Sorry to hear for those with really bad vomiting. I'm still in the random gagging group at the moment, so far avoided doing it in front of anyone but have to get train to work today which will be fun! Finding that nausea kicks in just around time I'm due to leave house and lasts till just after lunch.

Oh and yesterday was so bloated that spent half the day in agony, but - tmi alert - not able to fart so just got more and more painful! Better by yesterday evening and hopefully won't have same experience today. I'm trying fybogel as sure someone on here said it helped for their bloating.

blinkineckmum · 02/08/2017 08:50

Oh, and I had weird bloods in my first pregnancy at 12 weeks. I had CW antibodies which could have led to a Rhesus type thing, with severe jaundice/ blood transfusions etc. But they checked my partner's blood type and we were ok in the end.

Onceuponamama · 02/08/2017 09:47

I have my 8 week scan to check on the baby today I'm so nervous. We saw the heartbeat last week but I always fear the worst! Still super nauseated and bloated might have to roll myself to the centre today!

Good luck for people with scans/appointments this week!

ZylaB · 02/08/2017 09:49

once I have a scan today st 7+5or6 after seeing heartbeat last week, also fretting. Hope it goes well for you.

Flatwhite31 · 02/08/2017 10:04

Morning everyone!

@LouLouLoupee hope you get some answers from your GP today re your bloods. It could be that you're anaemic. Look after yourself.

Good luck to those of you having scans!

I'm telling my parents today. Strangely feeling nervous about it! Not sure why, as I know they'll be happy Smile. It's just such big news, and part of me feels uncomfortable sharing it having not even had my booking appointment!

My eating is all over the place at the moment. Only ate half a bagel for breakfast this morning, as I kept gagging.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 02/08/2017 10:09

Lots of luck to those having scans today!

mamasiz · 02/08/2017 10:39

Just got back from my scan after my bleeding scare on Monday and very happy to say that all is well! Bean is 8+4, has a little heartbeat and was wriggling about like a champ. So relieved! Putting my feet up for the rest of the week to celebrate 😊 Good luck to all having scans today xxx

KerryLeanne84 · 02/08/2017 10:49

@Flatwhite31 - good luck! I felt really nervous and borderline like I'd done something wrong telling my parents, like a teenager getting preggo!

@Mamasiz - wow, fantastic news!

SheSaidHeSaid · 02/08/2017 11:00

That's fantastic news mamasiz! Yay!

I've just had my booking appointment and booked in for my 12 week scan on Friday 25th Aug when I'll be 12+1. I'm now wishing my life away and hoping the next 3 weeks go quickly!!

My midwife was so lovely, she said I'd have her throughout my pregnancy apart from the appointments for scans etc. I feel so lucky that she was so nice and not some moody batalax Grin

Good luck for those having scans today and that's great news @mamasiz.

My partner doesn't think we should, on the basis that there are no bad signs so that means the little one is just happy. I suppose maybe it's a waste of money, now we're down to 3 weeks and 2 days until the scan. I just think if I could see the little scamp wriggling about that I could relax more. I still get cold a lot, so I'm worrying a bit about my hypothyroidism impacting the scamp. I've still got sore boobs, gas/constipation when I don't have the fybogel and very mild nausea; it's all mild though, should I worry or just be grateful I'm not suffering like poor @Orange and others?

Excited1203 · 02/08/2017 11:03

Hey @SheSaid, my 12 week scan date buddy! I'm 3pm, so I'll have all morning to panic. Also wishing my life away to get there.

Flatwhite31 · 02/08/2017 11:06

Great news @mamasiz!

@KerryLeanne84 that's exactly how I feel! I'm 31 and married with a full time job and a mortgage, so it's not like I'm 18 LOL. It's funny feeling like this!

Poochieblue · 02/08/2017 11:09

Fantastic news @mamasiz!!
Good luck to all those having scans today!

Those that have had their booking in appts, did you take your OH's or go alone?

Poochieblue · 02/08/2017 11:19

Poochieblue · 02/08/2017 12:46

it's completely normal to go out to my car at lunch and have a kip right?!

After i've eaten of course lol! Grin

pusscous · 02/08/2017 14:10

Hi everyone! Been a bit absent as was busy last week; friends flew into our city from California to do some sightseeing, they stayed in a hotel but we joined them most days or evenings. I was exhausted before and completely worn out when they left, but managed to keep pregnancy a secret. I'm not telling anyone until 12 weeks and our dd will be the first to know, followed by my terminally ill grandma. Both our parents are vocal about not announcing pregnancys before 12 weeks, but when we told them early last time due to circumstances, they all told someone- work colleagues in the case of my mum- she claimed they would have known anyway, and couldn't see the harm in spreading it before 10 weeks. CIA I don't want them to know that's why. And mil told her friend or more likely friends, who is like a sister. But we didn't tell aunts/ uncles at that stage and the woman in question is known but rarely seen and not very welcoming.

pusscous · 02/08/2017 14:15

Posted early to make sure my post wasn't lost by my phone.

Lunchtime naps are great, I often beat my dd to sleep 😁😂 I also suffering from the all day nausea, only one vomit incident. I've learnt from the first pregnancy that my sense of smell is the trigger for vomit so avoiding lots of things- emptying bins or even in the case of kitchen bin from using the bin as the smell is too much. Today there is something in the fridge which is not good

Poochieblue · 02/08/2017 15:05

That sounds exhausting @pusscous!

I went out to my car, set my alarm, closed my eyes and then became paranoid someone would walk passed me and wonder wtf!! (I had a snooze in my car ages ago and some random (kind hearted) woman banged on the window to check I was ok! GrinBlush )

The result is I could quite easily put my head on my desk now and just go. 2.5hrs left!! 😩😢

Poochieblue · 02/08/2017 15:08

Oh, and yes to the smells!!! I went outside this morning because I was getting too hot and feeling nauseous, only that's the smoking area and stank of stale fags so did a u-turn and headed straight for the ladies making it just in time..... 😳

SheSaidHeSaid · 02/08/2017 15:23

Hey@SheSaid, my 12 week scan date buddy! I'm 3pm, so I'll have all morning to panic. Also wishing my life away to get there

Scan buddy!!! Smile

Mines at lunchtime, which I'm quite pleased about. Imagine being the last one of the day, that'd drive me mad I think.

Scan all good! Heartbeat measuring 168bpm and I've moved forward a few days to 8+2 by today's measurement, though I think I'll stick without my dates of 7+6 until the 12 week scan :)
I'll probably be calm go maybe 2 days now?! 😂😂

Countdowntofour · 02/08/2017 18:21

@zyla did you have an abdominal scan? Fab news!!

Poochieblue · 02/08/2017 18:28

@zyla I'm so pleased!!! Yay for sticky beans :-)

ZylaB · 02/08/2017 19:38

@countdowntofour yes, and all my excess weight is on my stomach so I was worried they'd struggle but it was fine!
