Hi everyone. Today is my first day in the office for a while and DD is ill, luckily DH had a fairly free day.

sunnywithachanceofpanic · 03/09/2018 11:05

@AceyMac13 I feel your pain I will be 14 weeks tomorrow and only have my booking in on Thursday after them messing up appointments and there being no midwife available. Doesn't fill me with great confidence. Is there a direct number you can call?

LovelyFishy · 03/09/2018 11:52

Finally had my 1st weird pregnancy dream! I was helping Paul Hollywood make a love sauce, like a proper Harry Potter type magic potion.

wordsmithereens · 03/09/2018 13:01

Checking in! Was feeling well enough yesterday to spend the afternoon and evening at our friends' for a (chilled, kids included) party. Then came home and promptly threw up the cake I'd eaten before leaving. So another rest day today. :( Am 14+2 now, so would love a bit of an improvement now!

VillageFete · 03/09/2018 13:22

I couldn’t check in yesterday. Had the headache from hell and was absolutely exhausted! I am exactly 10 weeks today. My paranoia tells me I need another private scan this week.

My booking in appt is next Monday. I have a feeling my 12 week scan will be closer to 14 weeks...

melissa112 · 03/09/2018 14:08

Hi all - checking in. Thanks for the new thread!

I'm with you ladies on the insomnia front. Barely sleeping and when i do I just dream about the baby all the time but really odd vivid dreams.

First day back in work today after nearly 5 weeks of working from home/signed off sick. Just having lunch now and surprised I've made it this far through the day. My eyes are dropping!

melissa112 · 03/09/2018 14:11

@BadBadBeans just replying to your message on the other thread. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We sound quite similar in regards to the anxiety. I would feel the same as you regarding your DS's comforter but it would never even cross my OH's mind to be worried about anything like that. I don't think you have anything to worry about at all but I think it's easy for our minds to run away with themselves.

I do have anxiety in general yes. It's definitely gotten worse recently. We have a dog who I walk daily (or did before morning sickness hit). OH has been walking her for me and I never used to care about any mud she went in, I'd just wipe her with a towel when she got in and that was that. Now I'm worrying about her stepping in other dogs wee or bringing a tick into the house, despite her never having a tick on her. I think if it gets worse I'll mention it because I don't want it to escalate too much.

Thanks so much for your reply, it has made me feel better, not that I'm glad you suffer from anxiety too, it's awful, I'm just glad to have someone to share it with and help me think rationally.

Nightmanagerfan · 03/09/2018 14:29

Afternoon all. Think I overdid it this weekend - went to a wedding with lots of travel on sat and an art exhibition yesterday. Ended up being awake most of the night vomiting yellow bile. Still can’t keep water down which is worrying. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or just pregnancy sickness/exhaustion. When do I need to worry re lack of fluids?

myotherbagisgucci · 03/09/2018 15:21

Crikey, 4 threads done already!

SquirtlesMumAgain · 03/09/2018 16:03

Definitely not suffering from any issue sleeping once I get to sleep, just the fun of getting comfy. Sorry for those suffering.

Scan tomorrow and anxiety is running overtime. Last night I couldn't get to sleep because my brain decided I needed to draft the text I would have to send if there wasn't a heartbeat.... I think this pregnancy has been so horrible so far that something in my brain has decided the worst is going to happen. We will see tomorrow I guess!

Hope anyone having a scan today had some lovely pics :)

Gronk27 · 03/09/2018 16:37

@nightmanagerfan sounds a bit like my episode. I would say try something other than plain water. Full sugar squash maybe? That helped me last time I couldn't keep water down, something about plain water that the body rejects but it likes a bit of sugar. If you throw it up nothing lost. Maybe ring 111 if you're worried.

ladycarlotta · 03/09/2018 16:50

@squirtlesmumagain hope you can relax a little! And that your scan goes well - you've had such a time of it. Fingers crossed you see a healthy little wriggler tomorrow.

Murphyrocks · 03/09/2018 18:08

Sorry you're suffering @nightmanagerfan. Fluids I think if you haven't kept any down for 24 hours? Maybe call the midwife in the morning if you still can't keep anything down by then?

puravida31 · 03/09/2018 18:11

Checking in, thanks for the new thread! I also really miss sleep 😩

Nightmanagerfan · 03/09/2018 18:58

@gronk27 @murphyrocks thanks so much for replying - I’m drinking cordial now and have kept half a glass down. Feeling very weak. I’ll try to eat something plain later. Typical - today DH is working late and won’t be home til after 10!

Gronk27 · 03/09/2018 19:17

@nightmanagerfan plenty of rest. Little sips, no big gulps. Maybe some plain toast. Feel better! Why oh why are they always busy when we want them. Flowers

Wineandchoccy · 03/09/2018 19:45

@SquirtlesMumAgain good luck for tomorrow I will be thinking of you x

Wineandchoccy · 03/09/2018 19:47

@Nightmanagerfan you poor thing I hope it is a bug so goes very quickly for you. If you still feel rough tomorrow I would call the midwives for advice

Bluebelltulip · 03/09/2018 20:12

Hope you are feeling better soon @Nightmanagerfan.

Good luck for your scan tomorrow @Squirtlesmumagain.

Welshgal18 · 03/09/2018 20:39

Had my scan today, so relieved to see the little one wriggling about. They put me down as 12+4 so my new EDD is now 14/03/19.
Fed up of this constant nausea now though Sad. Because of the lack of sickness I’m thinking more a boy, but I’m sure it’s too soon to tell Hmm

@Welshgal18 lovely scan photos

HidCat · 03/09/2018 20:53

@Welshgal18 congratulations on a good scan. I'm glad all is well.

Marmite2018 · 03/09/2018 21:10

@Nightmanagerfan feel better and take care.

@SquirtlesMumAgain good luck with your scan tomorrow!

@Welshgal18 beautiful scan!

Well I officially entered second trimester today and promptly threw up on myself in the shower. Officially a new low!!!!!! I blame the early alarm as today was the end of the school holidays and back to school. Hearing your stories of insomnia sounds awful :(. I hope it improves for you all. Luckily that is one symptom I don't have. What I have in sickness I make up for in sleep!

hamandpease · 03/09/2018 21:27

Woah I think I missed the whole of thread 4 😮

ballanj · 03/09/2018 21:28

@SquirtlesMumAgain good luck with your scan tomorrow xx

@Welshgal18 lovely scan photos, we are due date buddies!

@Nightmanagerfan you poor thing, hope you feel better soon. Sloooooow sips of that squash.

I napped on and off for nearly 3 hours today between 12 and 3. Hoping for a more restful night this evening. So sorry to all of you who are feeling rough xx
