they said you don't need the "perfect" name, just a name that you both like - and in the end you will think it's perfect because it belongs to your darling child! Thanks Name, that is very reassuring.

I think I'll hold off sharing our potential name too, actually, apart from MN (&the fb group) no one even knows which sex we're having. Well, and the doctor.

Carol your bargains sound great! And that painting job would annoy me too, though hopefully it won't be noticeable when it dries.

Your mw sounds erm, interesting Mother...as you say, at least it won't be for long.

Ha about cleaning Hugh, that's also something I would do! I hope you're feeling better now.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend? It's been so hot here that I've taken to having a daily afternoon cool bath - it's like my own private pool :) All I'm missing is a glass of wine.

Carolann8584 · 06/02/2017 15:30

my little bean is fine Grin

The scan from the 10th was correct and the scan from the 31st was wrong! Specialist doesn't understand where those figures came from to estimate the growth of beany.

So her growth is normal! currently an est. 5.9lbs, yay! chubby baby Grin

Even had a nice watch of her yawning and gulping down some fluid Grin

If anyone is planning to formula feed and wants a Perfect Prep machine, I noticed they're £60 in Boots on special offer. John Lewis have price matched too.

I was in Boots buying a few things for my hospital bag. Also went to Primark and bought huge knickers Grin (£2 for a 4-pack, bargain!) Still got stuff to buy but it feels good to be making progress.

Genghis Whereabouts are you? A daily bath sounds lovely but it would need to be a warm one here in England! Grin

Carol Glad your scan went well and baby is thriving Smile

Carol your decorating post made me giggle haha ! So glad baby is well . Can't wait for my next scan on 22nd !
Ghenghis I am missing wine greatly with or without bath hahahaha but it was -1 this morning here so no cooling down needed .
Name I also got some big primarni pants and slippers and managed to get the prep machine for that price! Seems all the shops are competing with prices for baby stuff at the perfect time for us !

How long has everyone got left ? I am 4 weeks 4 days today until ELCS

Carolann8584 · 06/02/2017 21:36

I have 5wks 3 days til EDD Grin although my DM had all 3 of us at 38 weeks so that could be 3wks 3 if you go by that theory

MotherofA · 06/02/2017 21:54

Eeeeekkkk Grin

NameChange30 · 06/02/2017 22:49

I'm 37 weeks today which is technically full term! Shock In theory that's 3 weeks to go but my osteopath thinks the baby is likely to arrive after the due date... we shall see!

I live on an island in the tropics Name....it's beautiful but the heat and humidity is killing me at the moment! That's interesting about what your osteopath said - any particular reason?

Great news about your baby Carol!

I feel so behind you all! I'm exactly 33 weeks today. Mother I hadn't realised you were having a CS - how many weeks will you be at that stage? Nice that you actually have a set date.

MotherofA · 06/02/2017 23:43

Wow Name so exciting !!

Sounds amazing Ghenghis ! Yes I will be 39 weeks exactly on the day ! It's due to complications with my bladder retaining fluid . Joyful truly Grin

NameChange30 · 06/02/2017 23:45

Genghis
A tropical island! Shock Sounds like heaven - apart from maybe in late pregnancy! Now I understand why the cool baths Smile

My osteopath said the body releases the hormone relaxin about 3-4 weeks before birth, which makes joints and muscles more flexible, so if he's seen you before that happens, he'll notice the difference when it does. Hence having a rough idea of when birth might happen. We'll see if he's right!

genghis I'm feeling this too...33 weeks on Wednesday. Feels so far away!
Can I ask when your babies turned? My little lady is still tranverse and I can't remember when my last turned... 5 year gap

MotherofA · 07/02/2017 07:02

I had a scan at 30 weeks and they said she was down but not right down and I can feel her bottom at the top of my bump xx

NameChange30 · 07/02/2017 08:50

bobbis
My baby was breech at 32w and head down at 34w. The midwife said they wouldn't worry until 36w. I've also heard that first babies turn early but subsequent babies can turn much later.

My little one has been head down since week 31, nearly 35 weeks now, was still head down at yesterdays scan. I was told her spine is on my right and my Yoga instructor said the optimal position is to have her spine on my left, something to do with babies turn clockwise on the way out and this will mean she will have less of a turn to make. I'll just be happy if shes stays head down Smile

Carolann8584 · 08/02/2017 10:58

Well it's started, the office pool is off and running. When my LO will arrive and weight lol! I put my prediction in Grin but then I have inside info

Anybody else have one? obviously not for the ELCS ladies who have their dates Grin

MotherofA · 08/02/2017 11:22

Ahhhh Carol how exciting hehe how long at work have you got left ?
I'm sure my baby turned in the night ! Her position feels different somehow ...

Carolann8584 · 08/02/2017 11:28

Well i'm on a 4 day week this week and next then 1 full week , 24th last day in this year! Grin

I predicted 38+4 which is 6th March Smile and 7.5lbs (i hope)

bobbis · 08/02/2017 13:48

Thank you! You've all put my mind at rest a bit. Hopefully girly sorts herself out in the next 3 weeks!

Butterpuff · 08/02/2017 17:03

Hi Everyone,

I disappeared off the planet for a little while there. Thank you to everyone who asked how my hospital visit went. All is looking good for the pregnancy and no more problems were found with baby. UCLH is a bit scary but Great Ormond Street is wonderful everyone is caring and considerate and they look at the welfare of the whole family not just the child they are looking after. The day after our visit my DH flew out to America for a work trip so I was a bit caught up with just looking after DD.

I have 3 weeks and 4 days left until ELCS now. Scary but exciting. I was loving the name chat. We didn't discuss DD's name until she was at least a week old. I think she was closer to 6 weeks before we decided! We are no better with this baby. Not a single name mentioned so far. Ah well.

Hopefully I can keep up with the thread a bit better now. I'm really looking forward to hearing news about the babies arriving. Smile

Huge I started to do that as well, sometimes it even comes with me so my OH doesn't have to get it Smile

MotherofA · 09/02/2017 09:47

Ok so I am super daft because I never even thought to take my bag to appointments haha . I wonder how accurate your guess will be Carol Smile.
Butter I am so sorry for all you are going through . What will happen with baby after being born then ? I hope it all goes as smoothly as possible for you and you get to relax now a bit .
Bobbis yes I am sure little one will wriggle in to position soon enough hehe . God knows where mine is now ! She feels slightly transverse !

Carolann8584 · 09/02/2017 12:01

Finished decorating the " big boy" room and found a bargain today £12.80 for Spiderman curtains from Asda, they have 20% off curtains Smile

So excited, by tomorrow night the baby's room will be empty Grin ready for us to start turning it into a little girl's room Grin
