chocolate26 · 05/01/2020 20:30

hjbows88 · 05/01/2020 21:06

Has anyone got the line down their tummy yet? My app said this might have appeared this week but I definitely don’t have anything yet!

peetieswie · 05/01/2020 21:10

I'm due 19th! Although put it in an app based on gestation and it said 18th.
Been feeling movement but may be stomach rumbling.

AmyMaria2 · 05/01/2020 21:10

@Pegase my bump definitely doesn't disappear in the morning, I feel massive already lol, midwife commented on how big and pronounced my bump is, but baby has been measuring bigger at every scan!! 🙈💙x

chocolate26 · 05/01/2020 21:18

@hjbows88 I have the line appearing down my stomach! Is it the one made from hair? My hair on my tummy seems to be getting darker. I just spent 2 hours cooking dinner and threw it back up 😫 now I'm hungry again!

Pegase · 05/01/2020 21:26

Also due on 20th but expecting a C section which is a week earlier I think.

MissisBee · 05/01/2020 21:28

I'm also on aspirin, as I had pre-eclampsia before. And also still suffering from nausea and vomiting. Threw up halfway through lunch today. The aspirin was causing me heartburn but that and the nausea have improved since I've started omeprazole

mrssunshinexxx · 05/01/2020 21:37

Hi

@chocolate26 nice to have due date buddies :)

@hjbows88

@newbyxx my tummy is hairy!

I'm really looking forward to getting my 20 wk scan keep checking the letter box thought it might of come by now will mention to midwife on wed x

Is anyone finding out the gender ?

chocolate26 · 05/01/2020 21:42

@mrssunshinexxx yes there's a few of us on here due on 20th or very close to it 😃

I haven't had my letter for my 20 week scan yet either, I got my letter for 12 week scan when I was 10 weeks so I'm thinking I might not get it until I'm around 18 weeks 😕 I really want to know when it is though!

I'm not finding out what I'm having! DH wants it to be a surprise so we are going with that 😊 are you finding out?

Zoey92 · 05/01/2020 21:48

@chocolate26 yea my lines started too, quite faint atm but i know it's there as I'm not usually so hairy 😂

RPPs · 05/01/2020 22:04

Great to hear all your updates and be able to get comfort from the same symptoms.
I had the worst ever pain from trapped wind. Apparently its quite common but I hope you never get it. 7 hours with no relief and I had to take a 1 hour flight back to London. I was doubled over with the pain. DH was so scared. When we came in tp land it exaggerated the pain and felt like a dozen tiny knives stabbing my chest. The tears were tripping me and it didnt ease until about hour after I landed. We called the midwife ooh line and she told me that they only deal with patients after 18 weeks.

Laying across a table gave the best relief. What's frustrating is you cant take any medicine.

I'm 17+3 feel properly pregnant now. Got my first mat jeans today.

Anyone finding sleeping on tbeir sides tricky? I keep waking up with sore hips and shoulders and on my back so ordered a pillow.

Had my 16 week apt but she didn't take my bloods. Are they meant to? Apparently I have protein in my pee again so might mean more antibiotic. Although she recommended when taking your urine sample to do so mid flow.

I had a little dancer in my belly last night. Lots of movement and it made it all feel real.

I got to hear the hb at my 16/17week scan but noticed she checked for it before turning sound on.

Desparate for 20 wk scan. Wishing you all the best with yours

RPPs · 05/01/2020 22:06

I was told that the 20wk scan should have been booked after the 12wk scan. Mine wasn't so Id recommend you call them to book it asap. This was the second scan Ive had to chase out of 3.

mrssunshinexxx · 05/01/2020 22:24

@RPPs ouch that sounds painful!
The lady on the desk after my last consultant app said it would be posted out to me, I have been told to sleep on my left hand side as this is safest so been trying to but it doesn't feel natural I ordered a huge pillow off amAzon which should come in the next day or so really hoping that's going to help keep me on my side x

mrssunshinexxx · 05/01/2020 22:24

@chocolate26 eek we can't decide think we are just going to decide on the day I know some hospitals don't tell you the gender as that's obviously not what the 20 week scan is for so thinking we will leave it up to fate and see if the sonographer asks x

Zoey92 · 05/01/2020 23:06

@RPPs I'm finding it really hard sleeping on my left side

hjbows88 · 06/01/2020 08:48

I’m going to get the pillow out from week 18 I think although don’t need to sleep on side until third trimester according to the Tommy’s website.

Has anyone else found they’ve not put on weight in second trimester? I put on about 6lbs in first trimester but only a pound or two since then!

umabb · 06/01/2020 09:35

@RPPs I had the same problem with trapped wind before Christmas and it hurts like hell! Kept on walking up mid of the night too which was awful.

I woke up a lot overnight because the body is so sore literally in all joints and find it hard to keep on my sides too. What make of the pillow did you get? I'm going to take a look at John Lewis online today.

I felt the most movements last night after we watched a pantomime!!( we are weirdos, probably the only people going to pantomimes without children. It was so reassuring to feel the baby.

I've not booked my 20wks scan yet!! Will do it today thanks for the info

17+1 today

umabb · 06/01/2020 09:36

Oh I got my maternity trousers on too now. So comfortable! Will get another pair and will try my new leggings tomorrow too

APD1981 · 06/01/2020 09:55

I've been in maternity jeans and leggings for a few weeks already. Have some new work trousers to wear when I go back tomorrow, too.

I've been feeling lots of movement over the last few days including a very obvious 'kick' last night. Always in the same place pretty much so I am sure it is baby. It's so lovely to start feeling it!

RPPs · 06/01/2020 10:15

@mrssunshinexxx did you get one of the U shaped pillows from Amazon? Mine arrives Wednesday and Im desparate for it.

@hjbows88 and @zoey92 I think we need to lay on our sides feom week 20. It explained its because the weight of the baby can put pressure on artery causing nausea and dizziness but also cutting air supply to the baby. Im not sure if Im now paranoid or its happening already but when I moved off my aching left shoulder onto my back my heart skipped a beat and the baby kicked and I could feel it with my hand. It's probably in my mind but its making sleep very interupted. In the semi conscious sleep state mixed with worry, I might have been imagining it.

newbyxx · 06/01/2020 10:41

I'm having awful sleep, with continuous tossing and turning and worrying about waking up on my back! I'm going to get the dreamgeni pillow hopefully that will work! At £45 though I feel it's expensive!

mrssunshinexxx · 06/01/2020 11:05

@RPPs I got the u one that goes all around you I've had an email to say it's been delivered today wasn't expecting it until wed so that's fab ' will report how it goes overnight tomorrow. My consultant told me from week 14 to start sleeping on left and not to stop x
