Oh god, ladies, the gas the gas. I'm like a one woman sewer this morning. Thank God I work from home. Blush

whyhastherumgone · 20/07/2017 09:29

@northernbelly how do you find out whether an EPUA is drop-in etc, do you know? Mine has really limited info online, so just curious. Sorry for swamping the thread, that's enough posts from me for a while! Grin

Excited1103 · 20/07/2017 10:01

Good to hear I'm not the only swollen-up stinker in the group, thanks ladies.

LaSurprise · 20/07/2017 10:05

Nothing more since that pink discharge first thing this morning - absolutely paranoid and going to the toilet a lot 😂 Work must be thinking wtf.

I am thinking of calling the epu and saying what they say. The good news is I don't have any pain or anything. I think I'm around 6 weeks!

Drizz · 20/07/2017 11:56

Oh LaSurprise that is scary, but most likely nothing. I'd give them a call too, and/or work from home. In my office there are loads of parents of school aged kids so it becomes quite deserted in the summer hols, so I minimise going in, which means I can snack all day and have decaf without anyone noticing.

And I can join everyone in the smelly corner. I have the delightful combo of constipation, wind and bloat. I get a minor version every month after ovulation, so I blame progesterone.

FuzzyOwl · 20/07/2017 12:03

Did you call the EPU @LaSurprise?

I asked about a FB group @DancingUnicorn if you want to send me the email address you use for FB, I'll set it up and add you.

If anyone else wants to chat on FB, let me know by sending me your email address. It will be a secret group so nobody else will be able to find it and none of your friends/family will know you are in it.

ZylaB · 20/07/2017 12:08

I just had to run out of playgroup to be sick (yay!) 😁

Excited1103 · 20/07/2017 12:13

I'll hopefully join the Facebook group at some point, just feels a little early a 6w+3, too much scope for issues for me still. On that note though, miscarriage risk is at 5.9% dropping to 5.3 tomorrow and 4.7 on Saturday, which feels reassuring given that my bloat, exhaustion and nausea are clearly pointing at something going on in there.

Glad things seem ok now @LaSurprise, hope you get reassurances and no more issues.

Banania · 20/07/2017 13:50

Anyone else with 2 or more dc freaking out yet? I'm a bit all over the place. This was planned, but the reality is starting to hit. Oh god.

LaSurprise · 20/07/2017 14:04

I haven't phoned the epu, been in back to back meetings since 8.30 with no breaks 😩 Literally threw a sandwich in my face just now. I have been to the loo a few times loads and nothing more at all and no cramps or pain. I have a quieter day at work tomorrow so I'm thinking I might see how I go tonight (I'm going to literally lie with my feet up all night) and then if I have any more pink discharge or any other weird symptoms I'll phone them first thing tomorrow and ask if I can have a blood test or a scan - the scanning dept was only open til 12.30 today (although the ward is open later?) but open til 3.30 tomorrow- my husband will be around then too - id like him with me ideally!

I would definitely be up for joining the Facebook group but maybe not for a few weeks, I'm still nervous it's too early to be getting my hopes up too much Sad

Countdowntofour · 20/07/2017 14:18

@Banania Me. This'll be number four for us, so whilst I know it'll be okay and the baby will be loved, it's a massive upheaval with lots of sleepless nights and recovery, and with my youngest atm starting school in September I kind of thought that was my baby phase done lol. It'll be okay, just need to get used to all this. Once I can feel movement etc it'll become real I'm sure.

NorthernBelly · 20/07/2017 14:31

@whyhastherumgone - I just googled to find my local EPU and the info came up. The one I went to is actually called an EGU (emergency gynecology unit) so maybe it's not quite the same. Here's the info from the website. Hopefully none of us will need it but it's reassuring to know it's there.

