Hello - just popping in to register myself on the new thread so it shows up in 'threads I'm on'. Hello!!!! [waves frantically to other thread...]

.

And wondering - anyone else keeping a pregnancy journal? how often do you write in it? I started mine the day after we found out and furiously wrote in it everyday for a few weeks. It now gets the odd sparse "X got told today. They were happy" comment. Probably won't want to publish it post birth!

annamama · 22/08/2009 12:57

Oh it's empty in here! HELLO! hello! hello! (there's an echo as well)

Interesting to read everyone's opinions/arguments re finding out the sex or not! I guess you get what you get either way, in fact it was decided already when that lucky winning sperm met the egg.

A bit sad though if you really want a daugher/son and you never get it. But, him/her would have probably been a brat anyway!

I thought I was feeling better for a few days but now I feel worse again. Tired, a bit nauseous, grumpy. DH has just taken DD to the shops, she was crying mummy mummy as they left. Going through a very mummy-clingy phase, quite cute, but hoping it passes before she can't have mummy all to herself anymore... Surely she can't be suspecting anything?! (16 months) You never know.

Hope everyone's having a nice weekend and have better things to do than sitting in front of computer!

marking the thread too.

Rindercella · 22/08/2009 13:39

Good job annamama The answer to your thread title is fat. Very fat

All going well here. Feeling slightly better day by day. I am 9 weeks today, but will be pleased when I have my scan to get an accurate due date (3 long weeks to wait)

We're having a joint b'day party for DD on Monday with a couple of her friends whic I am really looking forward to (she'll be 2 tomorrow week).

wilkos · 22/08/2009 13:41

hello all!

I look about 20 weeks already!

Dalrymps · 22/08/2009 13:54

Helloooooo everyone

Pingpong · 22/08/2009 14:07

hello all
my DD 16m is also having a clingy mummy stage. She also likes to poke her finger in my tummy button. I've told her that there is a baby growing in there but she just smiles and giggles at me. She quite likes pushing her dolly around in the buggy and will go and kiss the dolly on the head . .. . . .and then batter her with a garden trowel! Not too promising for the new baby but early days eh!?

shyla01 · 22/08/2009 14:15

hello all, havent posted for a while, although i have tried to keep up!

i am 9+4, and i have another scan booked for monday afternoon. just for reassurance really as i have mc at 8 weeks twice before. did have a bit of a panic earlier in the week when it seemed ms had stopped suddenly. shouldnt have spoke to soon as it has been back today just as bad as before!

still holding off adding myself to the list, might do it if all is ok on monday.

hope everyone else is well. xx

Welcome Pixie! You're not too late... it's still a looong way to March. At least you've got plenty of older children who hopefully will be willing to help with their little brother/sister!

Shyla - fingers crossed for you!

"Fat, very fat"

Let's all measure our bellies around the fattest point... (getting tape measure)... I'm 39 inches.

Smac - Glad your DD is clingy too. Hmm, better hide the garden trowel when the new baby is born then! She seems funny...

Itwascertainlyasurprise - what happened to you, are you still around? How's it going?

OP posts:
shyla01 · 22/08/2009 16:44

annamama 34in at the fattest point, but its still early, usually gets much biger in the evening. not quite maternity clothes yet but i have worn nothing but leggings and loose tops for the past 2 weeks!

BellasYummyMummy · 22/08/2009 17:02

hello all!! just updating the list as my due date has been changed at my last scan, though am annoyed as the sonographer was going by a 28 day cycle so says baby is due on the 28th of feb which i know is not true, so i am going by what the baby actually measured at the time. how is everyone? are you all well? I am so pleased to finally be at 12 weeks, such a relief though i still havent told any of my friends or work. my morning sickness is abating though i still have rough days, and oh my goodness am i tired! anyone else falling alseep on the sofa at 830?? i think i have been in bed by 9 the last 2 months. i am feeling very fat and no longer fitting in my jeans so have my old maternity ones out and have been living in dresses and tights. feeling glum as i lost all my baby weight only to put it back on again. yet i still keep reaching for things i shouldnt eat!! healthy food just doesnt appeal as much!

BellasYummyMummy · 22/08/2009 17:54

never too early for pjs!!!!! i could live in mine, wish i could wear them all day even to work, though i dont think my boss would approve. And take my duvet with me, that would be loveliness.

Arcadie · 22/08/2009 20:24

Pixie Nice to have you here. I suspect you will be the voice of experience on our thread....
Pixieeeeeeeeeeee what should I so when my 5 year old does thiiiiiiiis?
"Ahh my child, I remember when...."
Pixieeeeeeeeeee does it get any easier?
"No my child it does not".....

hope you don't mind. experience is a wonderful thing.

TakeLovingChances · 22/08/2009 23:51

Arcadie I am keeping a pregnancy journal You're not the only one! I go through wee phases of writing in it a lot, then have days when I don't say anything.

I'm a bit of a poet, so I've written a few nice things in there. Plan to give it to child when they are old enough to like things like that.... or maybe just keep it myself!

Mumbot It is never a bad time to be in PJ's! I was in town today shopping with some friends (one is getting married in November) so we were in a big department store. I walked past the nightwear section, saw all these lovely PJ's and nighties and I just thought to myself: "I wish I was in bed right now...." (it was about 3:30pm) Lol!

It's 11:49pm now and I am in my PJ's for real, feeling very comfy and happy

Hello all.

Lunchtime and I'm in bed.

But I was up for a swim at 8 this morning < smug self-satisfied emoticon>

donttrythisathome · 23/08/2009 13:15

Just adjusting my EDD following the scan.

Hey Pixie no I'm on my 3rd small person now and feeling a little like an old pro when it comes to babies and a total pregheaded novice when it comes to my 3 yr old DS.... It's more for the "dealing with 3 DCs" that I'll be coming crying....
