How is everyone?
I'm suffering from terrible insomnia at the moment Sad
I'm 38+1 and very aware I need to rest but with my due date approaching fast and final preparations still, it's so hard to switch off.

I'm with you name finally got to sleep around 3:30. Had cramping round my lower bump and groin area for most of the night, then when that stopped my carpal tunnel and heartburn took over, very shaky and tired today

NameChange30 · 14/02/2017 09:07

Ah sorry to hear that carol, do you have to work as well or are you on mat leave now?

Sorry if this is TMI but I think I just leaked a bit Blush Blush

Not started decorating the nursery yet, relying on OH and DM to paint and wallpaper as neither will let me stand on a chair or ladder to reach so I'm left with wood work lol. Going to make a start later today I think Smile well if I do my bit I can nag OH to get a move on

I use to walk 3 miles on my lunch break, that stopped a while back, I don't mind the walking it's just the breathlessness and getting hot I can't take

NameChange30 · 14/02/2017 11:07

Hugh I don't think it was wee!!
I've been doing perineum massage for about a week and it was painful the first few times but it's got noticeably easier already.

Haven't been walking or active at all (apart from pregnancy yoga which hardly counts!) for months due to the PGP. I guess it's good to walk if you can but no point pushing yourself, especially not at this late stage!

Well I'm wondering if it was my waters or at least some (there wasn't loads). Also getting cramps. But this can't be it! I'm not ready! Confused

Ha well midwife couldn't give less of a shit Grin I thought it was probably just a bit of leakage. But it has motivated me to get on with packing my hospital bag! Grin

Looking forward to my scan tomorrow morning. I haven't had many kicks to the ribs in the past couple of days, wonder if shes turned or dropped a little. Only had a scan last week and she was still head down, how quick can they turn?

I don't know whether I would be able to tell if it leaked water or wee Hmm I suppose if it happened it would know?? Certainly hope I would notice the plug at least lol

NameChange30 · 14/02/2017 13:58

The reason I don't think it was wee is that I haven't had any issues with wee so far, there was a definite trickle from the er... vaginal area and it was accompanied by bad cramping. Also sniffed it and it didn't smell like wee Blush (so far TMI sorry!£

I've been wearing liners, just in case Smile I've been going to the loo every 45 mins to an hour so I'm hoping I would notice any changes.

Work are on the verge of panic! as I haven't handed everything over yet Smile I find it amusing i'm am still quite chilled about the whole thing, I'm sure that will change soon but at the mo I''m as cool as a cucumber Grin

How quickly things can change!
Routine 34 week midwife appointment showed fundal height is measuring below the 10th centile. Within an hour later we were in the hospital with it confirmed via scan. She is all healthy besides which is positive.
Hopes of a peaceful home birth have now turned into more growth scans and them wanting to induce me in 3 weeks time. Still in shock, trying to process it all!

NameChange30 · 14/02/2017 20:31

bobbis Friends and family of mine had extra growth scans because their measurements didn't fit in the boxes, and it caused them a lot of stress, but their babies were completely healthy. I realise there is sometimes cause for concern and don't want to minimise any worries you have, but just to reassure you that if your baby is otherwise healthy it will hopefully be completely fine Flowers

Carolann8584 · 14/02/2017 20:49

bobbis I had something similar last week, was told she hadn't grown much in 3 weeks (100g) then had another scan shown the measurements were wrong on the "small" scan, was given steroid injections just incase. They were happy with her overall Smile

Well sat waiting to see midwife, been her 2and a half hours, had my scan 2hours ago. Beany is fine, still head down but as the sonographer said she's trying to suck her toes so that's why she's been giving my ribs a break.

Ready to take a nap here in the day room lol

Carolann8584 · 15/02/2017 13:18

Finally on my way to work

On the plus side, Beany is fine and still on the curve Grin

MotherofA · 15/02/2017 21:38

Hi All ! Wow lots has been happening ! Name any more news ?
Bobbis so sorry to hear about your change in birth plan !
Hugh I find it so bizarre both our baby's have gone sideways on us at the same time !! My baby feels totally transverse and very high up !
I went out last night and my back pain was that excruciating I thought I was in slow labour!! Had to have a lavender bath and some paracetamol! Hip paid at night has been waking me too !
Also the same with walking , was doing 2 miles a day but stopped around 5 months it just felt uncomfortable. Been busy here with half term spend spend spend lol
