So I don’t really know what I’m doing but trying to keep the bus moving after our BFPs. Don’t know about everyone else but I feel very anxious and worried about the whole thing. I really want to be happy and celebrate but can’t just yet

They did call back after I left a voicemail. Slightly put out she assumed I was white British and had a husband... but 12 week scan all booked now. Apparently my details had been lost so glad I chased.

Ziggystarduck · 01/07/2020 11:17

@Shropsmum we are due date buds! Mine in 28th feb! 👋
Sorry everyone is suffering so much, Ive not really had any nausea yet so I'm starting to worry a little. The last few days the tiredness has really let up, so I'm feeling quite good. Some symptoms are dissapearing and others are starting up so not sure what to think really. I had some spotting, and panic called 111 who reassured me that it was quite normal, but said to ask my gp for a scan around 6-7 weeks. Ive got a private scan booked and paid for anyway so just going to do that one. Feels like a long wait, especially as i have a very tiny but of spotting every day. anyone else had any?
Omg so happy im not the only thirsty one! Ive always had a problem with drinking too much water my whole life, and still feeling thirsty. I can very very highly recomend a product called elete, its electrolyte drops you can add to whatever youre drinking, so you can have sports drink level hydration without all thr sugar and colourings. Its just made from seawater so has no nasties 👍
Anyone else with sciatica randomly starting?!

OnNaturesCourse · 01/07/2020 11:33

With the thirst thing does anyone have days were they feel like they've not managed to drink enough, and end up with a faster heartbeat and tiredness? It's like a catch 22 cos you just want to sleep but that makes you more dehydrated.

Ziggystarduck · 01/07/2020 18:26

@OnNaturesCourse yes lots of strange heart feelings. They've eased now but I had some days where it felt like my heart was going to pound its way out of my chest. Sometimes i was so tired but couldnt sleep because of the palpitations, even the sound was so loud in my ear!

DaffodilsAndDandelions · 01/07/2020 19:36

Hmm my symptoms are changing now. Less nausea but still not really ever hungry. First I know about it us feeling a bit waffy. But eugh dies my mouth taste awful. I'm eating mints like you wouldn't believe but constantly have that sort of un brushed teeth the morning after the night before taste. 🦷 cleaning my teeth only helps temporarily.

@Pogmella glad you've got a scan date. Can't believe they lost your details though and mixed you up with someone else. Hope their organisation improves!

Pogmella · 01/07/2020 22:44

Thanks @DaffodilsAndDandelions :) She didn’t mix me up, she just assumed everyone would be white and married.

My mouth is also gross! I’ve been using mouthwash in between brushing.

J0DI3 · 02/07/2020 07:33

@Ziggystarduck I had spotting yesterday and just went into complete meltdown. It was brown so not bright red but I can’t get a scan due to COVID as I’m not classed as high risk and I can’t find a private scan anywhere for about a week. The midwife I spoke to said my only option was to test in a week to be sure to get a definitive answer ☹️

Sydgal22 · 02/07/2020 12:54

@Ziggystarduck @J0DI3 so sorry to hear about both of you :( has the spotting eased at all? I’ve had some period like cramps today again which is scary :(. My boobs are also crazzzy painful I’m exhausted, nauseous and even threw up a bit unexpectedly today. Have gone off a lot of food and have just been having snacky bits throughout the day but was then ravenous this evening. 11th July can’t come soon enough until I can hopefully see little bubs heart beat ❤️
Hope all you ladies are doing ok, it’s tough but nice to know we’re not alone!

J0DI3 · 02/07/2020 12:59

@Sydgal22 I’m still having the light spotting and making sure I have a pad in so I can monitor. I managed to find a private clinic with an appointment on Sunday so just hanging on until then. The midwife I spoke to said I could be experiencing a haematoma which isn’t anything to worry about but they wouldn’t check me out due to COVID. Just praying this little bubs hangs on in there. I’m checking my boobs still ache every 5 minutes and it’s sending me crazy!

Sorry to hear you’re having horrible sickness. Not long until 11th July and you get to see bubs ❤️

Ziggystarduck · 02/07/2020 19:55

@sydgal22 we have the same scan day! Fingers crossed 🤞 for us!
My sporting started on Saturday, one small streak in my mucus. Then a bit of slightly pink mucus later on. Its been exactly the same, just one streak a day for 5 days, until today, and nothing!
Ive been doing cheapy tests everyday and the line is staying strong and dark which is reassuring.
Ive found it helpful when I'm anxious to put tomorrow, next week etc out of my head and just be super happy that im pregnant today. To also think about how proud i am that my body has gotten me this far makes me feel very positive.
This website datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer is also great, it tells you the mc odds in a lot of detail, per day. So each day i check it the odds are going down and down, which is again quite reassuring

