After a bit of cajoling from some friends (some of whom I hope can join me here soon), I decided to take the plunge and start this thread.

Anyway, I have just found out I am pregnant again, got a BFP on Saturday 23rd at 12dpo, which gives me an EDD of 3rd November 2008 (or the 4th, depending on which calculator I use). This is my 4th pregnancy and will be my 3rd child. I am super excited and a little scared & nervous after a previous missed miscarriage.

I hope I don't get too lonely waiting for more BFP's to roll in! Please come and join me.

Yay Mjormoo, you made it!! I absolutely agree with these early weeks not being easy. I am utterly scared of my lack of symptoms. I know that all pregnancies are different that that some women hardly get any symptoms, but I didn't expect me to be one of those people, lol! Is 4+4 too early for real symptoms? I definately had symtpoms by this point with my last 2 pregnancies. Can't really say about ds1's pregnancy as we weren't trying and he was a suprise, so I probably didn't find out until I was gone 5 weeks.

I am also starting to wonder if my youngest ds is psychic, he brought me a book to read to him earlier called, "I'm a big brother" . It was a book we bought for ds1 when expecting ds2.

I also don't have any symptoms yet, nothing that couldn't be blamed on other things anyway
With my other pregnancies symptoms onlys started at around week 7, with the exhaustion and nausea lasting until week 13.
Hello to everyone who has joined

Jojay · 29/02/2008 12:00

I don't have any symptoms either!!

With DS I'm sure I felt a bit queasy in the mornings by now, not much but enough to notice.

I'm putting it down to the fact that at this stage with DS I was on honeymoon in Bali and had all the time in the world to analyse every little blip or twinge my body had.

Now, between running round after DS, going to work, and decorating, I don't get a moment to myself!

Well, that's my theory anyway. I have done several tests to make sure I'm not going mad and they're all very definitely positive, but I just don't feel pregnant!

Heartmum2Jamie · 29/02/2008 12:25

That is true, with having 2 other children to run around after I may be missing thing that I would have put down to pregnancy last time. I just know my boobs were really sory at this atage with my last 2 pregnancies, like touch me and die kind of sore and this time, they feel almost normal. The right one is a little sore at the side, feels more like i bashed it on something.

I will have to see if i feel tired again this afternoon, I did yesterday, lol!

majormoo · 29/02/2008 20:31

evening all. I wish I had found out a bit later really but could not resist testing. 4+4 is so early to know with so many weeks to get through.
I am just feeling shattered, but that is pretty normal!

Heartmum2Jamie · 29/02/2008 21:07

I wish I had founf our later too Majormoo. a good friend of mine, who is due in 2 weeks didn't find out until she was 16 weeks . That's one way to do it, lol!

scully · 29/02/2008 22:53

Know what you mean, I found out with dd1 when I was about 6wks, but with my other 3 pregnancies I was between 4.5wks. But if you know you're late and you're ttc, then it makes sense to test, for me anyway, so I know to stop drinking, eating soft cheese, have my meat cooked more (I like rare steak, and living in Australia we have one or two bbq's a week )
Also true, when you already have children, you don't have time to think about your pregnancy too much, I used to forget I was pregnant with dd2 sometimes, working full time, commuting 50miles into London each way for work and having dd1 to run around after
But at least this pregnancy, I only work part time, am a 15min drive to work and will have some family around for this baby, unlike when the girls were born

mum2becks · 01/03/2008 13:36

Hi everyone, hope you are all feeling ok today??

Is anyone starting to actually feel pregnant yet? I knows it probably too early just yet, I just feel more tired by the end of the day but thats all so its hard to believe I am actually pregnant at the moment!

Hope you are all having a good weekend!!

LilChick · 01/03/2008 14:56

Hi All,

Sorry to scarper the other day and not be back on since - my migraine went full blown and I have just felt awful

As for pregnancy symptoms other than tired (I have 2 children already - I'm always tired, lol!) I have found I need the loo loads and when I go it's got real - errr - force, lol! (sorry waaay too much info!) I was joking with DH that could mean it's twins - having just got his head round a surprise third child he just went pale and was unamused

With my first I had the most terrible morning sickness by now (I had it for ages and lost sooo much weight) but with ds I had no real sickness (10 times max during the whole pregnancy whereas with DD it was 10 times a day) Fingers crossed nothing with this one yet, but that make me just worry.

Good to see lots of new faces and more mums on their third baby

Sarah x

Heartmum2Jamie · 01/03/2008 19:22

Mum2becks, I don't feel pregnant either. If it wasn't for AF being missing and another BFP this morning (), I honestly wouldn't have a clue I was pregnant.

Lilchick, sorry you haven't been feeling well. I hope this pregnancy is easy on you.

Furtively, can you please remove Majormoo from the list, she is going through an early miscarriage

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 01/03/2008 20:42

evening. Re symptoms, I've been feeling really queasy in the mornings for the last couple of days, and the extreme fatigue is starting to hit. I've got really tender/sensitive nipples which is making feeding my DD excruciatingly painful. I've also been weeing a lot.

Things didn't really kick off until around the six week mark last time though.

lilchick is one of your DCs a boy and the other a girl?

