Hi everyone.

Dare I start an October thread!?!

Anyone got a positive result for October? It’s early I know.

Got mine this morning on a FRER at 8 DPO. The line was surprisingly strong. Just feels to good to be true. 🥰 period isn’t due until Monday 25th. So very early days.

If all goes well I am due 03/10/21.

This is my first pregnancy.
Look forward to everyone sharing their journey/stories.

Welcome to the new ladies, @Squid2021 what a wonderful surprise after being told that news!

@ED81 I'm 40 and this will be my first (after successful IvF).

7 weeks today and have my early scan with IVF clinic on Friday which I can't wait for! Mild symptoms but at this stage I'm grateful for any symptoms I get!

Sunshine3008 · 25/02/2021 19:00

Hi everyone. I am 5 1/2 weeks now and still in total shock! First month trying and my partner and I are both 40 so really didn’t expect it to happen so quickly. Long way to go though.
Anyone else having really bad headaches? I usually get hormonal headaches and this is the same, but constant and can’t take my normal painkillers.

Squid2021 · 25/02/2021 20:28

Thank you @Kiza it was very unexpected!

@Sunshine3008 I got the worst migraines for about 4 weeks now they are bearable headaches and I'm only 8+2 weeks now so I'm with you, a long way to go indeed!

Hope your headaches ease!

Sunshine3008 · 25/02/2021 20:52

@Squid2021 That’s reassuring to hear that your headaches have eased off! Hopefully I will have the same experience.

QuixoticMermaid · 26/02/2021 01:44

Hi everyone and Congratulations to all the Mums to be.

I had a + test on Tuesday with a current EDD of 30th October.
I'd spent the entire weekend previous Scuba Diving 😬 so it was a bit of a shock to get a +ve test.

I had a scan yesterday but weren't able to see anything at all. This will be baby #5 and I've previously had Micro Preemie twins so was a bit worried about my risks etc but will need to wait a bit longer to repeat the Scan.

Has anyone told their older children yet?Hmm I want to tell them but so scared to at the same time. I always get Hyperemisis early on so either way they'll probably know before 10 or 12 weeks.

Hope everyone is feeling well.

mrssunshinexxx · 27/02/2021 07:44

Hi ladies congratulations to all x
I have had a BFP but really not sure if my due date is going to be late Oct or early Nov so I've joined both until I find out hope that's ok. I haven't had a period or with drawel bleed since dec as I'm breast feeding so will get a digital in a few days and see what that says

letshopethisonesticks · 03/03/2021 20:29

Hi all and congratulations!

I posted earlier in the month but have been super silent because I had bleeding and have had three weekly visits to the EPU. (I've had four MMC in the past so the first few weeks is always nerve wracking). I was preparing myself for bad news and to my surprise there was a heart beat!! Measuring dead on my expected date of 28-10.

Fingers crossed the next few weeks go well for me and everyone else.

Has a FB a group been setup yet?

Drumstick1223 · 04/03/2021 10:35

Hi everyone, can I join please. Due mid October. Dates tbc as my LMP was 26/12/2020 so I should be 9 weeks but that didn't tie in with when we dtd, private scan dated me 7+1 and seen heartbeat which ties in with when I think I ovulated (late) and also dtd.

I seen someone mentions why are breastfeeding, same here so this was a lovely little surprise. I just thought my hormones were all over the shop with breastfeeding my 14 month old.

Hope everyone is doing good.

hhussain1 · 04/03/2021 15:32

Hi everyone, i hope i can join. My due date is mid-end October. My usual cycle is 36 days. So don't sure of the exact week. I haven't had a scan yet. I think I will book a private scan as I cant wait :) It's my first I'm so excited and so happy to see so many people with a similar date/ month.

Hi everyone,
Just introducing myself. I’m 8+2 with a very big surprise baby (my others are 17,15,12 and 10) my partner also has 2 children so this is probably absolutely insane. Anyway, it’s been a massive shock and put a strain our relationship but we are in it together and looking forward to just riding the waves as they come.
I’m 40 so opting for the NIPT which is booked for when I’ll be 10+1. I feel like utter crap and can’t wait for the next couple of weeks to pass in the optimistic hope I’ll feel better.
Looking forward to chatting more as we travel this road together x

oopsydaisyyy · 05/03/2021 13:30

Heya everyone!!

