Thanks Hugh. Hope things pick up. Bleeding has stopped. Not shifted the plug yet (I dont think).

What is everyone doing with their little ones when you need to shower?

Sweetpeabec · 29/03/2017 07:42

Not sure if I lost my plug just now. It was down the loo.

troodiedoo · 29/03/2017 08:40

Probably was Sweetpeabec let's hope today is the day for you!

Sweetpeabec · 29/03/2017 08:48

Hopefully, not having cramps though. Anything happening with you yet?x

Garethea · 29/03/2017 09:37

Morning all.

Congrats Carol and Hugh. Glad you are having lovely cuddles.

Exciting sweetpea. Hopefully you will know for definite soon.

I had my first sweep yesterday. Tiny bit of tinged discharge yesterday and I have aches really low but I don't think it has been successful. Think it's just post sweep aches. I was 1cm and thinning but still have a way to go. But at least I'm moving in the right direction.

Is it just me Sweetpea and Troodie waiting now?

troodiedoo · 29/03/2017 09:55

Morning Garethea I had that with my first sweep attempt last week. Midwife is going to try again today. Have had a bit of backache on and off over last week so hopefully my cervix is softer today.

Sweetpeabec · 29/03/2017 10:00

Good luck troodiedoo hope this one is successful.

troodiedoo · 29/03/2017 10:05

Every time I hear the word sweep it makes me think of dale Winton Grin

Sweetpeabec · 29/03/2017 10:09

Hahaha!!! Wish it was the same. Would be a lot more fun and probably get the baby to come a lot more quickly with the running around! Not sure if I would be down the baby aisle or the alcohol first!

troodiedoo · 29/03/2017 10:31

GrinGrinGrin now that is a good idea!

troodiedoo · 29/03/2017 14:57

My cervix was soft but not open enough to do sweep today. Looks like induction on Saturday for me. Hope others are having more luck Flowers

Sweetpeabec · 29/03/2017 15:05

Aww troodiedoo I'm so sorry it didn't work. It's so frustrating waiting for baby to arrive. At least you know you will be meeting your LO by the end of the weekend. Hoping the induction works quickly for you xxx

Garethea · 29/03/2017 15:06

Haha. Loved that show. How you getting on today sweetpea? Any more progress?

How was the second sweep troodie ?

Garethea · 29/03/2017 15:09

Sorry. My page didn't refresh. Sorry it didn't work troodie. Not long til you meet your little one though. The end is in sigh t. And you still may go spontaneously.

Tini17 · 29/03/2017 15:11

Good luck to all of you still waiting (and wishing you speedy inductions if that's what you're having), I really feel for you x

Once the propess kicked in (most boring 32 hours ever!), things happened veeeery, very quickly and our little troublemaker arrived hiccuping at 3.30 pm with a kiwi delivery after getting herself stuck and wrapped up in her cord. Home by midnight 👍🏼

Garethea · 29/03/2017 15:19

Congratulations tini. Have you all settled in at home?

Annilack · 29/03/2017 15:21

Did you get your sweep at 40 week appointment @Garethea?
I have my appointment tomorrow and hoping they will give me one.

Congrats @tini17 glad she is doing well after the speedy delivery.

Garethea · 29/03/2017 15:25

I did Annilack. When we previously discussed it my said she would wait til the 4th to sweep but I must have looked so miserable she offered me one on the spot. She said at the time it was unlikely to work as my cervix is still thick but that it will help prepare me for one next week which should be more successful (if I'm still pregnant by then)

Annilack · 29/03/2017 15:37

Thanks Garethea, gives me hope for tomorrow. Let's hope your little one makes an appearance before then.

Tini17 · 29/03/2017 15:52

Thank you, yes, settling in, feeding lots and snoozing 👍🏼

Good luck with sweeps ladies x

Sweetpeabec · 29/03/2017 18:58

Thought my waters broke. Was uncontrollably weeing on myself after I did a squat. But think it was just me peeing on myself!

Anything from you garethea?

Sweetpeabec · 29/03/2017 19:23

I seem to have lost the use of my bladder, I keep leaking. Wearing a pad now. Seem to be a bit blood tinged too. Anyone know if this is waters breaking or just discharge/pee?

NameChange30 · 29/03/2017 19:44

sweetpea Could be waters, I suggest you call the maternity assessment line or whichever number you've been given. My hospital wanted to see me when I'd be leaking in case it was my waters. Have you had any cramps or contractions?
