I'm also having the same problem at night with sleeping! I keep waking up uncomfortable. I bought a pregnancy pillow a couple of weeks ago but I don't think it's really helping at the moment... I woke up on my back with the pillow on top of me 🙄

APD1981 · 06/01/2020 11:37

I've just called into Aldi and they're having a baby event from this Thursday (9th Jan). I picked up a catalogue thingy and there's some really good bargains in there, included branded things like Tommy Tippee products. I'm going to go on Thursday and have a look x

chocolate26 · 06/01/2020 12:08

@APD1981 that's good! I think I will pop in and have a look too 😊 they do some good deals in there on baby stuff, I've always looked before but now I have a reason to buy 😃

LillianFullStop · 06/01/2020 12:34

I am feeling movement and kicks now too - but not yet from outside so DH can't feel it yet. It's so nice isn't it? Bump has also moved up up to my waist now and not just the lower abdomen anymore so definitely can't hide much longer!

I can't wait to feel movements 16+ 2 today when did people start?

AmyMaria2 · 06/01/2020 13:08

@APD1981 thank you, I'll have a look in Aldi as well!
Haven't got my 20 weeks scan letter yet and haven't felt any movement at all yet, hoping it's just because of anterior placenta. 😬

The NHS guidance is definitively to sleep on your side from 28 weeks only. Obviously no bad thing to get used to it now but there are no studies proving risk in first or second trimesters.

RPPs · 06/01/2020 13:49

Ahhh Im so glad you are beginning to feel movement too. Its the most amazing feeling isnt it. I'm feeling it mostly on the left side. What about you?
I had an internal on Friday to examine the length of my cervix after a loop procedure. When they put the probe it we could see the Baby's head immediately. So Baby is head down which would make sense as the kicks.

@umabb I ordered this one "Pharmedoc Pregnancy Pillow, U-Shape Full Body Pillow and Maternity Support with Detachable Extension - Support for Back, Hips, Legs, Belly for Pregnant Women" because it is got 5 stars from 4500 people. Its huge though. Not sure were DH will sleep Wink

mrssunshinexxx · 06/01/2020 14:48

Has anyone got there mat1b form or know where to get them? X

Twittlebee · 06/01/2020 15:05

So it was my MW who gave me mine last time @mrssunshinexxx at my 16 week app so I assume it will be same again this time?

Yes to feeling the baby movements, love it when you can start feeling them. Its certainly giving me reassurance inbetween the scans.

Feeling so hormonal today. Feels like my chest is gonna burst.

Smiffette · 06/01/2020 15:05

InhVent felt any movements yet either, but seen her wiggling on the scan!
I also have an anterior placenta which is cushioning they moments I imagine.

18 weeks

Smiffette · 06/01/2020 15:06

@mrssunshinexxx your MW will give you this but not until 26 weeks usually

Smiffette · 06/01/2020 15:07

@Twittlebee sorry didn't see your response! My MW did say it wouldn't be until 26weeks so maybe it differs depending where you are

newbyxx · 06/01/2020 15:15

Aww wish I could feel little man! But I've had no movements as of yet! Would be more reassuring to feel him.

Twittlebee · 06/01/2020 15:18

It could very well have changed too @Smiffette !

APD1981 · 06/01/2020 15:24

Re MatB1 my midwife said you can get it at 20 weeks scan or she'll give it to me at my 26 week appt.

I've just phoned my hospital because midwife said before Christmas I could try getting booked on the free NHS courses early because they get really booked up if you leave it. I'm so happy that I've got a place in the parent craft class and also the course of hypnobirthing classes! They're not til April and I only managed to get on the hypnobirthing one because there'd just been a cancellation. I was considering paying for classes but now I don't have to. So happy!

Twittlebee · 06/01/2020 15:35

@APD1981 what a result!

I've booked onto a day course, thought it might be beneficial to have a revision and they did say they tailor the class so hoping theyll talk about ERCS, NICU life etc a bit too

chocolate26 · 06/01/2020 15:55

I've not really felt any movements yet! I'm 16+2, well sometimes I think I can feel something but not sure. I had my midwife appointment today and all was good 😊 all bloods from booking appointment were fine. I got to hear baby's heartbeat so that was amazing! The Doppler was a bit dodgy though so it kept cutting out half way through so we couldn't get the bpm but hearing it was nice and she said it sounded good 😃

Blizy · 06/01/2020 16:31

I've been feeling movement since last week, I'm only 14+5 but it's my 3rd pregnancy.

hjbows88 · 06/01/2020 16:46

I think I am just (last day or two) starting to feel 'activity' on one side or the other (varies, last night was on the right side, today on the left and slightly higher up) but as this is my first pregnancy I can't be sure and keep doubting what I am feeling/thinking it must be something else. But it feels different to gas or tummy rumblings, definitely a different sensation so thinking it must be baby related?!

APD1981 · 06/01/2020 16:51

I'm sat here now with lots of little kicks! Always around the bottom right of my belly button. I have felt it so much today. It's just lovely ❤️

Lemonysherbet · 06/01/2020 18:31

@mrssunshinexxx I got told 20 weeks for the matb1. Looking forward to getting getting my mat leave date sorted!

I think I can feel movements. It's my first baby so I doubt myself too @hjbows88 . I would describe mine as someone rubbing their knuckles under my skin. Sounds bizarre I know 🤣

Had a bit of an accident today and fell over on my way to work. Did land on bump from I remember but as the day went on I ached more and more and worried. So rang the mat unit who asked me.to go in. Got to listen to the heartbeat and they're not worried about baby. Just me/my pride which is rather sore and bruised!

@Lemonysherbet so sorry to hear that. But glad Baby is ok. So frightening I bet. It happened to mw at 7 weeks but ratger i got knocked to the floor by rowing rugger buggers. Midwife said the Baby is so well protected in there.

I bet you are feeling Baby. It is a bit likke someone tapping on your tummy from the inside. I gave my tummy a little tap today and a gentle squeeze either side and talked to the Baby. I think I woke it up because they started moving around from then.

Lemonysherbet · 06/01/2020 18:43

Yeh a big relief! Also apologies for my terrible spelling! *I didn't land on bump that was meant to say 🤦‍♀️

Got my 20 week scan in a week, I can't wait!

@Lemonysherbet oh no! Poor you ☹️ glad you and baby are okay, it must of been worrying. One of my dogs is very strong and I'm always worrying about being pulled over! Especially in this wet weather.