Congratulations everyone
I would love to join please? I am 9+6 today and due date is 2nd of October. I have a 10 year old dd and a nearly 2 year old dd. This was a surprise pregnancy for me as i was told i may be ?pcos!! so really wasn't expecting a BFP!!

Kiza · 08/03/2021 14:50

Hi ladies, seeking a bit of reassurance. I'm 8+ 5 and have noticed a reduction in symptoms since the weekend. The sore boobs, nausea and tiredness still come on of an evening but are really slight compared to very noticeable as they were early on.
Do other people's symptoms fluctuate or remain steady? This is our first child (but 3rd pregnancy after mc)

MF1981 · 10/03/2021 11:46

Hey guys wonder if I could join? I’m due mid October after ivf treatment but will probs be early as I’m expecting twins!

Hey @Kiza 🙋🏼‍♀️

Kiza · 10/03/2021 12:44

@MF1981 hey, nice to 'see' you again 😄 how are you getting on? My symptoms have subsided a little since the weekend which I know can happen around week 9 but some worry thoughts are creeping in.
Counting down the days till our private scan on Sunday 🙏🏼

MF1981 · 10/03/2021 13:44

@Kiza yeah still battling on with the nausea. I find it’s worse some days than others. The weekend was particularly bad but the last couple of days it’s mainly just been bad in the evenings. Similar with the tiredness really. Boobs starting to feel a bit heavy sometimes but not all the time. That’s it really. Although I went out in the car yesterday and very nearly threw up - car journeys and morning sickness are not the one!

Kiza · 14/03/2021 09:00

Happy mother's to be day to you all! I'm off for a private scan at 9&half weeks today 🥰

MF1981 · 15/03/2021 18:06

How did it go @Kiza?

Kiza · 15/03/2021 19:49

@MF1981 really well, although I assumed it would be a vaginal scan (due to being 9&half weeks) but it was abdo so not as clear as the vaginal one I had at 7 weeks.
Nice and reassuring though nonetheless, my symptoms had eased last week but came back yesterday with a bit of vengeance 😄
How are you getting on?

MF1981 · 15/03/2021 19:52

That’s good! Glad it went well for you. Yeah my symptoms seemed to ease a little over the weekend too but are definitely back today. Nearly threw up during dinner 🤢

Rillischen1975 · 17/03/2021 00:18

Hi hoping I can join the thread. I’m 11 weeks today, due date 6th October. It’s been a long journey of IVF cycles to get to here, am delighted :-) it’s my first pregnancy, I’m going to be a solo Mum by choice and I’m 45.
Looking forward to getting to know you all x x x

MF1981 · 17/03/2021 07:41

Welcome @Rillischen1975 - I’m an ivf-er too!

KLH92 · 17/03/2021 22:16

Hi ladies! I have just found this thread and hoping I can join!

I am 8wks+4 today and due around 23rd October. This is my first so extremely nervous!

We had an early scan today and thankfully everything was good and I am actually measuring at 9 wks but we will see what the NHS one says.

I haven't had an major symptoms apart from sore boobs and tiredness. So I was really thankful to hear everything was okay today!

I hope all you ladies are keeping well! Smile

MF1981 · 18/03/2021 15:33

Hey @KLH92 !

MyGrassIsBrowner · 22/03/2021 14:33

Hey Ladies, hope you dont mind me joining! Firstly congrats everyone! 🥰
I'm due 9th October with my 2nd. My first is turning 1 end of the month and I definitely didn't expect to fall pregnant so quickly.
I've already had an early reassurance scan or scam as I like to call them.. £79 to be sat in a chair for 2 mins, I felt violated 🤣 but we did it as other half isn't allowed in to the 12 week scan... grrr Covid. Thankfully he's allowed into the 20 week scan so I guess all isn't bad.
Any of you 2nd timers thinking and stressing about the birth already? I had a really quick 4 hour labour with my first with pethidine and a little toot on G&A but I suffered majorly afterwards and I believe I've had a mild prolapse (specifically rectocele) it causes me no issues per se and I've had it checked by a nurse who said she wasn't concerned but I'm still not convinced.. anyway I'm kinda freaking out as I'm hoping 2nd birth wont make it worse 😟 all being well I am opting for home birth this time round which the midwives have been very supportive of so far (well the couple of times I have spoken to them on the phone) it seems that us 2nd timers are left to it til the big day lol.

Looking forward to hearing from you ladies! X
