Due at New Year....anyone else?!

Have just found out that I am pregnant. Blimey! A bit nervous/scared! DH says scared is too strong a word. Might be from his side of things but I think that I'm scared!
Due 31st Dec or 1st Jan, can't quite work out whether cycle is 29 or 30 days.
First time, so not too sure what to expect!
Anyone else due at new year?

Hi just popped over from dec thread due 30 Dec but went week over with DD1 so may be New Years baby
Feeling very sick and tired remember this well now - strugling at work thank god only work part time - and really too scared to tell them yet

It's hard not being able to tell anyone - I was at a party with DD2 today when another mum told me she was pregnant and I so wanted to say "me too"! There have been so many times over the last week when it would have been the most natural thing in the world to say, but DH and I thought we'd wait until after Monday at least (coming up to 7 weeks) as we have an app't for the results of a laparoscopy I had a few months ago, and I will ask while I'm there if he can do a scan (last app't I had a scan to check for fibroids etc so they have the equipment there)

Awen - sorry you'll have to wait a bit longer - there is no mystery about my name but the other mum I was talking to posts on MN and she knows I do as we have been on the same threads and talked about them - not actually sure if she knows my MN name but am taking no chances!!

Counting the days till Tuesday's scan and trying not to think about it too much. Sending lots of warm thoughts too little bean to keep healthy tho xx

it is my second scan had dating scan at 4/5 weeks as had clomid.. altho looks like i ov'd independently!! Hence bean was far too small to see so have another scan for week 6/7. Been told I will have another before 12 weeks as well for nuchal fold. Think I am lucky with my health care providers.

I am sooo impatient tho and want to check bean NOW!!

Just adding myself to the list. Did test on Tues and I must be about 4 +2 now. Had been feeling terrible for 10 days though. Which I now realise is unusual. Sense of smell, vomitting, nausea, burping, sound intolerance, food aversions, exhaustion. I even had to make my DP sleep in a seperate room because he smelled of wine!

Went to docs yesterday because I am taking malaria tablets and not a lot I can do. I have to keep taking the tablets but have been prescribed 5mg folic acid (5000 miligrams)

Evening all. Thanks for advice i am only 6 ish weeks so i will probably wait for couple of weeks. I am sooo tired it's not true. Can't believ me and dp going to Chicago in two weeks for a much needed break and i am going to be a right barrel of laughs Am in bed by 9, and have terrible wind! I know about not telling anyone had to make an excuse today about why i couldn't lift some tables at work.

very quiet in here this evening. Hoping you all ok and little beans are growing nicely and not making you feel too icky. I have had nausea last 3 days now.. mainly mid morning till after lunch. Boobs still achey altho they seem to improve and then get tender again in the same day.

Nervous but excited about forthcoming scan. Not one to wish time away but am at the moment

I really feel sick again today. Secretly pleased tho as can only be a good thing eh?

I only feel a little queasy and my boobs are not as sore as i thought they would be?

Due back in work July from maternity leave, can you imagine my manager's face when i say, "Hi by the way i am expecting again in Jan," we dont get on at the best of times.

lisa my boobs arent as sore as i remember with DS - i think cos they have 'changed' once it isnt so painful the next time.

I'm feeling great at the moment(ducks) and so happy and excited - tho trying just to be excited about being pg rather than getting too hooked up on the baby just yet (if that makes sense?)

Know what you mean Lisa. I am just awaiting new contract at work so hoping it will come before any visible signs appear.My neighbour had two and a half years off on maternity after getting pg 3 mths after first was born. She just gone back to work and has found the transition hard work. At least you going to have somw time back before you go off. Don't know about the boob thing girls this is my third and they are v tender!

Been eating ginger biscuits now and drinking tea. Feel ok when actually eating them.. but soon comes back.

Can manage a proper meal tho iykwim. Anyway, feeling hopeful for feeling ick and that it is a good thing. Shitting myself about scan on Tuesday as at first they couldnt see much - but good size gestational sac. Hoping to see little heart beat on tuesday as will be 6/7 weeks.

How far along are you ski? Have you been feeling sick much? Is this your first?

I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow, haven't been feeling too sick - although that was what prompted me to do a test so early (21 days exactly, this pg will feel as though it goes on forever!) I have 1 ds, and I wasn't too sick with him, terrible heartburn and bloating though until I gave up wheat.

Yeah, I think it is a good sign if you feel rubbish, think it means the pg hormones are working really well (?) Good luck for your scan - hopefully there'll be the bean with the heartbeat - sweet

been awake on and off since 6. Had bucket by the bed. Now scoffing some ginger bics and tea

Awen try sickness bands they work a treat.

will do have got some already - bought for car sickness altho they help ds they domnt seem to 'completley' get rid of sick feeling for either of us. going to see friend today who is 28 weeks i really excited for her as will be her first. She will be a fab mum, kind and patient and gentle.

I am due on 07th Jan. Went 13 days early with my first DD, so if I do the same again it would be a Christmas Day Baby!

Scot - nevqa thought about the early baby thing.. DS was 2 weeks before due date.. am due (i think) around 30th dec - 2nd Jan.. so could fall on or before xmas.. Better make sure those presents get wrapped well in advance!

Been filming all day today.. just got back. Finished off packet of ginger biscuits and a banana and pear. Feel v sick still. Tried those bands today.. I might have them on wrong or they arent working. Goingt o chill for remainder of the day

Have been feeling tired and nauseous too.
But have also had really itchy skin. Have tried loads of moisturiser, which has helped a bit.
But has anyone got any great suggestions, or is anyone else itchy too?!
