Hi everyone.

Dare I start an October thread!?!

Anyone got a positive result for October? It’s early I know.

Got mine this morning on a FRER at 8 DPO. The line was surprisingly strong. Just feels to good to be true. 🥰 period isn’t due until Monday 25th. So very early days.

If all goes well I am due 03/10/21.

This is my first pregnancy.
Look forward to everyone sharing their journey/stories.

@AlexLeah mine is the 21st too I think, actually my sisters birthday!

Wish I could help you with advice - this is my second and I'm just as nervous as I was with my first. The thought of getting all our hopes up is really hard!

Thanks @2021WillBeGreat, I wouldn't say they're severe. My boobs are bloody huge though! Is this your first?

Tentatively joining :)

BFP today with Sue date calculated for 22nd October. This will be number two, have a little boy who's 17 months.

Experiencing cramps here two but I had them (and spotting) with my first and everything was fine.

Congrats on all the BFPs. @AlexLeah and @HotCupOfNo this is number 3 for me and I still have no idea to stave off the next few weeks anxiety! I'm trying to think of distracting activities for next week... And browsing all the October MN boards. There seems to be a few! Currently watching below deck and trying alcohol free white wine, would not recommend the latter!

@HotCupOfNo I'm also having cramps. Trying not to worry about them as I had them at this point with my other pregnancies but after losing my last one, my anxiety is creeping in.

Anyone else having hot flushes? My face will suddenly burn up and my skin is so dry and sore. I typically have oily skin so this is all new!

@HotCupOfNo I had a lot of period type pain at around 4 weeks and was convinced I will start bleeding. It had calmed down a lot since, now I am 5w 1 day.

@HotCupOfNo feeling fine actually, quite a bit of stretching feeling in my uterus ( must be a good sign??) and afternoon nausea but not too bad in fact.
Hope your cramps will ease off soon!

@2021WillBeGreat this will be my second, my daughter is nearly two but honestly if you gave me a newborn now I wouldn't have a clue what to do with it. I do remember waiting to test last time though as I didn't really feel any different and just thought my period was late, so symptoms definitely earlier this time!

I've been blowing hot and cold @imisscoffee but I'm actually recovering from covid so I don't know what's that and what's pregnancy (it's been a mad few weeks)

That does sound like a mad few weeks @HotCupOfNo the two things that make your feel really exhausted, Covid and first trimester!

I've had the odd cramp/period like pain and 5 weeks now, I think it's normal but who knows! I've forgotten about previous pregnancies too but friends have assured me when baby arrives it all comes flooding back 🤞🏽

I've just sent midwife registration form in so all feels a bit more real now.

@Doremifasol I've noticed nausea is always in the afternoon not the morning too, not sure morning sickness is very well named!

Hello fellow Octoberians! 🤔🤣 I would love to join, I got my BFP yesterday and my due date is 28th October so I just make it for this thread hehe although same as others - celebrating tentatively at this stage but also trying to be relaxed at the same time - it is a balancing act isn’t it! If little bean sticks and take after me then little bean will definitely be late lol as I am one of those annoying people who can’t be on time for anything! Lots of virtual celebration hugs to you all! I am shocked as it is 1st month TTC so in my head was prepared to be trying for a lot longer! Very sensitive boobs, cramps and feeling bloated right now! Xxx ❤️

Jan was our first month it TTC as well and we prepared ourselves to not get excited or stressed and try for a few months. We were excited but kind of terrified when I got BFP. No symptoms though, went for early scan today. All good except that I not 6+ weeks as predicted by pregnancy apps. 4-5 weeks 😊

I am currently 8 weeks today with my first baby. I found out I was pregnant on the 2nd Feb, the day after my birthday! What a gift! After being told that I couldn't have children naturally and I would have to go through IVF 3 weeks prior!

My DD is 5.10.21. I am super excited, but also nervous/ anxious and the do's and dots and all the information there is to read!
