I keep dreaming about labour. I woke up last week thinking I was having contraction until I realised that actually I'd just dreamt it - and did the same last night think my waters had broken.

It's very frustrating!

hello -

for the list: I am having c section on 20th March. Don't know if it is boy or girl. I have a 19mo DD, and I am 37.

Thanks

honey123 · 06/03/2009 11:24

Twocute,
I've booked for a HB,and I know I could just ask for monitoring, but the MW doesn't really want me to go over 40+14, that is a Sunday and they won't book an induction over the w/end which leaves Fri 13th! I have a very superstitious DH so I've opted for the Weds so should be all over by then. Also, although I have 2 gorgeous daughters with easy births (well normal anyway!)DH had a stillbirth with previous partner so that's making me extra cautious. I know we are having a baby but I think some part of him still does not believe he will really be a parent soon.

Wheelybug · 06/03/2009 11:30

Good luck today Lollipopz and emma and good point re the disappearance of MKG....

Honey - my due date is Friday 13th ! I don't mind if I go into natural labour on that day but at one point they were talking of doing a c-sec at term and I was not sure I wanted it on due date.. and I don't want it the day before because its MIL's birthday. The following MOnday DH has an appointment with his consultant which he could really do without missing. So, if they at any point decide I need a section and soon I am hoping for either 11th or 17th. Not that I'm difficult. That said, at least there's probably loads of availability on 13th !!

Off to see MW this afternoon so keep your fingers crossed for my bouncy blood pressure... 39 weeks today- can't believe it.

Wow ! Violet has suddenly become en vogue - DD was suggesting it the other day for a first name and i think its lovely. DH didn't go for it though. Hope the nipples feel better soon Wrolf.

Hi thanks for the well wishes appointment is at 3. So hoping baby is the right way round! A c sec would be a disaster for me as dh doesn't drive and dd's school is a 15 min drive away no buses go that way either . Apart from the fact i got a shiny new big people carrier on Monday and i am rather enjoying cruising about in it although that is rather selfish! Hope we have more happy baby news from Emma or MKG soon! x

I found you

Glad everyone is doing OK, and congratulations to Auntyspan!

I was sure something was happening this morning - went to bed feeling a bit off-colour last night, woke with painful BHs from 6am, which lasted till after 10am then finally died away when I got to the park with DS and walked around for a while.

DH is in London for work today (2 hour train journey plus the journey to the offices he is in for his meeting, plus whatever waits for trains plus half an hour from the local station back to our house). I was not best pleased with him for agreeing to go to the meeting!

Sunshinesmith · 06/03/2009 14:06

Hi girls,

Not much to report,,,, but congrats to all the new mummies! This is just getting to exciting for words...

Saw my midwife yesterday, baby fully engaged - bump measuring 36 cm - approx 7lb's

We have finally decided on names
Arla for a girl and Jan for a boy... yeah we likes A letters!!!

I cannot contain my excitement about the whole thing... can' wait can't wait!!!!!!

Sunshinesmith · 06/03/2009 14:08

BOOBZ - This ad is getting on my txts biiiiiig time also... you are not alone!!!!

EllieorOllie · 06/03/2009 14:19

Hi everyone

Congrats to all who've popped. It's v exciting but i'm jealous. Midwives should not predict early babies when it can't be guaranteed!! I'm only 38 and 2, but when i had an early show and baby was measuring big and engaged she said he would probably arrive around 37-38 weeks. Gah. He appears to be comfortable in there.

Dinny, i'm so excited that you chose Romilly for your little one. It was my one and only choice for a girl. But of course i'm having a boy... And i have a list of about 20 blimmin names to choose from.

Took DD to her first ballet lesson this morning. It was veeeeery pink... Was good though - they're a national franchise called 'babyballet'. Highly recommend it to anyone with 2/3 yr olds that need to be entertained. I constantly worry about how boring life is going to be for her when the baby arrives and she's stuck at home with us. But we seem to be sorting out a routine of nursery sessions and ballet that should relieve the tedium!!

God, i'm so flippin hot. I need a paddling pool in the lounge. It is ridiculous to be this warm in March...

Best of luck to all who are approaching their D-Dates. Keep up the good work!!

EllieorOllie · 06/03/2009 14:21

btw, if that ad is driving you mad, you can always mute the sound on your computer. it is flippin annoying though...

FruitynNutty · 06/03/2009 14:26

Afternoon all I thought I'd do my usual and get on the thread at the beginning. No doubt I'll lose track again though How do you all keep up!!!??

I have a bit of news, I have a c-section booked for Weds 18th March due to baby being breech and previous emergency c-section.
My dream waterVBAC/homebirth idea was snatched from me ages ago so I thought, what the hell, lets just get baby out

So, roll on 18th March! (4 days early )

Congratulations to all those who've popped btw! I had noticed as I lurk all the time!

Mandy73 · 06/03/2009 14:30

Congratulations to all the new arrivals and thank you so much for your lovely messages. It really does mean a lot.

And hang in there all of you still waiting -- what can I say, things may happen sooner than you think!

Just a note to those who may end up with a CS: I am absolutely stunned how little pain was involved, how well the baby is doing and how quickly the body recovers.

xx

PS: adding some new pics now

FruitynNutty · 06/03/2009 14:30

Ooh just realised titchy has the same name for her new DS as my 3 yr old DS
Gorgeous name!

FruitynNutty · 06/03/2009 14:36

Hey Wheely Have you had the acupuncture yet?

FruitynNutty · 06/03/2009 14:41

I mean reflexology! duh!

corgikelly · 06/03/2009 14:42

Mandy, you look so well! And Felix is very handsome (loving the almost-knee-high booties ).

Bet we have two or three new babies to report by tomorrow...

Tough to be at the end of the month and watch all this happening! On the other hand, it's really convenient having the baby inside rather than outside. We had our last antenatal class a couple of days ago, and people were very reluctant to leave afterward - I think we were all feeling that as long as the class was going on, we were all safely antenatal - now that it's over, there's no denying the reality of the natal and postnatal bits! Eeeeek.

jollyjoanne · 06/03/2009 14:46

Mandy love the photos. These newborns are all so cute - watch me give birth to some chimp look alike!

And I have my fingers crossed for both Emma and MKG hopefully they will both be on soon with newborns and more great birth stories.

I've had curry for lunch today in the hope that it might encourage some action from the baby. But currently nothing and no sign that this baby will be here on or before the due date of Sunday. Will be moving on to my raspberry leaf tea later on.
