Just getting grumpiness here. Had an awful day. Really down. Midwife says our LO is fully engaged but all I get is the feeling baby is starfishing periodically. Is that a Contraction?

Hope things pick up for you soon Hugh

Sweetpeabec · 19/03/2017 11:28

Hello ladies, how is everyone today?

Hugh I'm hoping that as you have been quiet you have had your LO!? I do hope so Xxx

Carolann8584 · 19/03/2017 12:01

Wow I'm emotional today, had a good cry this morning after yelling at my dog for pooing in the kitchen 5 minutes after being let out for the toilet! Then had to leave the room while my DSS was reading me his homework book coz I just started welling up and didn't want him to think he had upset me. Bless him.

Sweetpeabec · 19/03/2017 13:02

Aww bless, these preg hormones don't help matters. Poor dog, sometimes you really wonder why they do things. What breed do you have? At least your baby hasn't arrived yet, but hopefully will make an appearance tomorrow than to keep you waiting. How are you finding looking after your DSSs? Xxx

Carolann8584 · 19/03/2017 13:10

He's a bit of a heniz 57

DSSs are really good, really well behaved so don't really have to do much Grin

Awww look at those puppy dog eyes! He knows he was naughty! Glad the DSSs are behaving, makes your life easier and no stress, so hopefully baby will want to come out soon. Have you had any symptoms of anything happening? Xxx

Carolann8584 · 19/03/2017 13:41

Nothing, apart from pressure and very light cramping. Really hope she comes soon, can tell she's running out of room. We can actually see her bum sticking out of my bump lol

Sweetpeabec · 19/03/2017 13:55

Aww that's quite cute! Have you seen any hand or foot imprints on your tummy yet? I've seen a small mound move around my belly which reminded me of the Loch Ness monster! And it feels really weird when she does a big movement and I can feel everything.

Carolann8584 · 19/03/2017 14:20

I've seen feet and knees but no hands, she's been head down since week 30-31 and her hands were above her head a lot.

It does feel weird when she stretches her legs and her feet come out one side of bump and her bum goes the other way horizontally

Sweetpeabec · 19/03/2017 17:45

She's been head down for a while then. Are you fully engaged now?

I seem to be getting bad lower back pain when I'm preparing dinner or doing the washing up. So annoying, but have to sit down it hurts so much.

Carolann8584 · 19/03/2017 18:00

Yeah, has been for about a week. She was 4/5th before then.

I get back ache washing the pots, I'm 5ft2 so my widest part lines up with the sink so need to lean over slightly.

I've had my stitch pain back in my ribs this afternoon off and on. Really sharp pain, so uncomfortable.

Sweetpeabec · 19/03/2017 18:24

Could the stitch pain be a baby's foot? I'm now 4"11 (pretty sure I was 5ft before pregnancy) so think I have the same problem when doing things in the kitchen.

LozzaRoseMumOf3tobe · 19/03/2017 18:34

God I'm 40+1 and still nowhere ☹️ Really frustrated and just want him out! Waiting until Wednesday to see my consultant seems forever a way!

Sweetpeabec · 19/03/2017 18:41

Next time I see the midwife I'll be 4 days over, hopefully won't come to that. But knowing me I'll be late!

Carolann8584 · 19/03/2017 18:53

I'm 40+3 at the MW on Tuesday. I thought it could be a foot but it's round the back so not sure

troodiedoo · 19/03/2017 18:55

So many of us in the same boat! I'll be 40+2 on weds and seeing the midwife for a sweep. Which does not sound fun. Hmm

Carolann8584 · 19/03/2017 19:04

troodie I've tried to have 2 sweeps so far and not been able to have them as my cervix wasn't quite ready, they aren't pleasant but hoping they will be able to complete one on Tuesday to help things along. Anything to help my little lady arrive.
