@emma278 it’s so sad thinking of the missed holidays isn’t it! We were meant to go to Tenerife in March - literally the week jet2 turned their flights around in the air and grounded everyone!

@Lilice - no! I think this is weirdly one of the bits OH is intrigued by though. Mine has definitely changed but not popped out quite yet.

@Franny0696 you poor thing! Definitely try to nap if you need it though. I’m not too bad at the moment but by the end of the working week I’m ready to sleep the whole weekend!

WillowT · 25/05/2020 19:43

@Franny0696 Yes!! So glad not just me...I have never napped before but now I do!

@lilice not yet!

ShiningStarz · 25/05/2020 19:54

Nope @Lilice I read somewhere that it can happen around 26 weeks.
I'm prone to stretch marks but haven't got any yet around my stomach. Anyone else noticed any? I do have the linea nigra line

Franny0696 · 25/05/2020 19:54

@WillowT & @Sara7455 literally cannot stop napping even for an hour or so! not sure if it's because I'm getting up at least 4 times in the night for a wee...

Sara7455 · 25/05/2020 20:25

@Franny0696 that could be it. I’m luckily only getting up the once in the night at the moment but I’m ready for bed at about half 8, 9 at a push, regardless

Lilice · 25/05/2020 21:19

@Franny0696 i feel so tired in the afternoon, usually after lunch, and end up having a micro nap of 10 or 20 minutesmax. I have to be careful not to sleep during the day because I have a history of insomnia. Last night I couldn't even fall asleep and finally did at 5 am 😩 but still got up at 9 otherwise it becomes a vicious circle. Aargh I wish sleep was easier for me!
@ShiningStarz no strechmarks so far 🤞. I'm using a lot of bio oil as otherwise my bump gets itchy. I did ring the gp about that and she said it's normal 🤔
I wish I had a linea nigra, it's so cute!

Lazydaisydaydream · 25/05/2020 22:29

My belly button is popping out a bit. And no Linea negra yet. So different to when I was pregnant with my son, had a line really early on and my belly button never popped! I use bio oil, didn't get any stretch marks last time but honestly think it's probably just genetics?

pangolin84 · 25/05/2020 22:31

I’m also using bio-oil. Still hardly any bump though so it’s mainly because I like the smell and it’s nice to rub my belly 😂
I usually end up having a little nap at lunchtime. I’ve started waking up at odd times in the night for no apparent reason so I do get a bit tired in the day.

Lazydaisydaydream · 25/05/2020 22:48

has anyone started leaking colostrum yet? I think it was around this point (26 weeks ish) last time but don't have any sign yet.

I have a nap every single day... I've always loved to nap so ever since I had my son Ive napped along with him. Not sure what I'm going to do when this baby is born and i can no longer nap because there's two of them to look after Confused

Roxy8203 · 25/05/2020 23:31

@Lazydaisydaydream I have started leaking but only at night and only one side

ShiningStarz · 26/05/2020 07:53

Morning !! I woke at 6 and checked stock of the pram as usual and it's back in stock!! So I ordered the bugaboo fox 2 with the maxi cosi pebble pro I size with the base and got 10% off with natural baby shower! Saved about £143 so chuffed with that! That's all the big items bought now!!

@Franny0696 yup by about 3/4 my day is done!! Can't work anymore, brain is mush!! I go for walk though to try and keep myself from dozing off.. however I'v been known to go for a 20 min nap and end up having a full hrs deep sleep!! Xx

HugeAgeGap · 26/05/2020 12:11

@ShiningStarz sounds like a good deal done there!!

do you know the key differences with Fox and Fox2???

I can't make up my mind between Fox and Joolz Day3, and now even more confused with Fox2? When did Fox2 come out?!? x

emma278 · 26/05/2020 14:13

Is anyone having 25 week appointments? I seem to have been booked straight to 28 weeks x

OrDis · 26/05/2020 14:25

@emma278, I rang the community midwife to book a 25 week one as I hadnt heard anything and they said no, only 28 weeks now, and the midwife should be in touch about it. I’m only 23+2 so if I havent heard from the midwife by 25 weeks i’ll ring again to try and book the 28 week appt! It’s frustrating!

HugeAgeGap · 26/05/2020 14:26

@emma278 I'm having a 25w appt face to face next week. This is my second baby though, so presumed I'd go straight to a 28w appt which I think is the norm after your first, however my glucose was high in the last one so I wonder if they booked the 25w to check that x

pangolin84 · 26/05/2020 14:31

At my 16 week telephone appointment the midwife booked my 25 week one in and said it would be on the phone again, which is just the same as not having one to be honest. I’ve realised I won’t be able to get my mat 1b form though! What have you all done about getting your forms? I don’t want to be denied my maternity leave!

HugeAgeGap · 26/05/2020 15:08

@pangolin84 others have mentioned this. Some have got from GP and others have phoned midwife to arrange for it to be done for them to pop in and collect from the GP or surgery or reception of wherever they are based. I would just phone and request it, separately to any of your appointments x

pangolin84 · 26/05/2020 16:09

@HugeAgeGap Ah thanks! I must have missed that part of the thread.

OrDis · 26/05/2020 16:12

Anyone else SO HUNGRY!!!! I feel like i’m starving all the time! Problem is I can’t decide what exactly it is that my body wants, so I eat something and it doesn't make any difference. What are you all snacking on?

Sara7455 · 26/05/2020 16:13

@emma278 I had my 25week in person last week, not sure I was actually meant to as she made a comment about them doing fewer appointments at the moment but my BP was up when she checked so good thing we had it really. Here we call the GP and book in with the receptionist that we want to see the midwife and she didn’t have any follow up questions about how many weeks I was etc so not sure if I snuck in under the radar.

@pangolin84 have you spoken to your HR dept about when they expect to get it? When I originally spoke to mine they mentioned 20weeks and I panicked I wouldn’t have it that early - they were fine and said basically as long as they get it before I actually go on leave then it’s fine to get at 28week appointment (for example) if that’s easier.

Flutterbunny · 26/05/2020 16:21

@OrDis - I am also starving all the time! I am eating terribly as a result because I just crave ALL the junk food, crisps, chips, pizza you name it. I also seem to have a constant craving for ice cream but I don’t know if that’s just the weather. I’m trying to eat fruit and veg in between my meals and making smoothies with my nutribullet to get in some goodness but I’m feeling pretty guilty that baby is getting much in the way of nutrients!

emma278 · 26/05/2020 16:45

@Flutterbunny am exactly the same all i want it cake and biscuits. Taking vitamins to top it up but its so hard. Ive gone right off veg it tastes awful to me now. Salad is fine so im topping up on that. Xx

ShiningStarz · 26/05/2020 16:53

@HugeAgeGap I can't remember exact differences, there's a video on the bugaboo fox 2 which compares it to the fox on the bugaboo website x

ShiningStarz · 26/05/2020 16:55

@pangolin84 I got mat b1 from my GP, they just asked for the due date and I collected it the next day.

WillowT · 26/05/2020 17:03

@pangolin84 I got mine at my 20 week scan...there were signs everywhere to pick it up but looks like every area is different so call midwife/gp to get yours and just update HR of situation

@emma278 I've gone off veg too, fortunately salad is not a problem so salad with everything at the mo. I am boredom baking which is not helping so I'm trying not to buy anything bad to try and cut down!

Has anyone had any weird cravings?!
