@VillageFete
You are only due a few days after me and I have also stopped needing to pee at night.
I'm going to bed a bit later because I can't sleep but woke at 6.30am to pee rather than 2am and 4/5am.
Here's me looking at a positive as I don't have to keep getting out of bed at night.
I'm going to hydrate more today.

Murphyrocks · 05/09/2018 10:57

@Villagefete with both my pregnancies I started waking in the night to pee at 4-5 weeks, then once the uterus moved up out of the pelvis it relieved the pressure on my bladder and I could sleep through again. For me this happened around 11-12 weeks both times but I think it can be anytime between about 10 and 14 weeks? Unfortunately it does come back again when baby gets much bigger towards the end of pregnancy but last time I could make it through the night all of my second trimester so hoping for the same this time!

Shampooeeee · 05/09/2018 12:11

@Villagefete I’ve now had a few nights when I haven’t woken up to pee, although I sometimes still do. I think there are a lot of variables so try not to worry.
I had a scan today and can’t believe how human the baby looks now!

VillageFete · 05/09/2018 12:43

Thanks for the reassurance regarding night times wees Grin I over analyse everything in this bloody pregnancy.

@Shampooeeee How far gone are you? I’m having a scan on Friday at 10+4

ladycarlotta · 05/09/2018 13:01

@shampooeeee glad your scan went well! It's lovely to see isn't it?

I'm in maternity wear for the first time EVER today! Feeling uninspired and tired of my jeans making me feel fat, so I put on a Seraphine jersey dress someone passed on to me. It's SO comfy! I reckon I need it in every colour! Not looking pregnant I don't think, but it's really flattering and easy to wear.

Elizabeth134 · 05/09/2018 13:27

Hi everyone.

Feeling exhausted but pretty relieved after scan today! Measuring to dates exactly. Was very quick though, thought it might take a bit longer!

@ladycarlotta Me too! Got my maternity jeggings on at work and loving it!

I've noticed random staff members glancing at my belly, so I dunno if that's me starting to show, or just that news of my pregnancy has spread round the grapevine

LittleKitty1985 · 05/09/2018 13:55

Someone just told me that I'm glowing! Haha, such a clichΓ©! I'm not sure about that, but I'm definitely feeling full of energy! #secondtrimesterwins

melissa112 · 05/09/2018 14:05

Just checking in quickly, on a short lunch today.

@ladycarlotta @Wineandchoccy glad to see that the bleeding gums is normal. I'm due a check up anyway but I'm panicking less now, thank you.

@VillageFete I was getting up a lot in the night too but it's eased off now. I'm 12+4. I also read about the uterus moving out of the pelvis so all sounds normal to me.

@ladycarlotta I'm tempted to buy some maternity clothes now. I know I lost weight due to all the sickness but my belly definitely is bigger, but it's not a bump.. I just look like I have more belly fat, it's weird. Definitely off to have a look for some maternity leggings and comfies this weekend.

@Elizabeth134 lovely scan! Baby looks so clear on the pic!

@Angelmiracle baby looks so comfy in there, very cute!

@SquirtlesMumAgain really glad all went with with your scan, lovely pic!

@Nightmanagerfan glad to hear there is no infection. Sorry you've been through so much previously, hope all goes well for your scan on Monday.

ladycarlotta · 05/09/2018 14:25

@Elizabeth134 lovely scan! There are no legs visible in my pics, so it's quite fun seeing them in other people's. Gives a bit more of an idea of what they really look like.

@LittleKitty1985 @melissa112 I think if I don't have clothes on, my tummy looks a bit more pronounced in a 'bump' kind of way, but clothed I just look like I ate all the pies. Also I measured myself today for bra-buying reasons, and my bust has grown a full FIVE INCHES since before conception. That's crazy, isn't it? I reckon maternity gear might be the way forward, in the name of comfort. I've had a few hand-me-downs and picked up some bits on Ebay, and don't feel quite so superstitious about it all now as I did before 12-week scan. Actually quite chuffed about my dress!

