Have just found out that I am pregnant. Blimey! A bit nervous/scared! DH says scared is too strong a word. Might be from his side of things but I think that I'm scared!
Due 31st Dec or 1st Jan, can't quite work out whether cycle is 29 or 30 days.
First time, so not too sure what to expect!
Anyone else due at new year?

How are you feeling?

laughalot · 24/04/2007 14:22

VictorVictoria · 24/04/2007 14:57

BFP last night. CD25 but ovulated CD8. Hd a miscarriage in Dec so utterly terrified. Due by LMP 5th Jan but more like 29th Dec by my dates. So badly want this one to stick, am nearly 39.......

Bbabymumma · 24/04/2007 15:12

Am terrified too VictorVictoria - you are in good company. Is this your first?

ps thanks laughalot - fingerscrossed for us.

VictorVictoria · 24/04/2007 15:13

No second. Have DS 22 months.

Bbabymumma · 24/04/2007 15:17

oh lovely - my dd is almost 20 months. Any symptoms for you yet? I know its early days. Don't really believe it yet. Left test out on side before I went to work so I can check it again when I get home.

2Happy · 24/04/2007 15:24

OMG! I'm with laughalot on the Jan 07 thread - I can't believe there's an 08 thread already! The time goes soooooo fast (though maybe not in the last trimester when you're the size of a whale ). Good luck to you all xxx

VictorVictoria · 24/04/2007 15:29

ITs been weird. For most of last week I had huge sore boobs and v painful nipples. then it disappeared and I presumed i was about teh get my period. But boobs now slighty sore again and am knacekered. But that's it. I really won't believe this one until I see a heartbeat

Bbabymumma · 24/04/2007 15:49

tell me about it. Its so good to speak to other people in exactly the same situation. I've been feeling funny (I wouldn't call it sick) around mealtimes and if anyone stands too close on the train!? I'm also shattered - but my dd isn't the best sleeper so that's quite normal. Boobs are fine which is bizarre.

I have a lot of weirdy cramps down below as well which I remember from last time.

geordiemacminx · 24/04/2007 15:52

just crashing in (quite literally) from the due in april thread to wish you all good luck. I'm due this week - doesnt seem like 5 minutes since i got my positive.... hope you all enjoy every minute of your pregnancy

beansprout · 25/04/2007 11:06

Hello!! Can I join in? I've been going mad over faint lines on tests for the last few days but hey, a line is a line!! LMP was 26th March so would be due on 31st Dec.

Am v nervous though. Testing so early is a very mixed blessing I think!!

Bbabymumma · 25/04/2007 11:17

Hi beansprout

Congratulations. Pls join in - there's not many of us and we're all anxious. My line is faint too. When I got home last night it had developed into a very very thin blue line (but it had appeared quickly when I tested). Its very nervewracking isn't it? Haven't told anyone in RL apart from dh (of course) who's away in china.

Any symptoms? I have cramps and wee alot.

beansprout · 25/04/2007 11:35

Lots of cramps here too (v common) and weeing a lot too. Also knackered of course but that might just the lack of sleep from all the worrying! I have been temping, so even though I have been waking up at 4.30am and needing to wee, I have been laying there until 5.30 when is when I can take my temperature!! Arghh!! Have been ttc for 10 months and have gone a bit mad in the process.

Have been worrying about the faint line (btw, a test will only tell you anything in the first 10 mins, anything after that can't be relied on), but (as of today) I am pregnant and I now just have to hope that I make it through the next few weeks...

Am feeling vaguely sick at various points in the day. Bleugh! Everything else is fine though.

How old is your dd? I have a 2.6 ds.

beansprout · 25/04/2007 11:38

Sorry, wasn't trying to tell you all about tests. I've just been reading up on them big time for the last few days in my mad state and they keep making that point.

Am v glad this thread is here. I feel slightly less insane now. Are you planning to go to the docs yet?

pinkranger · 25/04/2007 11:40

am from the Due in Aug thread and just cant belive there is this already!

Good Luck ladies on all your pregnancies!!!

Bbabymumma · 25/04/2007 12:23

(thanks pinkranger - this is officially the nervous thread!)

Beansprout - am so grateful for this thread too. We can't talk about any of this in RL -far too early so MN is stopping me from going insane. Have been ttc for a while too but only recently joined MN. I think we may have met in more depressed times in the hut!

DD is almost 20 months now and quite a handful but cute. I work part-time for the rest.

I have exactly same symptoms as you. Sicky anytime near food time and on the train. I was lying awake between 5 and 6am this morning as well. Hormones I think.

Have just moved so am in the process with registering with docs this week and was going to get an appointment next week. I was turned away from old gps when I was pg with dd at 4 weeks and told to come back at 6 weeks! Really helpful for a 1st timer!

VictorVictoria · 25/04/2007 13:09

This whole waking up at 5am thing is something others have experienced? God I hiope it is a pregnancy symptom as I really haven't got any others apart from feeling a little "off".

beansprout · 25/04/2007 13:12

I think I went along quite early last time. Will try and hang on a few more days and then try and play it cool, "oh yeah, I think I'm about a week late and I did a test, and yeah, it was positive...." and not mention any of that holding sticks up to the light stuff

That hut kept me sane. I'm really not sure how I would have managed without it. This has taken us 10 months, although it has been 18 months since I came off depo (awful stuff).

I work part-time too. Very loose definition of "work" today though. Ahem.

beansprout · 25/04/2007 13:27

VV - same here. Am so exhausted I'm finding it difficult to think and keep feeling light headed.

Oh good.

Bbabymumma · 25/04/2007 13:34

ahem.. me too re "work".

5am waking has to be symptom - had it last time as well - so weird. I think its very early for sickness but I had it REALLY bad last time. VV - do you still have soreish boobs as well? I think mine might have grown.

I am so going to do the same at the docs beansprout - yeh, I'm a week late and pg, no biggy, look how chilled out I am.

TMI alert - pink knicks on today. Not good if you are paranoid and checking cm.

VictorVictoria · 25/04/2007 13:42

My boobs are actually notnthat sore unless I prod them hard at the sides whereupon they heart like hell. As they probably would if I wasn't up the duff. Iam afraid I have convinced myself this is another "bad egg" (so to speak) and will not really believe I am pregnant until I have an 8 week scan.

Bbabymumma · 25/04/2007 13:46

have you been to the docs already VV? I totally understand why you feel like that. I am very very aware of how early it all is and have fingers and toes crossed.

ps - same with boobs. If I hit them hard they hurt(!)

VictorVictoria · 25/04/2007 13:48

No I am lucky enough to be doing this privately and spoke to my consultant yesteray and we have agreed that I will go and have a scan at 8 weeks and then take things from there. ITs going to be the longest bloody 4 weeks of my life........