Ziggystarduck · 02/07/2020 20:11

Oh haha no spotting today, but just blew my nose and what came out looked exactly the same! Its swapped ends!! 😂

J0DI3 · 02/07/2020 20:31

@Ziggystarduck your last message made me laugh out loud 😂 Thanks for the little reassurance tool that’s going to get a lot of use from me I think! I did the things the professionals tell you not to do which was panic and google so have decided that will stop now and I’ll just be chill xx

Sydgal22 · 02/07/2020 23:29

@Ziggystarduck @J0DI3 wow that calculator tool is awesome thank you for that! Positive mental attitude is all we can do right. I love the thoughts of being thankful for being pregnant today, our bodies have been amazing to even get us this far. Fingers crossed for us all. I’m hoping today is a less nauseous day so I can get some work done. So so thankful to be working from home!!

Runnergirl1 · 03/07/2020 14:32

So ladies having a hard time atm. Not sure if I’m still on this journey or not. Yesterday I went for a private scan - I should of been 8+1 but doing the scan I’m only measuring 6 weeks and they couldn’t detect a heartbeat so I’m now in limbo and have to wait another 2weeks to have another scan to see if it’s just wrong dates or a missed miscarriage. I’ve had no symptoms of miscarriage I.e. no severe pains, no bleeding nothing. But my pregnancy symptoms haven’t been massive either tender boobs, bloating and frequent need for the toilet. I don’t know what I’m suppose to do now other than wait. This is going to be the hardest two weeks of my life x

OnNaturesCourse · 03/07/2020 14:54

@RunnerGirl - that's got to be so tough 😔 do you think you could have your dates wrong? Another thing to consider.. Do you have a tilted uterus as that can effect early scans and dating?

Big hugs to you.

I have another scan today - last weeks one showed baby at 6+3 when it should have been 6+6 so hoping to see some growth today / get better measurements on a internal scan (got a tummy scan last time)

Runnergirl1 · 03/07/2020 15:05

@OnNaturesCourse - no I don’t think it would be two weeks out but even if it’s a missed miscarriage I thought I would have expelled it by now. It think I may have yes I had to put my hands under my hips so she could see better but mine too was an internal scan. It’s so hard me and my partner deal with things in different ways and it’s already hard

Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

Did they advise the 2 week wait between scans, I'd have thought a week would be enough. Could you call the EPU and tell them what's going on, they may get you in to do some bloods etc.

Runnergirl1 · 03/07/2020 15:27

Yeah apparently that’s what the guidelines suggest. I rang midwife and they just said that’s what they advice. I though blood tests would tell me if hcg is going up or down but wasn’t offered them she just said to hang on 🤦🏼‍♀️ Which is easier said than done x

DAC21 · 03/07/2020 15:46

Oh Runnergirl, what a worry! Cannot believe they are making you wait 2 weeks. Hope things will be okay. Sending you hugs!

OnNaturesCourse · 03/07/2020 17:26

Well before going for my scan today I've started spotting again 😔 scan is later this evening but I'm cramping and it's building so goodness knows what's happening.

I heard that spotting and bleeding can happen around 4 and 8 weeks, has anyone heard this?

Runnergirl1 · 03/07/2020 17:48

@OnNaturesCourse hopefully all will be well when you have your scan. Sending lots of love your way x

J0DI3 · 03/07/2020 19:04

@OnNaturesCourse I’ve been spotting for the last 3 days. First day was the worst and today is as little as discharge. I have a scan Sunday to check all is okay and bricking it.

@Runnergirl1 sending hugs! The midwife I spoke to basically told me (after me panicking about bleeding) to test in a week to see if I’m still pregnant. I think they’re so desensitised to it they don’t realise how blunt they are. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

teachmehow14 · 04/07/2020 17:55

Hi ladies, wanted to join this thread as I have an estimated due date of 27th feb. I’m roughly 6weeks+1 and the nausea kicked in badly yesterday at 6 weeks on the dot. I feel so rough Confused I have no idea how I’m going to get through the next 6+ weeks. I’ve got an early scan booked in for the 18th July, can’t wait really as I just want to go and make sure everything is okay!

Sydgal22 · 04/07/2020 23:53

@teachmehow14 welcome! We’re due date buddies! And the nauseousness has really kicked in for me too over the last couple of days. I’m hoping it doesn’t get worse/last two long. I’ve also been so so tired and my boobs are excruciating!

J0DI3 · 05/07/2020 17:54

Hi ladies, had some good news at the scan today. Baby is fine and measuring at 6 weeks so I’m a week out which means bubs is due 28/02/2021 so thankfully not a leap year! Didn’t hear the heartbeat but we saw it and that was enough. It was confirmed that my spotting has been caused by a small hemorrhage which should be okay as long as I don’t get any heavy bleeding. Feeling relief and reassurance. Sending love to anyone feeling the same or awaiting a scan ❤️
