How are you all getting on with baby names? We can't decide on anything Hmm

Bigfam · 03/10/2016 20:53

We've picked her name 😊

Lovewatchingrainfall · 03/10/2016 20:55

We have a name for a girl or two names to choose from if it's a boy.
But knowing me I will change my mind completely when I see it. Middle names I am having trouble with tho.

StubbleTurnips · 03/10/2016 20:59

We have a middle name, first names we can't agree on at all. DD has named the baby and refers to him ... DH hates it.

barkingtreefrog · 03/10/2016 21:17

stubble we did that baby name selector thing where you both privately tick all the names you like and then it reveals which ones you both ticked. In a list of 500 names there wasn't a single name we both ticked!!!!

bigfam yes please inbox me!! I need to know!

barking I'd take your birth bag, even though it's unlikely you'd need it, it will help you feel calmer knowing you have it!

Nojo82 · 03/10/2016 21:43

We have names sorted. Thought i might have went off them but i havent so far..

So ive got a consultant appointment tomorrow. Was hoping to be midwifery led but seeing him as ive a history of big babies. So is there anything i should be asking him?

Grapefruit8 · 03/10/2016 21:57

Middle names sorted here but that's pretty much it! I keep changing my mind Confused

Popskipiekin · 03/10/2016 22:16

Another one with only middle names (family ones so that was easy!) sorted. DC1 was named throughout most of that pregnancy so I feel really unsettled not having a name yet for this one. I've started a couple of threads on here and got some really helpful responses but still not decided.

Bigfam · 03/10/2016 22:21

We're encouraging our dc to call the bump by her name, dd3 who is near(ing) 2 absolutely refuses, she just says "no, baybee" Grin

Will inbox you now tipboov !

LittleBear01 · 03/10/2016 22:30

Barking, you may want to consider taking the car seat as well as notes/hospital bag, just in case or is it just me who panics about things like that?!

TipBoov · 03/10/2016 22:31

DS has chosen the baby's name himself, and both DH and I really like it, so we're going with that! Middle name will be the name we originally wanted to call DS if he'd been a girl.

Bumplovin · 03/10/2016 23:31

barking I took mine this weekend when we went away, (29w) I know someone who's friend went into labour at 28w- baby is 3 now and did great apparantly

Bigfam · 04/10/2016 03:18

On another forum that I'm there has now been around 7 or 8 birth arrivals Shock
(They're all doing really well) so I'd definitely take notes for any trips..... and I still forget to put mine in my bag, I never take them anywhere Confused

Bigfam · 04/10/2016 03:19

*that I'm on
Sorry been awake since 2am and can't get back to sleep!

SouthDownsSunshine · 04/10/2016 07:18

barking we're going away next week and we're taking baby's hospital bag with a few things (maternity pads) thrown in. We're not taking the car seat, if baby comes early we'll have time to buy a new one if necessary (the one we're currently planning to use is 5 years old and this will be it's fourth baby, so I'd be pleased for an excuse to replace it!). I'll take my notes as well.

Sorry to hear I'm not the only one with painful BH. I drank lots of water and managed to get to my pilates class without too much pain.

Lovewatchingrainfall · 04/10/2016 07:47

South forgive me if I am wrong but I thought you could not use a car seat that is older then 5years due to the plastic? I could be wrong but this is what I have been told.

Had awful heart burn last night kept me up all night then DD was wide awake at 4:30 so a day at the zoo to entertain her.

duxb · 04/10/2016 08:33

Names all sorted and the car seat in the car already here. That has more to do with me being ridiculously, naturally anxious than anything else. Planning helps me combat that x

SunnySideDownUp · 04/10/2016 09:37

I'll check that out love

Bigfam · 04/10/2016 09:55

lovewatchingrainfall I also had the most awful heartburn last night, I woke at 2am and just couldn't get back to sleep. I may have nodded of just after 6 but was up again at 7 😴 so tired!

Nojo82 · 04/10/2016 11:11

Ive yet to go out and buy stuff for my hospital bag. Will do in tbe nxt few weeks tho..

Oh ive put on so much weight since ive been off work. Depressing!!

Bigfam · 04/10/2016 11:23

I haven't bought stuff for my hospital bag yet either nojo I know everyone had posted lists but I'm still not sure what to pack for me. I only packed really light last time and that suited me just fine.

Thisisbonkers · 04/10/2016 11:27

We've a small selection of girls names but no boys. It may end up registered as Child at this rate.

I've not got hospital bag stuff. Probably ought to start thinking about it.

SolomanDaisy · 04/10/2016 12:02

Just been for a growth scan and it was all ok, phew. The abdomen has grown loads and my uterus is feeling low because the baby is transverse and pulling it across and down. I'm going to keep having fortnightly scans.

We have a name but not a middle name yet.

We're going away this weekend and I'm going to take my notes but nothing else. We won't be far from home though, so easy enough to collect my hospital bag! I can't wait to spend a few days lying in the pool for hours.

TipBoov · 04/10/2016 12:53

Glad every thing was OK at the growth scan soloman. Must be a relief!