Shampooeeee · 05/09/2018 14:45

I’m 14+5 @VillageFete

Still seems early, I can’t wait to feel movements every day.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 05/09/2018 15:13

Is anyone else suffering from mood swings? I'm 11 weeks and one minute I want to tell my OH how much I love him, the next I want to rip out his wind pipe.
I'm also having crazy dreams still. Last night I dreamt that the sales manager at work had to perform an emergency C-Section on me...
The waking up to pee is driving me mental. I'm having to get up because my stomach is so sore from my bladder being over full. Then I can't get back to sleep.
The fatigue still hasn't gone... has anyone got their energy back yet?

Also, I've got a probably dumb question. I know NHS dental treatment is free but what about private? We don't have an NHS dentist in our area so I'm with BUPA. They charge an arm and a leg just for the checkup which I'm overdue but can't spare the Β£60 at the moment... especially when I could spend that money on baby things!

Elizabeth134 · 05/09/2018 15:48

@ladycarlotta that is the only one you can see the legs on. One makes it look like there are just floating feet!

Jenlou1992 · 05/09/2018 17:29

I am nearly 13 weeks and I feel miles better than I have been doing . Energy levels in morning are great but really die down about 3pm lol

My scan is in 2 days . The closer it's getting the more impatient I am getting . Just hope they don't push my dates back . Because I have waited so long for this second trimester .

SquirtlesMumAgain · 05/09/2018 17:47

Lovely scan @Elizabeth134

@Jenlou1992 it is horrible when they do that. Mine was pushed 5 days on their initial maths (but only 1 on the adjusted for cycle length estimation), so 12 weeks twice! Still feeling sick though :D

Wineandchoccy · 05/09/2018 17:53

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever If you give the dentist a call they will tell you whether they except the exemption card, not all private dentists do they need to hold a NHS contract to be able to process free treatment

Angelmiracle · 05/09/2018 18:07

@Elizabeth134 lovely whole baby scan pic glad all is well.

@ladycarlotta 5inches already yikes! What are they going to be like when your milk comes in πŸ™€

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever have you told your sales manager - I'd love to see their face!

I got home to a letter confirming that I will be transferred to a consultant at 24 weeks and the letter said to prepare for a scan at the appointment at the end of November! Hopefully that will be an extra scan as the anomaly scan is between 18 and 20+6, so yey. I know the consultant is just a precaution because of asthma issues and previous Group B Strep so not worrying about that. I'm certain that I'm feeling gentle movement too, only when I sit in a weird position though.

ladycarlotta · 05/09/2018 18:16

I'm 14+4 and still absolutely exhausted! I really hope this shifts soon, as it is I slump at around 3pm and just can't think straight or function after that. Asleep on the sofa by 9.30. Any physical activity makes it worse. It's so annoying! Nausea hasn't shifted either although luckily I never had it too bad in terms of actually being sick.

Bah! When do I glow?!

ladycarlotta · 05/09/2018 18:18

@HidCat I KNOW! Doesn't bear thinking about. I've lost a few pounds overall so god knows where it's even come from.

Elizabeth134 · 05/09/2018 18:19

Thank you @angelmiracle @squirtsmumagain @melissa112

Feel like I can relax a little now, maybe even buy some maternity trousers for work, I need them but have been holiding out.

@jenlou1992 they measured a few times at my scan couple of them were a few days ahead so think they take an average so hopefully they won’t move you!

Angelmiracle · 05/09/2018 19:15

It's so strange my trust only amends EDD if there's a difference of 5 days πŸ€” unfortunately for me mine was 7 days out πŸ™ˆ

Last time mine got moved a day @AngelMiracle which seemed completely pointless. I wish there was more standardisation in the NHS.

Starheart · 05/09/2018 19:46

Hey I was wondering if I could join the Facebook group now ? Many thanks Smile

Jenfur · 05/09/2018 20:57

Feeling totally run down today. My little man decided to muck about in the shop this evening and I was getting snappy with him for nothing. By the time we got back to the car I wanted to cry.
Held out for a couple of hours until he was in bed then complained to hubby that I was tired and sore and cold but then just started crying, feeling sorry for myself. Except it turns out that when I cry, it churns my stomach and I start to cough and heave. So thats nice.
Gahhhhh this is rubbish!!
Sorry - moan over!
