Hi everyone.

Dare I start an October thread!?!

Anyone got a positive result for October? It’s early I know.

Got mine this morning on a FRER at 8 DPO. The line was surprisingly strong. Just feels to good to be true. 🥰 period isn’t due until Monday 25th. So very early days.

If all goes well I am due 03/10/21.

This is my first pregnancy.
Look forward to everyone sharing their journey/stories.

@LJZRBB - Oh fair enough. I'll look into booking it then as well. I keep saying the same thing to myself... I won't believe there's a baby until I see it and can't help but be overly anxious about everything... hopefully in the next few weeks we can start to be calmer as we rule out chemical pregnancy. I've done only two tests, the line was getting darker and I've told myself I probably won't test again ..

LJZRBB · 29/01/2021 18:36

@Jpan your right a chemical is getting more and more unlikely however I’m still checking my BBT and I’ve got a lovely FRER to use tomorrow. Last one I promise.

Emotional waves to all! Been a bit peri-menopausal of late, so didn't baulk when period didn't show last week... got a BFP on a Boots own test this morning. Am 44 so MC risk is higher yadda yadda. Then need to get through 12wk anomaly scan. Just wanted to tell and share with you for a virtual handhold. Whatever will be ♥. Not planned at all... Got 2 DS 10 & 7 x

Loren2109 · 01/02/2021 22:59

Hello and congratulations everyone ❤️

Super new here, so please forgive me for any seemingly obvious questions etc.

I’m 5w+1, estimated due date October 3rd, and my husband and I can’t decide if we’re ready to be excited yet as I’m so nervous something is going to go wrong! We have an early scan booked for Wednesday so hoping I’ll feel more settled after seeing something 🤞

LJZRBB · 02/02/2021 10:24

@sisteroutlaw @Loren2109 hi ladies.

Good luck for your scan!! Mine isn’t for 2 weeks. I don’t believe there is anything in there at the moment. But I don’t want to bring my scan forward by to much. But I am getting inpatient now.

@sisteroutlaw that’s is a lovely age gap! I understand your nervous, are you excited?

Heyy! Would love to join! Got my BFP yesterday! Smile
According to dates I’m due 15th Oct with my 2nd.
Is there anyone else expecting their 2nd I feel strangely calm this time. Last time I was a bag of nerves in comparison.

LJZRBB · 02/02/2021 17:24

@Peachee congratulations!! My digital test only showed the positive result for less than 48 hrs 😭

Peachee · 02/02/2021 18:18

@LJZRBB ohh no.. have you tried the cheapies to see how the strength of the dye is looking. Xx

sisteroutlaw · 02/02/2021 22:38

@LJZRBB thanks for the welcome and congrats @Peachee, @Loren2109 and all the other early doors positives that posted prior!

I suppose it is exciting @LJZRBB. Also seems a bit surreal being old (on paper - not at heart) and pg with 3rd. But I remember the first two felt surreal to start with too! All the what ifs on the foetus's health and my health and how it would change life if it sticks. Que sera. Hugs all x

Hello all

Hope I am ok to join your group. I am new to the board and got BFP yesterday. I did two First Response and two Clear Blue tests and all were positive. Clear Blue digital test indicated 1-2 weeks pregnant which is 3-4 weeks as per doctors.. Due date is early Oct. Super excited and nervous. This is our first, only mild symptoms so far (bloating, mild cramping and headaches). I am Obese too so slightly worried but hope all goes well.

Would love to learn tips and info from any mums about what to expect and the NHS process. So far I have done the self referral. Couple of comments referred to a private scan, can we do this next week (week 5) or should we wait longer. I wasn't aware of this option.

Peachee · 03/02/2021 00:07

Hi su! Welcome!! I think I am classed as obese too.. I have a gastric band but I’m not sure how that’s going to pan out as I had it deflated with my first due to morning sickness. I think I’m more inclined to keep it as it is this time.
You should have lots of appointments with your first and it all consists of them monitoring baby, going by scans, observations and what you tell them. You start off with a booking appointment and go through medical history, take bloods and measure and weigh you.. I also had bits advice about safer sleeping, feeding And antenatal classes in my area.. it will interesting to see how it goes with the way the world is at the moment.. it’s such a great experience.. I hope this second baby lives up to my first! The midwives who cared for me were brilliant! Where abouts are you from..

Thanks Peachee!! Hope all goes as planned for you. Good luck!

