Can't believe it. Just got my BFP today and by my reckoning baby should be due 1st July.
Is there anyone else out there?

Wish I could join you

mrsclairet · 23/10/2007 22:46

Hi, I got a BFP on monday, wasn't sure whether to believe it as my AF was not due until Wed but it was a good strong line and I did another test today and that was positive too. Even though it was planned we have only been trying since end of august and I can't believe it has happened so quickly. I'm dying to tell people but it's way too early yet.

According to the books my baby will be due on 3rd July. I went to the doctors today and she didn't really say much, mainly just to book in for my 1st antenatal check in a few weeks. I am so excited!!!

Verso · 23/10/2007 22:48

Me too! Due 2nd July - by ovulation date note LMP. Faint line but it was there!

Verso · 23/10/2007 22:49

"not" not "note" lol

spookykitty · 23/10/2007 22:50

hey ladylush fancy seeing you here

maybe just maybe I will be able to join you will know next week

can't believe theres a Due in July thread already

mrsclairet · 23/10/2007 22:51

How are you feeling Verso? Have you got any plans on when you're going to tell people?

Verso · 23/10/2007 22:56

Still a bit unsure whether to get excited (though I am really!) because I had a missed m/c earlier this year - found out at the 12 week scan. My GP said if we tried again that he would recommend an early scan, so we'll probably tell people once we've seen a heartbeat.

How are you? Is this your first? It is VERY exciting!

mrsclairet · 23/10/2007 23:03

Hi, yes, this is my first and I'm really happy, my sister has got a 4 month old and she is absolutely gorgeous. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I can't imagine how difficult that must be. It's hard to know what to do because I know my mum and my sister are going to be so happy when they find out but it is still SO early. I'm going to stay with my mum for a few days though and I just don't think I'm going to be able to kep it from her.

libralady · 24/10/2007 07:15

Morning ladies,
Glad some others have joined me. Depending on which chart I look at my baby could be due between 30th June and 3rd July.
Let's hope we have some other graduates soon.

Hi all,

I got a BFP yesterday and confirmed with a digital today - I'm the same as you libralady my EDD could be 30th June onwards. This is my 1st baby and have been ttc since August 2006 so it has been a long time coming. I can't believe it I'm so happy but scared at the same time.

Congrats to you all

mrsclairet · 24/10/2007 17:12

Hi, I told my mum and sister today (Blush) because I was supposed to go up to see them but they both have a horrible sickness bug and my husband didn't want me to go incase I got it. They sounded so pleased, I just really hope nothing goes wrong now. I'm feeling a bit scared now.

Mossy · 24/10/2007 18:35

Ladies, sorry to interrupt... and congratulations to you on your BFPs! If it's not too early, and if any of you are in Merseyside and thinking about breastfeeding, please click here

If you can get your head out of the toilet for that long that is [sympathetic emoticon]

Gracie14 · 24/10/2007 19:43

mrsclairet - I'm afraid I couldn't hold it in either and told my mum this morning that she was hopefully going to be a nanny - she nearly choked on her tea but very happy I think its only natural to want to tell people closest to you

libralady · 24/10/2007 20:01

Just thought I'd let you know my experience at Drs this am as I've read on June's thread that some have seemed depleted after the appointment.
Only tested on Saturday and got a vv faint line at CD 25. Got a BFP on Monday at CD 27.
Phoned Drs this morning 8:15 and just asked for appointment. Was given an appt @ 8.55 with a locum. Very pleasant young girl (not meaning to sound patronising) and said I think I'm pregnant!
Congratulations, how far long do you think you are?
Just over 4 weeks.
Well then, the first thing you need to do is book an appt with MW who arrange bloods and 12 week scan.
When do you want me to see her.
Monday.
Gave me load of info re tests available due to my age and stated I may be classed as a high risk pgy due to my medical history (bad sciatica, prolapsed discs, recent spinal surgery etc) but said I would get better info from MW when I see her.
Asked about the fact that I'd tested so early and got a + and enquired about twins. Said it could be a possibility but will show up on scan. Even asked if I had a problem if it turned about to be twins.
Talk about a professional and courteous and informative consultation. I was so impressed and left feeling quite elated.
Just one problem, booked my MW appt on Monday (2.15pm) and as I was leaving MIL and FIL were coming into the surgery. Asked what I was doing there and tried to skirt around the question but asking why they were there. Just said I had appt with Dr, and MIL looked v suspiciously at me. DH and I have decided not to tell anyone until Christmas and hopefully we can put a picture of the scan in their and my parents Christmas Cards. Have warned DH and he said if they ask, just say you went up there with women's problems and hopefully they won't ask any further. My MIL is NOT stupid and is as sharp as a tac @ 83!
