So sorry about your baby @Blizy - relieved that you feel comfortable with your care this time around. What do they have in place for you?

@APD1981 yeah my mum was told she was high risk when she was 35 due to her age! So not surprised you thought you would be too, I guess they have changed that though

@chocolate26 good luck with today, let us know how you get on. Have you a preference or an idea of what to expect?

@UKtoSK yeah I can see mine! its only just ever so slightly higher than my hip bones. It is funny how long that time seems to go when pregnant but once the babies are here the weeks go so quick!

@Pegase good luck with getting a section - I know we all have the right to choose one but, going from other MNers stories, they seem to make it so difficult for us to actually argue for one!

Yeah I am high risk. Last two births happened prematurely and we all had sepsis - DS1 survived thankfully but DS2 died. Things seems extra rocky this time round too as I have a slightly detached placenta which is causing a lot of bleeding and cramping. Currently on bed rest for foreseeable future.

Hey ladies hope you had a lovely Xmas break! It's quite difficult having to get up a lot earlier and log on work even though I work from home today..
I just had my 16w scan this morning and found out that it's a boy 👦🏻! Can't be happier !
I had two mcs before this pregnancy and was high risk until 10wk scan doctor said he's happy to say I'm finally low risk.

16+1 today

APD1981 · 30/12/2019 11:06

@umabb congratulations! Another boy on this thread! Has anyone found out they're having a girl yet? I'm not finding out but I think I'm having a boy. So does all my family!

So sorry to hear about your losses @Blizy and @Twittlebee. I can't imagine how horrific that must've been and how stressful it must be going through pregnancy again x Flowers

Blizy · 30/12/2019 12:37

Twittlebee I'm sorry to hear about little boy. Your pregnancy sounds very tough right now, I'm hear if you need to chat.

I'll be having scans every 4 weeks (more if I need it physically and mentally) and I'll
Be seeing my community midwife every 2 weeks and the consultants the alternating 2 weeks. I'm having an elcs at 38 weeks and have open access to maternity mental health team. I'm happy with this.
How are you coping with pregnancy so far? It's such a minefield even more so after losing your baby.

MissisBee · 30/12/2019 14:37

Hi.
I guess I'm high risk too. Had pre-eclampsia last time and DS was born at 33+6. I'm on aspirin this time and will be seen at the consultant clinic from 26 weeks. As I get further on, I'm more nervous about it recurring, although my BP has behaving so far.
15+5

hjbows88 · 30/12/2019 15:34

I’m currently classed as higher risk but that is solely based on my mother having pre eclampsia and this being my first pregnancy. I’ve been on aspirin since week 12 and see consultant in a few weeks where I expect I’ll be discharged due to no other (known) risk factors, but we shall see!

HayleyD84 · 31/12/2019 01:35

Hi all, mind if I join, I'm 16+2 due 14th June
Another 4 weeks away until 20 week scan, time is going so slowly be nice to chat to people in similar positions xx

AmyMaria2 · 31/12/2019 03:31

@umabb congratulations! Another boy muma 💙 I feel like everyone's having boys at the moment!

I'm high risk due to fertility issues before conceiving, I'm seeing a consultant 23rd jan and if all's ok I won't be high risk anymore.

17+6 x

umabb · 31/12/2019 08:23

@AmyMaria2 thanks! Xx yes it's a boy thread here indeed ! Most of my friends have daughters I'm quite happy to add some blue colour to the party hehe.

@HayleyD84 welcome to the group! I'm 16+2 today too! I just did my 16w scan yesterday and the 20w is Feb 5th

umabb · 31/12/2019 08:24

@AmyMaria2 just noticed your were up really early today again. How are you ? Hope the pain is better now x

SearchingTheSkies · 31/12/2019 16:46

Welcome @HayleyD84 and congratulations! I agree about time going slowly.

@newbyxx I've had a mix of achy pains and sharp pains throughout and I've found them quite reassuring that something's actually happening. This week I've not had any pain which I've found a bit disconcerting. Hopefully nothing to worry about though.

@Pegase my bump is also mostly flab. I seem to be way more bloated than normal and can look quite pregnant during some parts of the day. Christmas eating hasn't helped!

@Blizy and @Twittlebee I'm so sorry about your babies x I hope you are feeling well supported in your pregnancies so far.

@umabb congrats on your boy! I don't know what I'm having yet but have a feeling it's a boy, too.

I'm from Somerset. I'm high risk due to asthma but will probably be discharged after I see the consultant in Jan.

Hope everyone has a lovely New Year's Eve!

Blizy · 31/12/2019 17:26

I've just had my screening results, I have a 1:6 chance of downs. My stillborn dd has ds, I'm now terrified of history repeating itself. We are booking Ian NIPT test.

APD1981 · 31/12/2019 17:42

@Blizy I'm so sorry to hear you've had those results. Fingers crossed they do the tests and everything comes back clear. Sending love x

Blizy · 31/12/2019 18:09

Thank you,
I've a harmony test booked in for Saturday.

Twittlebee · 31/12/2019 18:13

Oh @Blizy I am so sorry that you have this very real worry of history repeating, especially so with those results. Hope those NIPT results come back real soon after saturday, did they say how long?

Shall catch up properly in the New Year. Wishing you all the best. Here is to hope in 2020 x

Larrydavid · 01/01/2020 02:30

@HayleyD84 I'm also due on the 14th June! Welcome

AmyMaria2 · 01/01/2020 02:37

@Blizy so sorry to hear your results, really hope your harmony test comes back with better results. ❤️

Happy new year everyone. Can't believe we are all going to have our babies this year😍 x

Happy New Year all!

I hope the rest of our pregnancies are uneventful and those waiting for test results have positive ones!

hjbows88 · 01/01/2020 08:45

Happy New Year to you all and wishing us all healthy pregnancies.

I get the odd twinge and get sharp pain when I sneeze sometimes but not had any consistent pain or cramping.

Anyone else still getting headaches? I get them on and off. Boobs also still hurt sometimes, this also comes and goes, as does discharge (have it every day but the amount fluctuates).

Hoping those waiting for results get positive news, I can’t imagine how worried you must be at the moment. Sending lots of love xx

Happy new year ladies! Hope we will have a smooth journey for the rest of our pregnancies ! SmileThanks good luck with the test result hopefully it will clear things and will work out fine!

chocolate26 · 01/01/2020 10:10

Happy new year everyone 😃🥳

@hjbows88 yes I'm still getting headaches! Not everyday but when I get them they are really bad. I try really hard not to take paracetamol but sometimes I have to when it gets really bad. I'm 15+4 too 😊

Smiffette · 01/01/2020 11:02

@chocolate26 I get headaches on off too, and like you try not to take paracetamol but when they are really bad I just have too.

AmyMaria2 · 01/01/2020 14:02

@hjbows88 I've had really bad headaches, almost everyday, I spoke to my midwife about how much paracetamol I had to take but she said it was fine. I try my hardest not to take any. They checked for protein in my urine as they thought headaches could be a sign of something more serious but everything looks ok so far 🤞 x

Larrydavid · 01/01/2020 16:17

@hjbows88 I get headaches a lot at the moment. I've bought tiger balm and 4head that helps a bit

newbyxx · 01/01/2020 16:57

Happy new year 😊, let's hope we all have healthy and problem free pregnancies, 2020 the year we meet our babies ❤️