We live in London,E14. After asking in the local forum, I opted for Barkantine Birthing centre but I was told it's better to choose a hospital as it's my first one. So did the self-referral at St Thomas too. My first appointment with the birthing centre is early Mar. Can't wait to get some professional support. I hope I get a midwife who isn't judgemental about weight 😬

Zomills · 03/02/2021 05:37

Morning Ladies,

Lovely to read about u all In here so far, I'm approx 10DPO, been getting visible faint lines on the cheapies for 2 days. Decided to do a Frer test yesterday and it's a very clear Pregnant.
Af Due Sunday 🙈.... Just a waiting game to get over this part so I can be 100% sure sure, it just feels too good to be true & I'm overwhelmed.

Symptoms I've had the past week are :
Increased appetite, craving sweet foods, breathlessness, nausea, constipation, really not feeling my self, stuffy nose, fatigue, having random 2 hour naps in the day even when I try not to. Migraine for 3 days on right side of head. Windy/gas, achey legs & lower back, slight twinges in belly.

Feeling alot going on in such a short space of time probably why I'm always so tired.

Due date calculated online to be 18th October 😍
Wishing u all the very best on your journeys, il prob do another frer test on Sunday, till then il randomly test with cheapies over the next few days 🤞

Hi how is everyone feeling?
My hormones are kicking in I think and I feel a bit nervous/on edge (if that’s what it is) tonight. I was exactly the same in my last pregnancy.. feel a bit out of control. I hope you’re all doing ok..
Is anyone having an early scan?

Peachee · 03/02/2021 18:37

@Zomills have just read your post.. makes me feel slightly better that I’m not the only one feeling out of sorts xx

I am stressing because I have no symptoms except lil bit of tiredness which could be because of long work hrs.

I am considering early scan just for my peace of mind

LJZRBB · 03/02/2021 19:22

@Loren2109 did you have your scan?

@Su01 I have no symptoms to.

I have four or five tests and all are positive. Some articles I read said we won't feel any symptoms until week six. Let's see x

sandsandwiches · 03/02/2021 20:27

Hi everyone, I've been tentatively loitering between here and conception board after getting a bfp this week as still a bit in shock with AF not due til sat. I've had positive tests 3 in a row now so going to risk saying hi to everyone to distract from the next nervous waiting times!

Jpan · 03/02/2021 20:28

I'm five weeks today. I called a private clinic to get their advice on when to make an early scan appt. They suggested no sooner than 7 days because many times women might get their weeks wrong, and so if you go at 7 weeks you should be able to see something even if though you thought you were a few days ahead when you were not.

Seriously. This is taking forever. Will be the longest two weeks of my life! lol

sandsandwiches · 03/02/2021 20:30

Also hi @Peachee I recognise the name from the Feb bus and feel exactly the same. I'm hoping it's because it's so early on there's no symptoms yet but I'm sure I had sore boobs this time in last pregnancy (that was early positive too). I'm going to try and be marginally less stressed than last time by focusing on exercise, healthy eating etc will see how long I last before start poas twice a day for next week 🙈

Peachee · 03/02/2021 20:46

@Su01 honestly try not to worry (easier said than done) everyone is different. My friend had a blissful relaxing pregnancy. Almost Instagramable.. I on the other hand am a hot, nervous, mess.
I am also thinking of doing early scan at 6 weeks.. I spent the whole pregnancy last time worrying that the little button was still there.. When are you due?? Xxx

Zomills · 03/02/2021 20:57

Hope u feel better Hun, I've had a cry today just totally overwhelmed, tested again using FRER it's really happening.

I've been extremely bloated looking huge 🤷🙈..
My pants have already felt tight due to this and I've been uncomfortable all day.

Had numbness in arms and legs too, not sure what this is.

sandsandwiches · 03/02/2021 21:20

That's good signs and great test @Zomills although hope you feel a bit more comfortable soon. Double edged sword with symptoms isn't it, you want some but not too many please.

@Jpan yep it's all such a waiting game at the moment isn't it. Hope you find something good to distract you. I've not thought about scans yet but does sound like a good idea!

Thanks Peachee. Trying really hard to stay positive. Oct 7th according to Mumsnet calculator. Was due AF on 31st Jan, tested on 1st Feb and it was positive.

I will also wait another couple of weeks and go for a private scan. 12 weeks scan is booked for 24th Mar. Don't think I can wait till then.

Hope you are feeling better by the way xx