Who can attend the Emergency Gynaecology Unit (EGU)?
This is a 24 hour walk in service. If you have had a positive pregnancy test and are experiencing abdominal pain and/or vaginal bleeding, you can attend this unit.
You can also attend if you have severe vomiting in pregnancy. If you are unsure whether you fit our admission criteria, please feel free to contact us for advice over the phone.

rebbles · 20/07/2017 14:34

Ooh where is the link to the facebook group? I have one for my Nov 15 ladies and we still talk every day. I love it. Much easier to keep track on FB!

mrskitty15 · 20/07/2017 14:36

I am sooooo windy today! Thankfully I am home alone Blush

rebbles · 20/07/2017 14:36

@Fuzzyowl just answered my own question and actually RTFT! I messaged you :) So excited this is where it all begins!!!

stumblymonkeyagain · 20/07/2017 14:48

I'm up for joining the FB group if my scan at 6pm goes okay...I have slept all day again today and just woke up BlushConfused

KitKat2891 · 20/07/2017 14:59

Just marking my place guys. Hope everyone's doing well today.

FuzzyOwl · 20/07/2017 15:00

@ZylaB hope the rest of the day is better. Can you go home if necessary?

@Banania I also have two (and they are both quite young). This was also planned but I do have moments where I wonder how I will cope. How old are your children?

Have sent you a link @rebbles and my other groups still talk daily as well. It's great!

Hope all goes well with your scan stumbly. I think I might have an early one this time, although I always hate them and haven't ever miscarried earlier than 9.5 weeks so I can't see it bringing much reassurance.

MrsLoz · 20/07/2017 15:19

I've just messaged you fuzzyowl for the Facebook group

I feel fine today apart from a little tired. 2 sleeps until my early scan, excited but nervous.

We are still trying to organise seeing the in laws to tell them, at the rate it's going the baby will probably be born at this rate Hmm

DH just said he might just tell them over the phone which we really didn't want to do!

Excited1103 · 20/07/2017 15:24

The wee sample pot is sooooo narrow. I'd gone before I left the house without thinking, but luckily it just takes a quick cup of water and I'm ready to go again. Anyway, still waiting 25 min later. How long does it take for pee to go off?

Drizz · 20/07/2017 15:48

@Banania and @FuzzyOwl I have two tinies as well and this pregnancy is unplanned as we're infertile and it took 4 years and 10 rounds of treatment to have my eldest I am delighted and petrified in equal measures, but will only face up to the realities once I pass first trimester...

OstrichRunning · 20/07/2017 16:19

Hello everyone, can I tag along? I'm five weeks this Saturday, after a frozen embryo transfer. So, so nervous as the last one didn't work, have basically done a pregnancy test every day for past two weeks Shock Had a bit of spotting today but just spoke to clinic and am reassured (for now!) so would definitely recommend picking up phone to health professional if you're anyone is worried about anything.

Best of luck to all

whyhastherumgone · 20/07/2017 16:35

Thanks @Northernbelly i phoned my epu in the end and they were lovely but won't see me early as their criteria is only one miscarriage.

Feel odd today, no queasiness or gagging but feeling very full and have quite sharp pains down my left side -anyone else had this? Tired a small usual - wasn't expecting to feel this tired when i'm only just given weeks but am typing this while horizontal! Hope everyone else is feeling okay today.
Welcome to everyone who joined today :)

whyhastherumgone · 20/07/2017 16:36

five* weeks. I hate using MN on my phone!

Poochieblue · 20/07/2017 17:07

I'm back on UK soil! Am so beyond exhausted from the travel though. On the brightside, only threw up once on the plane and managed to stop myself yelling the taxi driver to pull over on the motorway! Yay me! Lol!
Just been to see the drs re history of ectopic plus ZIKA fears and she was less than bloody useless!! Wasn't going to send me to the epu but did offer to ring them and check. Thank god they said yes!! Got early scan next Wednesday as they prefer me to be 7wks which is fair enough I suppose. Think I shall be bombarding them with ZIKA questions!
I also asked the dr what did I need to do now, I.e appts going forward/midwife etc and she said "just take your pregnancy vitamins"
WTH kind of answer is that?! Ffs!!!
Do you guys think I wait to see what the epu say or do I phone the surgery again tomorrow and ask to see a midwife?
