Ah you beat me to it!

Eek! I’m almost in the 3rd tri - can’t believe it. SO fast this time round!

maxiflump1 · 10/11/2018 10:14

@Since2016 Grin Glad you enjoyed centre parcs: we are huge fans! Went to Sherwood Forest for first time a few weeks ago with in laws and it was great. Not cheap but worth the money!

It was fab!! We used to go all the time as kids so it was surreal to be back with my own!! I’m not sure it’s worth the school hol prices but definitely outside term time! We’ve all had killer colds but still was lovely! Lots of other bumps and toddlers - just perfect!

Yakadee · 10/11/2018 10:38

Yay, in the 3rd tri tomorrow! Woop!

It really is going fast. Finally sorting babies room out too so starting to feel a bit more real.
Xx

cw96 · 10/11/2018 10:56

Sounds stupid but does the 3rd trimester start at 27 weeks? I thought it did but some places are saying 28Confused

Baby160P · 10/11/2018 10:57

@Since2016 I agree with the visitors.

Hopefully we will just be home!!

1stTimeTina · 10/11/2018 11:00

The 3rd tri confuses me too, there a couple of ladies at work who are due after me but telling people they're in their third tri while I'm still saying I'm in my 2nd? The whole month vs weeks thing is confusing too!

Yakadee · 10/11/2018 11:04

I thought it was 28 weeks? I'm 28 weeks tomorrow so thought it started then? Xx

Alicejj8x · 10/11/2018 11:43

New thread already :) love this group

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 10/11/2018 12:19

@since2016 I was out the same day after my first child... day day stop my overbearing FIL and his girlfriend coming and ruining a few ‘firsts’ for me though ☹️

Thankfully I’ve much nicer in-laws this time round!

With the third trimester thing, it’s actually 26.6 weeks, so they round it up to 27 I believe. I’m counting mine as starting on the 14th November, as I’m due on the 14th February. Seems the simplest way to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

AliceRR · 10/11/2018 12:27

I think it’s 27w too which I will be tomorrow!

The time is going so fast

Celebelly · 10/11/2018 13:15

Place-marking!

Lookingforadvice123 · 10/11/2018 13:15

It's flying I agree!!! So much quicker than my first pregnancy. Probably because I'm not worrying the days away and also having a toddler keeps you pretty busy!

I thought the third trimester was 28 weeks too but if it's 27 that means I'm only a week and 4 days away woohoo! Don't want to wish the time away though .

Yakadee · 10/11/2018 13:18

Just spotted this on NHS xx

Celebelly · 10/11/2018 13:23

I'm 27 weeks today so one week to go!

AutumnLee12 · 10/11/2018 13:28

The whole weeks/months confuses me too! But seen as we have the same due date I'll go with you @NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking haha!

Anyone else feel like it's all going so fast?

Yakadee · 10/11/2018 13:32

28 weeks tomorrow - yay!

@AutumnLee12 - yes. It's whizzing by! Before you know it it'll be here. I love this time of year too. It'll soon be Christmas and Febs just around the corner! X

Surprisedmom · 10/11/2018 14:56

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking and @AutumnLee12 i’m a due date buddy with you both and very happy if third tri starts in just a few days time :-)

clairehr · 10/11/2018 15:05

Place marking... and counting down to the 3rd tri. Have a countdown calculator on my phone to due date.... 3 months to go tomorrow 😯

Since2016 · 10/11/2018 15:11

I’m unlikely to up and at ‘em the next day (c section) but hopefully v soon afterwards!!

6 weeks of work left. Wow!!

I’m in a total state of denial. Have bought nothing (save a pair of shoes from Sainsbury’s) for this poor child. Intending to get stuff out of the loft etc and sort through clothes over Christmas. Might all feel v real then!

Prem baby update - my friend is now home with her baby and doing well. Pumping exclusively which sounds exhausting but I’m trying to only offer advice as she asks for it. Just glad they’re home safe!!

lanalawr · 10/11/2018 16:17

Fab news on the prem baby. I'm so pleased they've made it home already. Well done to your friend for exclusively pumping. It's knackering! I tried giving expressed milk at every feed with a formula top up with dd after direct feeding failed but it was crazily difficult. I hope she's not putting too much pressure on herself to see people/do what others think is best. Sounds like she's doing an amazing job already and has a little fighter.

AliceRR · 10/11/2018 16:47

Anyone suddenly getting bad heartburn? I’d never really had heartburn before pregnancy but I’ve had a really mildly since early on. In the last few days it has got quite unpleasant! Gaviscon tablets and Rennie help a bit. Tried the own brand Gaviscon (from gp) last night and it worked but really made me wretch/ want to be sick!

I’m also finding I’ve had nausea again the last couple of weeks which doesn’t seem to be down to anything other than pregnancy

Since2016 · 10/11/2018 16:50

I know - she’s doing fab! I think because he was born at 34 weeks they’ll have recommended BM for as long as poss but agree it’s really not sustainable long term. She’s doing so well though - I think I’d have had a meltdown!

Fredthespider · 10/11/2018 16:52

We haven't quite worked out what we're going to do about visitors etc. Luckily as this is number one we don't need to get childcare, but we also have no family within about 2 hours of us (other than my sister who lives with us, but she's not the most mature). I'm particularly worried about my mum - she can be overbearing at the best of times and whenever she comes over she just can't sit down and has to do things. Last time my poor OH was thankfully not here whilst she was, but I had to warn him before he got home that she'd done things like move pictures around and some of our ornaments. She'd also done his ironing so at least he had one thing to be happy about. When my older sister had her baby my Mum went to stay for about a week and did things like cleaned the ceiling in the kitchen!

My worry is how long she'd want to stay. OH and I are generally quite independent and want to do things our way and find our feet, but I know she'll be upset if we make her wait too long before visiting. We're definitely not going to tell anyone when I go into labour!

On OHs side it's only his step mum left, and she never had children of her own so is more than happy to be hands off which is perfect :)
