Also it's not a pain at all like some of them look. I'm now in the habit of popping it up when I do my belt.

@Baby160P Thats interesting. I might get one.

Is it easy to take out and put in? I share a car with DH at the moment so sometimes I’m in the driving seat and sometimes passenger seat - would it take a lot of time to fit in a morning?

sickmumma · 19/10/2018 19:49

I am not 100% what model it was the maxi
Cosi pebble plus isize we were looking at and the woman selling mentioned it as she had been going through the training etc unless she meant the one that was the next size up the pearl? ! If you go on their website you can put in your reg and it will say wether it's compatible. She said apparently they are trying to get all new cars to comply with the isize guidelines but said it won't be a quick fix! I didn't read up on it this is just what she said!

emalady · 19/10/2018 21:16

Interesting about bump belts.
@mrsy87 fitting in 4 car seats sounds like a logic puzzle. Glad you have specialist help!!

lanalawr · 19/10/2018 22:01

That's interesting @sickmumma because we've used the pebble plus and are currently using the two way pearl on the isofix base (they use the same base so if one fits, the other will too). I've also double checked our model of Qashqai on the maxi cosi website just now. www.maxi-cosi.co.uk/gb-en/car-seats/car-fitting-list.aspx

Lulabell1 · 20/10/2018 05:01

@yakadee I have a Kia sportage I cant recommend them anymore 7year warranty and are packed with extras!! Massive boot too x

Lulabell1 · 20/10/2018 05:09

Having worked at wilsons myself previoisly for years i can tell you a qashqai isnt great they are actually still a hatchback not really big inside a sportage is a 4x4 plenty of room and isofix! Also little advice never buy a brand new car!!! Always opt for preloved if you want the latest model they are cars with a few hundred miles on x

Yakadee · 20/10/2018 06:42

@Lulabell1 - thanks, I do like the look of those. I'd never buy new either (not that I could afford anyway lol) - we've been looking at used cars.xx

welshweasel · 20/10/2018 06:55

Argh...2 year old and husband fast asleep and I’ve been woken up by baby kicking! So frustrating.

Yakadee · 20/10/2018 07:04

Gutted! My lovely 2yo woke me up at 5:50 so no chance baby was getting in there first 😂

welshweasel · 20/10/2018 08:37

Urgh...way too early! That’s unacceptable behaviour from your toddler Grin.

Yakadee · 20/10/2018 08:41

Tell me about it! He's not well though (ear infection) so I'll let him off. I usually can't do before 6am! X

lanalawr · 20/10/2018 08:50

Toddlers and their sleeping patterns. 🙄 I was hoping for a lie in but was up at 6:45 with my 2yo. She'd climbed into our bed at some point through the night too.

Since2016 · 20/10/2018 09:08

Our 2.5 year old woke screaming in the middle of the night and a pipe leaking into the kitchen... eventually calmed down she spent the night in our bed. I’m knackered!!

Hope the toddlers are OK. DH woke me up at midnight coming to bed drunk having been playing computer games with his friends online. Didn't realise how much he was drinking until he stopped and vomited! Also woke me around 5 for painkillers he vomited back up.🤦‍♀️ He has only been sick through alcohol about 3 times since I've known him. Think he is feeling the pressure!!

Baby160P · 20/10/2018 10:02

@AliceRR it's so easy.

One popper each side.

Yakadee · 20/10/2018 10:21

Oh no, don't feel as sorry for myself now knowing I'm not the only one who didn't sleep! Hope all toddlers and hubbys are OK now x

Surprisedmom · 20/10/2018 10:22

FYI mothercare have a flash sale on for a week, thought some of you might be interested.

maxiflump1 · 20/10/2018 11:07

Anyone else feel a bit rough after their flu jab? Had mine yesterday and feeling pretty rubbish today. No
energy and a bit achey. I had a cold this week but nurse said it was fine as long as I didn't have a fever.

AliceRR · 20/10/2018 11:19

@Baby160P Thanks. I think I might get one as I am bit anxious in the car and tend to hold my bump under seat belt - can’t do that when I’m driving!

Thanks @Surprisedmom

@maxiflump1 I’ve been feeling a bit rough the last few days - weak / tired and was a bit achey on Thursday. It occurred to be it might have been flu jab as it often does make me feel a bit ropey but I had mine last week so probably not 🤷‍♀️

twiglet · 20/10/2018 12:32

@maxiflump1 yes I felt rubbish after my flu jab for 2 days or so.

I had a bit of a hormonal moment this morning, house renovations are taking longer than hoped due to longer lead times one supplier said this morning they hoped to be able to fit stuff before Christmas..... I had hoped to get it all sorted by mid November!

The thought of Christmas with no downstairs rooms, sofa, dining room or carpets pushed me over the edge I actually had to leave before I cried in the guys face Blush. DH negotiated with them for first week of Dec after I had gone to the car to cry. I think he used me as leverage to say pregnant wife please see what you can do......

emalady · 20/10/2018 13:38

Was it here someone pointed out the deal on amazon for bambino mio? It said delivery December but mine just arrived!! Had to explain it to DH. Timings worked quite well as he is still being apologetic!!

twiglet · 20/10/2018 14:33

@emalady it was posted here mine arrive tomorrow I ended up ordering 2 sets although one was ordered at a 4am awake spell after I had checked the price of adding additional nappies!

Quite looking forward to seeing them after doing more reading on them I'm alot happier going down the reusable route then I was.

Thanks @Surprisedmom for the link best baby bargain so far!

costacoffeecup · 20/10/2018 14:58

Anyone really struggling with constipation? I have had to resort to desperate and unspeakable measures today, was genuinely thinking I'd have to pitch up to hospital at one point. I'm giving up the vitamins now I think 😬

AliceRR · 20/10/2018 15:52

@twiglet @emalady That’s interesting. I ordered 3 sets as DH suggested we would need at least 2, which it hunk is right, and I might give a set to my friend who is due in march or I’ll just keep all three. Not sure whether she’d be horrified at the idea of reusable nappies but I have time to sound her out before March

I wouldn’t have minded them coming int December tbh as I just have to store them but they were a fantastic bargain
