Hi @Ldougal92 ! Congratulations on your pregnancy news!

I am 11DPO and found out two days ago that I am also pregnant! Hoping that all will go well (have had two previous miscarriages) but if it does then I will also have a July 2023 baby!

This will be my second baby, DD1 is 3 years old. How about you? X

Hey! Congratulations on your news and sending lots of positivity to you for this pregnancy.

This will be my first child. Have had 3 rounds of clomid and realised my luteal phase was too short, so this was the first month of using progesterone pessaries and it seems to have done the job - I will now need to take these for 3 months.

I have got ahead of myself and getting very excited but also very cautious as its so early on x

@Ldougal92 I'm so pleased to hear that it worked for you! Fingers and toes crossed that you have a successful pregnancy.

Yes, it is so hard to strike the right balance! We get excited and then remember our most recent loss and tell ourselves off. I was thinking that at least the first 12 weeks are in the run up to Christmas so there will be lots of distractions and festivities! X

This VERY true - I am going to get an early scan at 7 weeks I think - hopefully that will give me some reassurance! Exciting times for us :)

The more the merrier! Congratulations firstly. The anxiety isn’t something I’d expected, one minute I’m planning nursery furniture In my head and the next I’m convincing myself it’s too early to be excited. It’s so hard isn’t it!

I think I’m going to go for a 7/8 week scan to ease my brain and tell family after that.

how are you feeling? X

Hi everyone!

congratulations on your happy news! We’ve just found out with a clear blue test today. This is our first baby so quite confused on whether it counts as 3 weeks or 5 weeks pregnant? CB said 2-3 weeks but pregnancy planning app counts it as first day of last period? When does that mean we get our 12 week scans lol? New to all this and super nervous but excited!

Congratulations! So I’m pretty sure you go from first day or your last period so would be 5 weeks! I know I’m almost 4 weeks and my 3 months scan should be Christmas Eve - unlikely 😂 so you’d be the week ish before. Although I see first scans can be done between 10-14 weeks!

how are you feeling? I have a raging cold so not sure if no appetite is that or the baby and the obvious sore boobs x

@Ldougal92 I have been feeling the exact same! Every little niggle im feeling, I'm questioning too. Trying to be positive though ☺️

@Eldance123 welcome and congratulations - I should've said congratulations all on my first post but I was so shocked despite trying, I didn't! 😂 this is our first too so all new feelings ❤️

My last period started on 7/10, so I think it's earlier for me. I'm getting regular low cramps and reeeeeally sore boobs. I calculated 12 weeks the week after Xmas but I have no clue what I'm doing. Thinking of hanging on until for weeks to call the doctor. How are you all feeling at the moment? X

Morning!

Due to me needing some more progrsterone pesseries (fun!) for 3 months now that I’m pregnant (I had tablets to force my ovulation so have had a fertility treatment) - I already told my dr. Apparently mine don’t have midwives so have sent me a list of hospitals near me with their midwives and I have to call them directly which I will do next week.

I honestly don’t feel pregnant. Last night I went out for dinner and obviously was to alcohol and my friend wanted chorizo so had to pretend I didn’t like it. I guess the more times that go on it will feel more real? I’m not sure if that’s true or whether the early scan will be the time?

my last period was 2 October so I’m just a week ahead :)

Are you still doing tests? I did one yesterday but not today. I think I’m going to try and limit to once a week. Not sure if my anxiety can deal with it to be honest. X

Congratulations and welcome @Glawen and @Eldance123 !!

I took a test today (first one in 3 days) and had a lovely line progression which I was hoping for. I think I will test again Tuesday as that's when AF is due and then maybe one week after that and then stop. If I'm honest, with my last miscarriage I tested positive for weeks after I'd lost the baby so I don't place too much comfort in them.

