Late to reply but I take pregnacare, makes me a bit queasy if I take it on an empty stomach. Fine if I eat with food!

Yakadee · 04/11/2018 18:26

I just watched nocturnal animals. It was really good but a bit grim / sad. Maybe one for at home? I watched 21 and that was a good watch x

Surprisedmom · 04/11/2018 18:32

@Notquiteagandt it sounds like you’re having a really rough time of it. I’m sorry I don’t have any helpful advice, except perhaps you could speak to your midwife about your concerns about your physical strength and how the HG is making you feel overall.

Baby160P · 04/11/2018 19:43

@Yakadee I should really get downloading.

We started watching 'the good life' new series but I keep falling asleep so need to play catch up 🙈

Any recommendations??

Yakadee · 04/11/2018 19:51

@Baby160P - have you watched making a murderer? We loved that. X

sickmumma · 04/11/2018 20:16

Hey ladies! I feel like I am so far behind you all! Already having your tests I am only 23 weeks! Got my whooping cough and flu jab tomorrow! Hoping I don't feel too rubbish the day after as will be back to work!

We finally decided on our buggy and I've emailed our local store and they are matching the baby show prices so we get the buggy plus the car seat, footmuff and raincover for £50 more than the buggy alone costs so saving about £300! Happy with that! Putting down a deposit and paying it off over the next couple of months so we will prob ask for money for Xmas to go towards that and I was going to ask for PJ's (although my tummy is starting to stick out now already so might have to get those sooner rather than later 😂), some nice moisturiser, the matching baby bag for the pram and a nice jumper or something. We aren't going to go too OTT this year we are trying to be a bit more sensible! It's also our significant birthdays a week before baby is due so going to be a bit crazy!

powkin · 04/11/2018 20:17

Sisters on Netflix is worth a watch tv wise!

I almost had on a full on panic/anxiety attack about having a baby a while ago. It hits me in waves, but now we are at the viable stage it has hit me hard again. It’s not “I don’t know if I can do this” anymore, it’s “I have to do this”. So scary!

Camsie30 · 04/11/2018 20:51

@powkin you can do it. This is what your body was made for. Your body and your baby know what to do. Honestly giving birth was one of the most beautiful, calmest moment of my life. I can't wait to do it again!

Baby160P · 04/11/2018 21:04

I haven't seen either of those so I'll get downloading.

Anyone watch Emma Willis' program on W?

Cry every time 👶🏻❤️

clairehr · 04/11/2018 21:05

@Baby160P I'm alongside you with carpal tunnel. I'm awake every 45 minutes or so trying to get rid of the pins and needles and pain, it's grim! Haven't yet found anything that helps, although midwife said something about sleeping in a cold room - hasn't yet eased it though.

twiglet · 04/11/2018 21:14

@Notquiteagandt sorry your having such a rough time!

I haven't had braxton hicks yet but over did it yesterday stupidly thought a walk would do me good was limping with pgp so badly after 20 mins and today barely able to move. Spent most of it in bed today.

Have to keep reminding myself little and often unfortunately yesterday I was stubborn as friends visiting. Next 3 weekends will be pretty tough as we are going to the rugby which is full on days. I love the rugby but dreading the Sundays after!

powkin · 04/11/2018 21:28

@Camsie30 - I know I just have to get through the birth. I’m more worried about being responsible for the development and happiness of a human being for 18 years... or a lot lot lot more.

Notquiteagandt · 04/11/2018 21:30

@twiglet and @Surprisedmom

Thanks ladies Flowers just been getting on with it but had a wobble last few days where its really getting to me. Bloody hormones 😢 think i just need a good angry cry.

Baby160P · 04/11/2018 21:48

@clairehr glad I'm not alone. I feel your pain. Tried supports, icing before bed, hot water bottle, massage. No use!!!

Eyedontknow · 04/11/2018 22:05

Haven't posted in about 6 threads, but still been following! At the 20 week scan a slight anomaly was picked up. Thankfully nothing that should impact baby too much, but will require a few operations.

@clairehr and @Baby160P the other day I noticed my hands suddenly have started cramping, so I think I'm in a similar boat to you. Haven't worked out anything that helps it either unfortunately. Have either of you noticed cramping in your feet too or do I just need new shoes?

Yakadee · 04/11/2018 22:32

@Eyedontknow - I've been getting cramp in my feet and bit. Apparently it's a thing in pregnancy (cramp in general). I believe being hydrated is supposed to be the best thing x

DeliberatelyGinger · 04/11/2018 22:35

@Eyedontknow I have so much cramping in my feet it's untrue. Generally when I'm not wearing shoes too, so I don't think it's shoe related. Can't reach my feet properly to give them a good rub when it happens Sad

Alicejj8x · 05/11/2018 07:56

Glucose drink all drunk
It's not the best but tbh it doesn't really taste of much just a clear gloopy liquid but your allowed to have water with it the only thing I didn't like was you had to drink it in front of the nurse but tbh she was busy doing her own thing

Baby160P · 05/11/2018 08:12

@Eyedontknow no feet pain thankfully as the hands are just awful!

Glad the drink isn't too bad. I need to read what to do before really!

pushit · 05/11/2018 08:15

@powkin it's very overwhelming isn't it? I spent a lot of my first pregnancy thinking 'what the F*ck have we done!' And I don't usually swear. I found the first few weeks crazy hard too, but really our only responsibility is to love them.
(And sometimes that love isn't instant so feeding and changing and cuddling is the first step. Then the love comes.) Take each day at a time.

Alicejj8x · 05/11/2018 08:54

@Baby160P

I wasn't allowed to eat or drink from 10pm the night before
Then nothing in the morning either
Got to hospital had bloods taken then had to drink the drink
Now I'm waiting till 9.30 to get more bloods done at 9.45 then I can go home
They will ring me either today or tomorrow if it's positive for diabetes if it's negative I won't hear anything :) x

Baby160P · 05/11/2018 10:02

@Alicejj8x regret booking 9am now I'll be feeling sick by 11 without eating! 🙈

Alicejj8x · 05/11/2018 10:16

@Baby160P ahh yeah that's abit later isn't it :(
Mine was booked for me at 7.40am which at the time I was like woah to early but now looking at at it it's good idea but hopefully your be okay once you have that drink it kind of fills you up lol

AliceRR · 05/11/2018 11:06

Mine is at 8:35 which I thought was ok. Not sure they do much earlier where I am

Alicejj8x · 05/11/2018 11:40

Yeh it's not too bad tbh I wasn't very hungry at all so I am sure your be fine just the waiting around after which is the longest x
