Zyla. Great news!

Drizz · 03/08/2017 09:16

Good news on here! Congrats @zyla and someone else on the page over... I had an abdominal too at 8+1. The midwife did say it often has to be internal at that stage (and early scans in previous pregnancies have all been with the dildo cam).

BlueeSpottyTiger · 03/08/2017 10:53

Great news zyla x
See i was told my scan would deffo be internal so i was about to take my pants off and the sonographers was like "oh ermm.. I'm doing an abdominal one for you" I was abit embarrassed! And I was 6+3 when i had that.. she did have to press on majorly hard though. Maybe its because I'm quite slim. I know it can be harder if you carry more weight.. not to say any of you ladies do thats just what the private sonographer told me last pregnancy.

I took my DH to my booking in apt last pregnancy (actually he came to all bar one). They don't have to come of course but it could be handy if you're not sure of their family medical history as they ask a lot of questions if I remember correctly.
Finally got my booking in apt next Fri! Actually almost excited to have my blood taken and arm squeezed!

Just checking in, I have a couple days worth of catching up to do.

Was talking to a mate earlier and she's put the fear in me, last MMC I seen HB and then a week later at reassurance scan, baby had stopped developing so because I'm not getting a follow up scan till 12 weeks she's basically been really negative and then told me not to worry as I should just be blessed/happy that I have 2 boys already! Should I be asking for another scan?

How's everyone else doing? Hope you are all well! I'm now off to read back :)

FuzzyOwl · 03/08/2017 21:41

Tea I would try not to listen to your friend. Hearing a heartbeat is really good and unless you have reason to think there is a problem, the odds are massively in your favour of this pregnancy being ok.

We are here now www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2995430-March-2018-Part-3
