I mentioned the cramping, no comments or reaction to it, actually had 2 midwives come round together today. Think they are more focused on my BP, if I get any symptoms etc call MW or labour ward etc

Awww DSS2 started eating his tea and ran himself to the loo to be sick Sad had a sip of water then decided he wanted his tea. Ate it all bless him he was so drained/tired he wanted to go straight to bed after bath

MotherofA · 25/02/2017 23:39

Wonder why they didn't say anything about cramping . How do you feel now ? Hope BO stays ok for you .
Oh no poor boy bless him ! Not what you need either . Flowers

Carolann8584 · 26/02/2017 00:03

Feeling OK tonight actually, feeling a lot of pelvic pressure, feel like I'm bursting for a pee then I get to the loo and just trickle Sad drinking the same as usual

Lovely hearing about throwing birthday parties, we don't do that very often as we don't get the boys on their birthdays unless it falls on our days and then she might decide to keep them Envy

MotherofA · 26/02/2017 00:08

Aahhhh well just think in a years time you will be planning a very special one Halo. Tbh being involved in DSC parties seemed a good idea at the time but has become a very stressful experience . Their Mother will be there and it's awkward as we don't have a great relationship. I just felt bad organising my DD a party and his DC not having one so I ended out sorting both really . Don't think I will do it again in all honesty as it's too much stress and not really my job . 😐 sorry that was so neg, just hoping tomorrow is great for them .

Carolann8584 · 26/02/2017 00:09

Oh yeah definitely waddling now Grin

MotherofA · 26/02/2017 00:10

Also , glad the cramping has settled . I was having stomach pains (v mild ) today but it went after a short time . I think we will all definitely be feeling the pressure more now argh haha .

Flowers36 weeks todayyFlowersdue March 26th which just happens to be mothers day Grin had a growth scan last week and they think she's quite small- on the 10th centile... seeing my midwife Tuesday hoping she has grown since my last appointment because growth seems to be slowing down :/ have another scan booked in for next Wednesday but hoping my midwife will book me another one sooner... depending on how Tuesdays measurements go!

Well just dropped DSSs off, felt quite nauseous today, hope it's just pregnancy and not tummy bug off the boys

Couldn't sleep again last night OH has the start of Man flu, he doesn't get ill very often so when he does he really suffers. A least I can catch up on sleep while he's at work tomorrow, he refuses to call in sick ever! He said he would rather be in work passing his germs on to them and not me Halo

Finally picked the paint for this LO's bedroom, considering the theme is Fairy/fantasy it's quite nice the name of the shade is Fairy Magic Grin getting the paint tomorrow Grin

MotherofA · 26/02/2017 22:17

Ah user how lovely ! Hope baby has picked up growing for you bless you !
Carol I felt sick today too . Hope you haven't got the bug ! Ah that paint sounds lovely her room will be amazing !
Hugh fingers crossed for you that baby hangs in there Grin
It's getting so close now for all of us ! Can't wait to hear the updates of babies arriving . Do hope butter is doing ok with the stress of baby being unwell CakeFlowers

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 27/02/2017 04:15

Sorry for the radio silence!

MotherThat's mad about ten years and one day :) I hope the party went well? You'll need to write Monday off! Also, great news that baby is head down, and hope you're feeling better.

Wow Hugh, it sounds like things are starting to ramp up. Were your DS&DD early or late? I hope everyone starts feeling better in your house soon. Oh, and great news about the growth scan and position of the baby.

I hope you're also feeling better Carol and it'll be lovely when you have your DD's room done. It sounds like you had a busy weekend.

Good luck at your appointment user, and that would be a lovely due date!

Good luck on Tuesday Bobbis, looking forward to hearing how you got on.

How are you getting on Name? It must be your due date about now?

My news is that my morning sickness has gone again - it's wonderful!! Now, it's just the usual aches and pains (and lots of waddling). We're moving house when I'm 38 weeks so I am currently very slowly packing up our place. I also had a meeting with the anaesthetist at the hospital and was feeling very proud of my productivity until I realised I probably should start packing a hospital bag. Has everyone else done theirs?

Carolann8584 · 27/02/2017 07:42

genghis you're brave moving at 38 weeks, we had our house on the market until Christmas, I said if we don't get any offers before then its coming off until at least summer time

Hospital bags were done about 35 weeks after the small scan mistake but she's fine and doesn't look like making an early appearance yet Grin

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 27/02/2017 08:46

Right, I will get cracking then. I actually bought some cola bottles to go in the bag this afternoon, but ended up eating them..whoops.

NameChange30 · 27/02/2017 08:50

Genghis
Grin If it's any consolation I didn't pack my hospital bag until 39 weeks! I really hate packing! There are yummy things in my snack bag that I'm trying to forget about Grin

It is in fact my due date TODAY Shock Feels weird that the date is finally here! No sign of any action sadly. I really hope he arrives this week, it would be lovely not to start worrying about induction.

Hugh
I've been wondering about this and you may know the answer! How many options for places to give birth are there in Ireland? If I was still at home I'd be giving birth in Limerick Maternity but I've no idea if there are birth centres etc as well? And if you are very rural what are your options? Sorry I don't know where you are based so might not be an easy question to answer!

user1487776842 · 27/02/2017 13:34

Thanks ladies Smile i have a midwife appointment tomorrow, don't think I've ever been so excited and anxious about a normal appointment haha. Hoping if I'm still measuring around the same as last time I'll be able to move my scan closer. its driving me crazy not knowing anything!

bobbis · 27/02/2017 13:44

User we're in a similar boat (I'm 36 weeks on Wednesday with a small baby)
Have they said anything about inducing you early? My hospital won't leave less than 2 weeks between growth scans. Our second one is finally happening tomorrow, I feel your pain with the waiting! Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow:)

MotherofA · 27/02/2017 13:52

Wow Name happy due date !! Hehe . It's all getting so exciting!
Genghis haha about the cola bottles ! I know my age gap is crazy which is why I couldn't put it off any longer haha . I had DD at 22 and am 32 now probably more immature now though . Don't get me started on the party ... never will I do a joint one again (unless it was my own DC) . Oh I packed my bag at 29/30 weeks . I don't know where I heard it from all those years ago that that's when you should do it haha . Although you are meant to take your maternity notes everywhere with you and I never do.
User I hope all is well or they at least hurry your scan.
How are you feeling Carol & Hugh and everyone else for that matter ? My sickness is still showing it's face in the mornings and I'm waking a lot in the night but other than that I'm good really.

MotherofA · 27/02/2017 14:13

Hope baby measures well bobbis

Carolann8584 · 27/02/2017 14:19

No complaints today, had a list of things I wanted to do today, done 1 thing, picked up paint lol! Well it's a start Grin

No snacks in hospital bag.........yet Wink

Thought my bump had dropped yesterday, OH mentioned it as well but seems to be back to where it was so guessing she stopped sticking her bum up at my ribs

MotherofA · 27/02/2017 16:30

Ah good haha !
I haven't even thought of packing snacks although I don't know if it's relevant as having a CS . The notes do say to takes sports drinks though , one for first thing in the morning and one for after to help recovery ? Never heard of that before .
Oh opinions ladies , it says you can take an iPod with music to play whilst in surgery if you like . Would you bother or not ? I am just hoping they will play something so I can't hear every sound from beyond ?... Envy

NameChange30 · 27/02/2017 17:27

Don't know about music, I guess that's a personal choice, but you are likely to be in the post-natal ward for a little while after your c-section so you will definitely want snacks! Check out this recent thread:
What is helpful after a c-section?
