 arrives and starting pre-school thankfully.

Meant to say earlier fingers crossed too Thirdtime.

So where is everyone from then? and what do we do? I'm from London and stay at home with DS1 which is lovely, a bit of a struggle financially sometimes but I wouldn't change it.

Meanbeansmum · 27/01/2010 12:34

Hi girls, can I join you all please!!!!

I'm due 29th-1st october ISH!!!LOL! But I cook my babies well and will no doubt go a week over lol!

This is baby number 4 for me. I am praying it's a sticky,I had an ectopic pg in september and a chem pg in december. I've had bloods done and they are doubling. I have a scan tomorrow and I'm really nervous and hoping there is a 5 week sac in there.

Fingers crossed we all have happy healthy little beans inside.

Looking forward to chatting.xxxxx

picc · 27/01/2010 16:22

Aw gosh! thank god for this thread!!!

I wanted to run in to my friend at work today and say "GUESS WHAT!!??!!"
but I can't....

dippingbackin, am very impressed at your 14 month gap.In all sorts of ways.... ;)
Mrsshuvel-that's why I'm scared!! I've got to admit that I found the first few months with DS much more difficult than I expected. And this was just with one.

But I guess I'd like to have maybe 3 kids (haha! I say that now.... we'll see, eh?), and I'm getting on a bit now ;) (I'm 35), so I have to get going!

Oh when can I start to breathe a bit more freely? It's weeks yet! Am jealous of you lot having scans already. I haven't got my first appointment with the Dr til next Thursday, so I'll be waiting ages for everything.

Fingers crossed for all the beans....

Meanbeansmum · 27/01/2010 17:08

Picc, I wish I didn't need a scan, previous ectopic and I had a gushing bleed a week ago so they need to check me. My first three pg's I had to wait for 12 weeks and I know that's hard waiting but I kinda wish I didn't need tomorrow's scan.

Loving everyone's small age gaps! I have 3 year gaps here although this latest gap will be less than 3 years by a few months.

jennimoo · 27/01/2010 17:42

Picc - when are you due? I'm not sure when I should book a doctors appointment. Got BFP yesterday, but AF not due til Friday. I guess I could call, they might make me wait a while for an appointment I guess. What are other peoples experiences of that first appointment, when do they want to see you?
X

picc · 27/01/2010 17:52

Due 1st Oct according to Mumsnet!
AF was due at the weekend (I think! I'm still breastfeeding DS, so cycles have been getting shorter and shorter since they started again).

LAst year, I didn't realise I was pg at first, so I didn't get a Drs appointment until around the same time (6 weeks or so since last LMP).

All mine did was say congratulations (didn't test me or anything), and told me to book myself a midwife appointment.

Not a lot goes on at first IME. It's almost an anti-climax!

But be grateful if it is! I had to see drs constantly at the end of last pg due to high BP (DS eventually induced, although he was over 40 weeks by then). If all is well, you're kind of left to get on with it, really.

picc · 27/01/2010 17:56

Oh god MEanbeansmum! Sorry!! very insensitive of me.
Yep, close relative also pg for 5th time in 15 months, and she's had 2 scans already (she's 8 weeks now). She really needed them. And was very nervous!
Really hoping it all goes well for you.

She had a scan yesterday. 8 weeks now, and a heartbeat and everything. And after all the MCs last year, it's such a relief.

All the luck and best wishes for you tomorrow...

Meanbeansmum · 27/01/2010 18:31

Picc not insensitive at all, I just have the hump aboput having to go to the EPU when I want to swan on in blissful ignorance lol! Lovely news on your relative, happy endings do happen I feel like everything is fine, EPU make me feel like everythings not, a scan will tell me more, I hope to see a sac tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Jennie, normally just go on the mw's list at the drs surgery and then wait for a booking in appointment which is a load of forms etc. Then it's waiting for a 12 week scan in my area. Any pg problems get referred to the EPU via the GP. It gets exciting after 12 weeks when the sickness slows a bit lol.

Mrsshuvel · 27/01/2010 18:38

Just a quickie to say good luck for tomorrow Meanbeans. Off to 'big boy's school' (night school) as DS calls it.

dippingbackin · 27/01/2010 19:08

Hi All...getting to be a few of us now. Had a panic today as not feeling very pregnant, did yet another test but only very faint line this time. Am hoping it was because of excess water consumption so hormone diluted. Going to do another one in morning. Total waste of money as had a clear BFP on Monday - but just want the extra confirmation.

Jenni - I booked a GPs appointment and he will then refer me to hospital for booking in appointment. As last pregnancy was 7 years ago I am not sure if procedure the same but seem to remember that first appointment involves mass blood taking and loads of questions. Exciting part is the scan at 12 and 20 weeks.

Hope tomorrow goes well Meanbeans

Thirdtimeluckypleasexx · 27/01/2010 21:54

Hey all, worrying here - few sharp pains yesterday but ok now. My last 3 pregnacies have been 2 ectopics then a MMC last November. (Third time lucky relates to new DP).

I have 2 DSs 15 and 16 now, 14 months apart (I loved it, still do) DP has no children.

I'm from Warwickshire and am 38 now - DP is older.

Am too scared to buy more HPTs in case they show a drop

HAve booked a doctors appointment for Friday but not sure about early scans might be better just to wait ??

xx

Thirdtimeluckypleasexx · 27/01/2010 21:55
