Hi everyone.

Dare I start an October thread!?!

Anyone got a positive result for October? It’s early I know.

Got mine this morning on a FRER at 8 DPO. The line was surprisingly strong. Just feels to good to be true. 🥰 period isn’t due until Monday 25th. So very early days.

If all goes well I am due 03/10/21.

This is my first pregnancy.
Look forward to everyone sharing their journey/stories.

Yes @LJZRBB well done for daring to start! I just keep looking to see if there is one 😂. That does seem good to have got a strong line at 8DPO.

I got my BFP on a digital yesterday (14DPO) after a squinty line on Thursday morning. Think I'm due 3rd or 5th (different calculators keep telling me different things).

Second baby for me, my DD is 3.5.

LJZRBB · 23/01/2021 10:09

@Pebbleinthesand I didn’t know if it was a bit premature to start. Bit like inviting people to a party and wondering if anyone will actually show up 😂

This feels so unreal. I stupidly tested again this morning and I do not like what I saw.

Top is yesterday. Bottom is today.

I daren't test again. I've seen so many people of hear tying themselves in knots over lines or how many weeks it says on digitals.

LJZRBB · 23/01/2021 14:32

Yes I do feel I have got my knickers in a twist!!

How are you feeling ?

Ive worked my due date out to be around 4th October. I got a positive on a frer on Thursday.
All being well this will be my fourth child!

littlelionroars · 23/01/2021 19:22

Hi Ladies,

I've had a couple of positive tests over the last few days.

My due date should be 1 Oct. I have a 3 year old DS, so this will be number 2 for me.

AF is supposedly arrive tomorrow, fingers crossed she stays away :)

heidihii · 23/01/2021 19:33

Hello! Congrats all! Had my bfp yesterday at 11dpo. Due date 3rd oct I think. This is baby no. 2 I already have a daughter who is 2.5. Just praying it sticks, period would be due today

Pebbleinthesand · 23/01/2021 19:52

@LJZRBB feeling alright at the moment, just achey boobs. I didn't really get any symptoms at all with DD so hopefully morning sickness will miss me again. How about you?

Congratulations on the BFPs @jaimejelly @littlelionroars and @heidihii

LJZRBB · 23/01/2021 20:11

Hi everyone !!
Congratulations! 🥰

@Pebbleinthesand that’s good ! Is it stupid of me to say I almost want to be sick so I do not put on loads of weight? My BMI Is over 30! Blush. I have almost zero symptoms. Just mild boob pain and constipation?

Really fancied a G&T tonight 🙈

OP posts:
Pebbleinthesand · 23/01/2021 20:22

@LJZRBB I'm exactly the same with the boob pain and constipation Confused.

My bmi was over 30 with DD and although I wasn't sick, I lost my appetite a lot and would be starving, start eating my meal and then before I was half way through feel absolutely stuffed. I actually lost 1stone in my first trimester and then just gradually put it back on over the rest of my pregnancy. I weighed the same the day I went into be induced as I did the day I found out I was pregnant.

This time I'm finally at a healthy bmi and I'm desperate not to put on a lot of weight. I'm actually doing slimming world but haven't worked out how it works when you're pregnant yet. I'm hoping that will help me to control it a bit.

LJZRBB · 24/01/2021 09:41

@Pebbleinthesand I am a weight watchers member, doubt I will follow it to the letter. I just want to have 3 normal meals and lots of walks.

Did another test this morning. I am happier. I feel so normal this is so weird. I just don’t believe it.

@Pebbleinthesand that's such a good line 😍

jaimejelly · 24/01/2021 11:23

My bmi is around 32 I don't want it to cause any issues and extra checks. I like to be left alone 😅

LJZRBB · 24/01/2021 11:28

@jaimejelly I think mines 35? At least. And I’ve got a horrible medical past so I hope I am looked after excessively. I am really concerned that we won’t get all the care we should because of COVID. 😩

OP posts:
LauEli · 24/01/2021 11:30

@jaimejelly my bmi was 30 with my first and they made me consultant led. Until I saw a different mid wife who said it was ridiculous the first had chosen that path since it was even really over the threshold. Hopefully this time I won't be CL.

Baby number 2 and got my bfp on Thursday at 10dpo 😊 so due 6th October approx. First was early though so who knows

LJZRBB · 24/01/2021 11:33

@LauEli Hello!!

How more intrusive? Is being consultant led ?

OP posts:
Pebbleinthesand · 24/01/2021 12:05

@LJZRBB I think it depends on the reason. I was consultant led because of gestational diabetes and was at the diabetes clinic almost every week towards the end of my pregnancy. I also had a growth scan and was induced because of it. I was given the option of a C section too.
I have no idea if all of this was just diabetes linked or if the procedure is similar with any consultant lead.

LJZRBB · 24/01/2021 12:07

@Pebbleinthesand every week? That must have been a pain in the bum!!

OP posts:
LauEli · 24/01/2021 12:20

@LJZRBB for me it was extra scans, had to have the gtt but that came back negative. Saw the consultant a few times, but no more than 3 times on top of midwife visits.
It was actually nice to get to see him extra Smile

LJZRBB · 24/01/2021 12:42

Awww how lovely!!

You ladies are going to be my go to with silly questions. I do apologise in advance. Flowers

LauEli · 24/01/2021 15:14

@LJZRBB no question is a silly question on this journey Smile

LJZRBB · 24/01/2021 15:39

Awww fanks!!!

Do you think our booking in appointment will be over the phone!?

OP posts:
LauEli · 24/01/2021 15:56

@LJZRBB from what others have said the booking appointment is over the phone now yes and last about an hour

Pebbleinthesand · 24/01/2021 16:57

Yes every week but I didn't have any midwife appointments on top of that. My GD was quite severe and ended up going from diet control to metformin to insulin injections before it calmed down. DD was still only 7lbs though and we've both been clear from diabetes since, thank goodness.

I'm assuming appointments will be over the phone. Has anyone booked in yet? I feel like it's so early to be ringing but at the same time I'm wondering if booking in earlier will mean getting the scan date through quicker. I could do with having as much notice as possible to organise if it clashes with work and childcare for my daughter.

LJZRBB · 24/01/2021 17:27

I don’t want to tempt fate. Think I’ll do my self referral the week after next...
