Think I've just had my show. Had a bath since didn't really help with the pain

Gonna try and have some breakfast

Sweetpeabec · 23/03/2017 09:11

That's good, things are finally happening. When can your OH come back in to visit?

Sorry you're having a rubbish time Carol, hopefully the pessary is working by the sounds of it. I'm shocked they didn't let your OH stay the whole time.
They usually check your dilation after 24hrs and then decide if you need the gel or if your waters can be broken. I know its hard but I would try to eat something, if you end up with the drip you won't be allowed anything to eat.
Hope you get some answers soon Flowers

MotherofA · 23/03/2017 14:33

Ah thanks Hugh hahaha yes the gas lasted like a week hahaha BlushGrin. I've decided tomorrow is a pyjama day and I'm having no one round ! Then I have to start the school run Monday .
Oh Carol you poor thing I really feel for you . Your little one will be with you soon and it will all be a blur before that xx

Yeah I had a spicy curry too. Think I need spicier!

Sweetpeabec · 23/03/2017 21:01

How was the labour in the end carol?

Carolann8584 · 23/03/2017 21:28

Was as I expected, was only able to have gas and air, she got her umbilical cord wrapped round her neck so after pushing for an hour they helped luckily it worked so didnt need a c section. I had a tear 3 so had to go to theatre straight after to be stitched up, so I saw her for 10 mins then she was with the nurses and my OH for 3 hours while I was away Sad

Think she's a little tongue tied, having issues latching on but we're working on it

Sweetpeabec · 23/03/2017 21:37

Wow, that sounds traumatic. Was baby okay with your OH while you were away? How long do you think you will be in hospital? Glad your both okay now and together.

Carolann8584 · 23/03/2017 21:44

Hoping to go home tomorrow, was strange having her then leaving her. Then when I was in theatre I was numbed from the ribs down so that was tricky when I got back to them I couldn't move for about 5 hours

Carolann8584 · 23/03/2017 21:45

She was fine, they did monitor very 2 hours as her oxygen was restricted but they say she's fine

Sweetpeabec · 23/03/2017 21:52

Did you have an epidermal? Glad she's okay, poor thing, you have both been through a tough time. Sorry about all the questions, this is my first.

Carolann8584 · 23/03/2017 22:04

Its fine. I don't know what that is so don't know if I had it Wink

Sweetpeabec · 23/03/2017 22:21

Sorry my spelling. I meant epidural.

Carolann8584 · 23/03/2017 22:26

Oh no they couldn't do it. I went from 4cm to 9cm very quickly.

Sweetpeabec · 23/03/2017 22:31

Ah fair enough, well done with going through with it without one though!