When I had my DS, I only ever felt a little nauseous first thing till I was up and about, but with my DD I was sick as a dog until 20 weeks (for my Christmas dinner at around 18 weeks, I managed one roast potato and a chunk of roast parsnip). I read somewhere that girl pregnancies are usually more sicky than boy pregnancies due to the extra female hormones. Not sure if there's any scientific proof of that, but it was certainly my experience.

trixibelle · 01/03/2008 22:13

Hello all, can I join? I'm a newbie to MN. Just got BFP today, so due 10 Nov, v early days...

NervousNameChanger · 02/03/2008 00:34

Um.....am in complete shock- got a line today!

We only decided to go for it 2 weeks ago, and it seems we're having dc2 already!

I'm guessing EDD 10th Nov

RGPargy · 02/03/2008 00:51

Congrats everyone!! I remember this time last year oh so well!

scully · 02/03/2008 05:46

Know what you mean Lilchick, I've also had what feels like an upset tummy all weekend. Feeling tired in the afternoon, otherwise no different. But having 2 children, as someone else said, I'm always tired anyway
Think I'll see my gp next week, when I'm 6wks. Definitely want more monitoring this time, so I don't find out something is wrong ats 12+1wks like I did last time
But being my 4th pregnancy, I've got quite good at asking for what I want

FurtivelyPosting · 02/03/2008 09:18

Morning all - how is everyone doing today?

Congratulations and welcome to Trixibelle and Nervous!

I'm another one who is feeling knackered all of the time. Other than that, I just get the odd wave of queasiness, a little heartburn every now and then and sore boobs (they already feel like they've got bigger). To be honest, I'm surprised (and worried, of course!) that my symptoms aren't stronger. In my previous pregnancies, I was either chucking up or constantly feeling like I was about to chuck up by now. I'm trying to be positive and think that my milder symptoms are a good thing and nothing to worry about out. After all, a friend of mine had no morning sickness at all in her pregnancy and she had a lovely little girl.

I saw my GP on Friday to get the ball rolling. Just need to phone the midwife now to arrange a booking in appointment. Might wait until later in the week to do that.

suiledonn · 02/03/2008 12:51

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well. Is anyone suffering from period-type crampy pains? I have been getting them on and off for the past few days and it is making me nervous. I am also feeling a bit nauseous in the mornings and evenings but goes away when I eat. I hope it will stay like that as I was hospitalised with hyperemesis on my first pregnancy and would love to think I wouldn't have it this time.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 02/03/2008 17:16

majormoo.

hi suiledon. I've been feeling like that on and off all day today, and like you am very nervous as I've had two MCs before. I feel all full and sloshy, like just before my period starts, and am getting the odd twinge too. I've been very emotional today as well.

Welcome to trixibelle and nervousnamechanger

LolaBella · 02/03/2008 17:56

Hi to all
I'm new to MN and still getting used to all terminology abbreviations!! Found out i was pregnant last week and due on 3rd Nov. First preg so quite scared (and excited) Chose not to tell anybody yet as worried about MC so this site is fantastic and this thread even better cause feel like i can confide at last!
Congrats too all ladies due Nov.

mum2becks · 02/03/2008 19:32

Hi everyone, welcome to everyone who is joining us, the list is getting long now!!

I have now started weeing a lot! had to get up twice in the night last night and then dd was up for the day at 6.30am!! So am very tired now as been out for mothers day today, had a lovely day but glad dd is now fast asleep and I can relax

I never had any sickness with dd (which as my 1st pregnancy did worry me at first!) but i'm hoping it will be the same this time as not looking forward to being queasy all day when looking after a toddler!!!!!

MummyAnnabella · 02/03/2008 19:53

Evening everyone. Have you all had a nice day today? Congratulations and welcome to MummyAnnabella and LolaBella; great to have you with us!

MummyAnnabella - I will also have 2 aged under 2 by the time this LO comes along. Even though it's my fourth, this will be the first time that I've had two close together (shortest age gap previously was 5 years). So I'm with you on the 'AGH!!' front!

Mum2Becks - I haven't got to that stage yet but the heartburn has kicked up a gear today plus I feel reavenous all of the time! Trying really hard to stick to sensible, healthy food (last time I succumbed to the creme eggs - it doesn't help that they're on sale again now......)

LolaBella - I know exactly what you mean. These early weeks are such a worry. If you want to ask about abbreviations or anything else for that matter, just shout out.

Nervousnamechanger - very intriguing! Will we have to wait a while longer until you reveal yourself?!

Suiledonn - the crampy pains you refer to happen in an awful lot of pregnancies. I had them last time and seem to be getting them again this time (although it's more of an ache around my pubic bone than my lower abdomen, IYSWIM). I think they're the result of your uterus and ligaments and stuff stretching already. Please don't worry. I think there would only be cause for concern if you had a lot of pain accompanied by bleeding (red not brown).

Better go now - DH has cooked dinner and, yes, I'm ravenous.....

See you all in the morning!

NervousNameChanger · 02/03/2008 20:26

Evening all!
I had no sickness with my first either- which was very much appreciated!
She did kick me to absolute death though from about 6 months.

Am feeling very tired, though thats probably a combination of running round after a toddler, and psychological tiredness