I was thinking of calling my GP next Thursday which would be four weeks since the first day of my last period. I know with my DD1 I called them as soon as I found out and had my booking appointment with the midwife really early at 5 weeks pregnant! I found that quite a long wait between 5 weeks and the 12 week scan so I'd prefer a midwife appointment nearer 8 weeks to break it up a bit if I could. It's such a long wait isn't it!

Anxiety-wise, I am right with you! Very anxious and it's so hard to feel its real! I only really have mild cramping, no other pregnancy symptoms yet! Anyone else? X

Glawen · 30/10/2022 08:28

I'm still testing too but as you said, I don't really know how much weight to put on them. I'm going to call my GP next week too, when I've passed the 4 week mark. God yes, feels like forever to wait doesn't it. I just want to make sure everything is ok 🙏🏼 xx

I am so glad there is a gang of us because I have no one to talk to about this. I have one friend that knows as I needed help with seeing a line on my test (my boyfriend is colour blind!!) but deciding to wait for my early scan before I tell friends and family. It sounds like 7 weeks is a good time, I hear you can go at 6 but I would hate not to hear the heartbeat due to going too early and create more stress.

Are either of you feeling emotional? At the moment I am feeling completely fine. I am waiting for all these symptoms to kick in so I at least feel pregnant. Joys of finding out super early I guess. Just saw on my app I am officially 4 weeks :)

Welcome @Restingpotato! Lovely to have you with us 😊

@Ldougal92 yay for 4 weeks! I have to wait until Thursday to reach that mini milestone!

Yeah, I don't mean to put a downer on testing as some people need the reassurance buy I figure there's no point wasting my money as I know first hand that they can be positive after miscarriage.

I'm also waiting for symptoms for it to feel real!

We are talking about whether to get a private scan or not.. last time I miscarried between 10 and 11 weeks so for us we just want to work out what timing would help us feel most reassured.

I can’t really imagine how hard it must be for you with your past experience. I presume mine is just first time Mum worries. Maybe it’s something you can decide nearer the time. I seem to be pre planning everything which is probably not helpful at all!

it’s weird so I’m technically 4 weeks but I presume that’s with them assuming you ovulate around an average of day 14. But as I ovulated day 18/19 I presume I’m actually only 3 weeks. Not sure how much they take that into account?

@Ldougal92 have you used a due date calculator online? There are different ones. I use the NHS one as it asks for your cycle length and amends the due date accordingly (mine is 26 days so it predicts 2 days earlier than my app did.. I just amended the date on the app). There is another one where you can use ovulation or conception dates I think but I can't remember which they are. Google should help 😊. With my daughter I was still dated 6 days earlier at my 12 week scan xx

Sorry to hear about your MC @Butterfliesandroses hope you get a supportive midwife
@Ldougal92 at the dating scan they will measure and estimate a due date which may change from what is calculated from last missed period etc
I've moved areas since being pregnant last and it was also during covid so it'll be interesting to see how antenatal care differs this time round!

Hi hope I can join in very early around 3-4 weeks. I just knew I was pregnant as I was having food aversions, rib felt like they were expanding etc. I'm actually quite scared as I had tfmr early on in the year as I was really poorly. I'm trying to look at things positively at the moment. I feel like I've got the flu at the moment and I'm coughing so much. Hope everyone else is doing much better than me.

Hi ladies jumping in here! Congratulations to you all 🤩 I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow and excited but really anxious aswell as I had a miscarriage on the 29th august, I have one wee boy who is 19 months 🥰 how is everyone feeling?
I'm having ovary pain (they discovered a cyst on my ovary when i they scanned me for Miscarriage) and some pain in my side so I'm well freaked out! Going for a reassurance scan when I'm 7 weeks in the EPU. X

@Ldougal92 thank you. I just can't stand the cough it's awful. Think it's a bug going around.

@Daniki how are you feeling with a 19 month old and being pregnant? My little one is 20 months and I keep panicking like what is going to happen. I had a nearly 4 years age gap between my 2 kids and it's a bit less this time and a bit scary if I'm honest.
